CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 83: Breathy Voice

Mary did not heed Amy’s request to not follow her and rushed to Amy after warning Ash and Henry that she will kick them out if ever they brawled again.

"Amy, babe... wait!" Mary called up Amy to make her stop running but she didn’t until she reach the porch of her house.

Amy sat on the porch stairs and cried. Mary sat beside her and started rubbing her back to soothe and comfort her.

"Let it all out babe, I’m just here," Mary then hugged her best friend while her heart ache for her.

"I told you not to follow me and I want to be alone," Amy sniffled as she wipe her tears.

"And you know I’m stubborn. You don’t have to be alone when I am here, so suck it up. I will never leave you ever."

"It’s my fault, I’m such a bitch. To confess like that with Ash in there," Amy continued to mewl.

"Amy, just because Ash is heartbroken, doesn’t mean you should not be happy too. Ash knew since the beginning that you only see him as a friend, so you shouldn’t be guilty that you are happy with Henry. It’s no one’s fault, it is not a sin to show your affection to the person that you love," Mary uttered as she stroke Amy’s back to calm her down.

"But whatever I do, he will be hurt, and I don’t want to hurt him."

"Amy, if he truly loves you, he will be happy to see you happy. And eventually, he will get over you. Just do whatever makes you happy. Ash will be ok someday, I will talk to him," Mary promised.

Amy finally stopped crying and the two stayed sitting on the porch for some time looking at the stars and the moon.

"So, you love him?" Mary was the first one to break the silence.

"I do..." Amy tersely said.

"I am happy for you then. If ever that Henry breaks your heart, let me know right away. I will chop him into bits and pieces and put him into the coffee grinder and make him a fertilizer for your farm," Mary bawled which caught Amy by surprise but when they looked at each other, they laugh to their heart’s content, just like the old times.

"I will leave you here, I need to go back to help clean the mess that those two created. Take a rest, I know you need more after Henry tired you out earlier," Mary then winked at Amy before she stood up to walk back to her house.

Amy gave her a half smile. Her best friend never fails to make her smile. If it is not for Mary, she would have broken down or perhaps lost her sanity after her family died. Mary has always been by her side both in good and bad times.

Amy went to her room and looked for the first aid kit that she had kept there somewhere. She saw how badly Henry was beaten before she ran away and Mary’s words sink into her that it’s not her fault that Ash feels that way when she already informed him how she feels for him multiple times.

So she decided that she will no longer hold back and take care of him just as he takes care of her. She will show the world that he is hers and hers alone, no more hiding.

She was about to go out of her room with the first aid kit in her hand when the door opened. Henry did not see her at first since she was at the back side of the door but when he did, he rushed into her and wrapped her in his arms.

"I am so sorry love, I tried not to fight him but he was never gonna stop until he see me dead," Henry spoke fast trying to explain to Amy everything he has in mind before she gets the chance to push him away.

He saw how sad and angry she was before she ran away from them, and the last thing he wants is for Amy to get angry with him, not when she just told him she loves him. Henry was so worried and scared after Amy left that she might turn back on her words and decide to leave him after what happened. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

She just saw how violent he can be, he didn’t even know that he hit Dave and Rei while they were trying to stop them. It was only after Amy left that he realized that Dave and Rei were bleeding too. Both he and Ash were badly beaten, they have multiple cuts on their faces, and were bleeding all over.

Not to mention how wrecked Mary’s patio was. The tables and chairs were badly destroyed and there were broken plates and glasses everywhere. He couldn’t believe how much damage he and Ash brought upon that place.

He was so happy when Amy said the words that he was longing to hear but the next thing he knew was that Ash is already beating him. His mind went totally black and lost himself. All he wanted to do at that time is to beat him to death so that he will no longer be a threat to him and Amy.

But when Amy shouted at both of them he instantly regret what he had done. The anger he felt was immediately replaced by fear, fear of losing Amy. And when Amy walks away by herself, he felt like his soul left him as well.

Making Amy cry was the last thing that he wants to do and if he will make her sob it is only because of pleasure and not because of sadness and anger. He wanted to run after her but Mary stopped him. Mary told him to wash his face, that she will talk to her first and let him know when he can finally go and talk to Amy.

He did not question Mary’s decision since he saw how badly bleeding Ash’s face was and he is sure that his face looks the same and he doesn’t want to face Amy in that state. He cleaned himself up with Sandra and Rei’s help and waited patiently for Mary to return and give his go signal.

When Mary came back he ran to Amy’s house as if someone is chasing him. He doesn’t want to waste time or give her a chance to think of leaving him. He must apologize for his actions and convince her to still accept him after what happened.

"Please forgive me, Amy, I admit I totally lost myself there, I don’t want to lose you, please don’t leave me," Henry added.

Henry heard Amy scoff and he pulled away to look at her, when he finally faced her, he saw Amy smiling at him.

"Who said I’m leaving? I told you I love you didn’t I? I just looked for this," Amy lifted her hand to show Henry the first aid kit she is holding which made him smile.

Amy then held his hand and made him sit on the upholstered bench at the footboard of her bed. She started digging in the kit and took out the things she needs to tend to his wounds.

Henry did not say a word and just stare at her. He was thankful that Amy is not gonna back out on him, he is just glad that she stayed.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Amy asked.

"Are you mad at me?" Henry asked back.

"Hmm..." Amy stopped before she resume putting ointment on his face, "I wouldn’t say mad, I was a little disappointed, in both of you."

Henry understood what she meant, for a person like Amy, he wonder what could make her angry or if she is even capable of that.

"At first I was blaming myself for confessing to you in front of Ash, then I saw him beat you badly I was hurt he did that to you. But I saw you punching and kicking him the same way he does so I guess it was quits between the two of you.

However, when I looked around, I felt embarrassed and ashamed of how you both destroyed Mary’s patio. Uncle Troy and Aunt Helen worked hard to build that place and you both destroyed it in just a few minutes," Amy sighed as she finish applying the medication that Henry needed.

"I am so sorry again. I will pay for it I already told Mary and her parents," Henry held both Amy’s hands and kiss them repeatedly to show how sorry he is.

"Of course, both of you will pay for it. You didn’t think I’ll let you both go right?" Amy scoff as she packs up the first aid kit.

Henry’s breath hitched, Amy sounded like it was threat and he feels that there was more to it.

"Both of you will not only pay for it, but you will have to renovate the place. That was Mary’s condition, or else both of you can no longer step in the farm and Bellory and she will hunt you down," Amy chuckled as she recalls how Mary told her that she wants to punish Ash and Henry at the same time.

"She said she will be the one who will decide what kind of renovation she wants since that is the only way both of you can compensate for her parent’s time, hard work, and effort in building that place over the years. And I am sure you are happy to oblige right?" Amy added.

"Yes, love, I will do just that. I will call my designer first thing in the morning and Mary can do whatever she wants," Henry hurriedly agreed to her condition before she changes her mind about forgiving him.

"Now, there’s one more spot left in your face that I cannot put ointment on," Amy removed the kit from the bench and placed it on the floor before she sat in Henry’s lap which made Henry raise his brow.

Amy run over her thumb on Henry’s lips touching the parts where they got cut due to the force of Ash’s punches. Henry saw Amy part her lips a bit before licking her bottom lip which made him gulp.

"How should we treat your lips? Any suggestion?" Amy murmured in a breathy voice.

Henry’s eyes widened in a flash before they narrowed at her. That action of hers gave him an instant hard-on which he didn’t even expect.
