CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1532 - 1540: All Are Benefactors
"I protest this! I retweeted it too; why don’t you feel any gratitude toward me? Food, I want some too!" Oscar Wilson rattled off a list of dishes he loved to eat and even mentioned when he could visit the Capital Province to see Jane Sampson.
"Mimi Wood’s Twitter account is a big V, while your account is like an invisible kid, so your retweet got buried in the vast sea of users, and I didn’t notice it," Jane Sampson explained. "Alright then, you’re all benefactors. Let’s plan to meet up sometime. Or better yet, why don’t we gather at my home?"
Jane Sampson noticed retweets from Kane Forest and Alexander Forest, as well as James Carter’s support on Twitter.
In fact, the tweets Jane posted last night weren’t intended to gain popularity through retweets; they were purely expressions of personal emotions.
But Kane Forest, Alexander Forest, and James Carter all retweeted them, which did feel like a kind gesture to Jane.
Of course, what surprised Jane more was Amber Edwards showing support as well.
The woman who had always been at odds with her both in real life and in the internet realm unexpectedly took action to support her this time.
Jane Sampson sent Amber Edwards a private message to thank her in the morning.
As for Oscar Wilson’s retweet, she hadn’t paid much attention to it; his account didn’t have high popularity, so even after scrolling through a few pages, she didn’t notice it.
"At your home? Mimi Wood’s Twitter account isn’t popular, and now the Monkey King of Sampson is inviting us over for a meal! What do I do? I’m feeling a bit excited~"—Poor Youth.
After posting this statement, Poor Youth privately messaged Jane Sampson.
"Monkey King, why don’t we wait until Jillian Carter’s marriage is over? She’s getting married, and I’ll livestream the whole thing for you. Want to watch?" Oscar Wilson asked.
"No thanks. Her marriage has nothing to do with me," Jane Sampson replied without hesitation.
"You’re not even the slightest bit curious about which man is unlucky enough to marry her? Let me tell you, although her wedding is scheduled soon, I heard the arrangements are grand. They’re sending out invitations everywhere—I even got one. Just for fun, I decided I’d pack a red envelope and go check it out," Oscar said.
"Not curious. Whether her life is good or bad has nothing to do with me," Jane Sampson said. Then, with a sigh, she corrected herself, "Alright, fine. I’ll wish her happiness anyway."
After all, Jillian Carter was James Carter’s younger sister.
Aunt Carter and Uncle Carter were such wonderful people.
If Jillian’s marriage turned out unhappy, James Carter would be upset, and her terrific daddy and mommy would be worried for her.
"I’ll still wish her happiness and hope that man treats her well," Jane Sampson said. "You’re going to the wedding, so just go, but don’t do any livestreams. Marriage is the most important day in a woman’s life; there’s no need to create trouble or risk causing conflicts and unpleasantness between her and your family."
"Tsk, I realize you’re such a softie," Oscar Wilson snorted but agreed. "Alright, fine, I’ll listen to you. I won’t go then. Let me figure out when I can come to the Capital Province to see you—I still remember you said you’d treat us to a meal."
Jane Sampson didn’t hesitate to agree, thinking to herself that she’d need to pick a day when she had time and James Black would also be available, preferably when he’d be at home.
That way, James Black could help her greet the guests or lend a hand.
Like, after meals, James Black could wash the bowls.
After lunch, Jane Sampson didn’t have time for a lunch break. Lucy Brisk and the driver were already waiting downstairs. Jane Sampson grabbed her purse, hurried downstairs, jumped into the car, and headed for Jasmine Seven’s studio.
