CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 163 - 171: What She Told You
She herself was living so miserably, yet she still thought about bringing him delicious food. Peter Gingery decided that he would treat Jane Sampson even better in the future.
"Did she tell you that?" James Black asked with a somewhat cold voice.
He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but this feeling that Jane Sampson would share everything with Peter Gingery and had endless topics with him really pissed him off!
"She posted it on Moments, hard not to know," Peter Gingery muttered, "Only she’s so easy to coax, just a few tea eggs and she’s placated."
That’s why you people always bully the adorable little Jane.
Of course, the latter half of that thought was just that, a thought. Peter Gingery didn’t have the guts to say it out loud in front of James Black.
After all, he valued his life.
James Black raised his hand and took Peter Gingery’s mobile phone, which was open to Jane Sampson’s Moments page. There, a selfie avatar under the name Princess Egg-Yolk was indeed Jane’s, and sure enough, below the avatar was a post about him scolding her.
Seeing that Jane had forgiven him, James Black tossed the mobile phone back to Peter Gingery. He thought to himself that Jane had just forgiven him, and if he couldn’t control his temper now and called her back to question her about the tea eggs, she would probably be upset again, right?
James Black pinched his temple, comforting himself, let it be, if she messed with the tea leaves in the refrigerator as she pleased, it was his own doing for saying she could. As a man, he wouldn’t allow himself to squabble with his wife over such trifles, much less argue over these inanimate things.
However, the art of getting along as husband and wife was indeed more difficult than any test. James Black didn’t know how to speak to Jane so that she might spare his treasured items in the fridge a bit.
After taking back his mobile phone, Peter Gingery had only one thought in his mind, which was, thank goodness he hadn’t managed to post his comment earlier, otherwise James Black would have seen it just now.
It was really too dangerous!
What thoughts a tea egg could provoke in Chief James Black was something Jane Sampson didn’t know and wasn’t curious about.
After returning home, Jane Sampson had not been idle for long, and two days later, after telling Old Master Black she was leaving, she took her luggage and left Capital Province for City C by herself.
Jane never expected that she, a newcomer without a single work to her name, would have her own group of fans. On the express train, even with a mask on, she was recognized by a group of university students, and when she got off, she was earnestly asked for a group photo by those fans.
Jane was pleasantly surprised and nodded, took off her mask and excitedly stood in the middle of the crowd, happily snapping several photos with everyone. The next day, these photos made it to the hot search, and comments about Jane being approachable and more beautiful in person became the latest labels for her whole person.
This time, it wasn’t Rock Bell who bought Jane the hot search; it was the effects of the hot search from a few days ago. Jane became the first newcomer in history to gain fame before having any works, and her buzz words were all associated with a very positive, uplifting, and righteous image.
"There’s a notice here you could take advantage of while you’re hot. I’ll talk to Daniel Taylor about pushing back your entry into the film crew by two days," Rock Bell came hurtling in with a freshly signed contract for Jane Sampson, slapped a notice right in front of her, "It’s a TV show from a Capital Province TV station, with really good ratings."
