CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 72: Yellow String Bikini
It was only Rei, Henry, and Amy who went to the farm to attend Mary’s birthday party. Henry dismissed Tony his driver, and his security team for the day to rest until the weekend, for Amy had invited them plus Anton to stay on the farm for the weekend.
Henry had really never been to the farm before. The past weeks were so busy that he never got the chance to visit it with Amy. He was looking forward to visiting her farm after he heard stories from Anton about how beautiful it is.
It was already afternoon when they arrived, and no one is on the outdoor patio which is the party’s venue, except for Mary’s dad who was setting up the table for the dinner later.
"Uncle, where is Mary?" Amy asked as she greeted Mary’s dad with a warm hug. Ever since she was young, their family treated Mary and her parents like family for Mary’s mom and her mom were childhood friends as well.
"It is so good to see you, Amy. Everyone is in the river, they actually had lunch here. Mary was so eager to show everybody the bamboo gazebo that I made for her birthday that they rushed there as soon as they were done eating," Mary’s dad bragged.
"Everybody?" Amy wondered who is he talking about when Mary said that it will be a dinner party, so she was expecting all her guests to arrive in the evening.
"Let’s see, I remember the handsome one named Anton, then Ava, and your other two bodyguard, Ash, and your cousins. Go and follow them, I’ll take care of your suitcases." He cheerfully encouraged them.
"So Ash is here too..." Henry uttered loud enough for Mary’s dad to hear without showing any emotions on his face.
"Yup, he never misses Amy and my daughter’s birthday. These three are inseparable."
"I see..." Henry tersely said and decided to not dwell too much on Ash’s presence even if he hates it. As long as he is not doing anything bad in the eyes of Amy, he can’t push him away nor completely remove him from Amy’s life.
He senses that because of Ash’s attendance, Amy started to become tense and worried and he will not let this happy moment turn sour, nothing is important to him but Amy’s happiness.
"Go on, what are you waiting for? Go and join the fun. Amy, you will love the bamboo gazebo that I made. I will bring over some snacks there in a bit," Amy nodded at Mary’s dad and she was about to walk when she felt Henry’s hand on her waist stopping her from moving forward.
She looked at him worried that Henry stopped her because he doesn’t want to join the group since Ash is there. She has been worried about this day since the two will be in one place at the same time for the whole weekend if Ash decided to stay since Henry will not go anywhere as long as she is here.
The last time that these two saw each other, they tried to hit each other’s faces and that’s the last thing that she wanted to happen. So, she will try her best to occupy Henry so that he will not have a chance to fight with Ash.
"It’s okay Henry if you don’t want to join the others in the river we can go somewhere el-" but before she can finish her sentence, Henry put his finger on her lips to stop her from talking further.
"I know you are worried about me and Ash. Please don’t be, I promise to behave even if I wanted to bury him alive right now," Henry chuckled but stopped when he saw her frown. "Just kidding love," he added.
"Thank you, let’s go then," Amy took Henry’s hand and lead him and Rei to the river.
Even before they reach the riverbank, they can already hear the voices of Mary and Ava, which made Amy smile, feeling happy that the important people in her life are having fun together.
"Seems like everyone is having fun already," Henry said casually, and Amy walked faster almost dragging Henry due to excitement and eagerness to join the others.
"WE ARE HEREEEE!!!" Rei decided to leave them and run towards the group while announcing his arrival very loudly. This made the whole group cheer for him as they welcome this wild guest.
"What an entrance Rei, I got startled," Sandra was walking towards the gazebo coming from the river when they heard Rei rush towards them screaming.
Rei turned in Sandra’s direction and his jaw dropped, possibly until the ground if Henry didn’t elbow him and brought him back to reality. It saved him from future humiliation because of staring and drooling at a blonde woman wearing a yellow string bikini swimsuit.
Sandra has bright blue eyes, layered straight hair, and a slim thick body. Rei gulped as he continuously look at Sandra who gave him a shy smile as she put on her crochet cover-up.
"Stop staring Rei, you are too obvious, we can all see it," Anton teasingly exclaimed making both Rei and Sandra blush.
"I-I’m s-sorry, I just didn’t expect-" Rei stuttered trying to explain himself in the most believable excuse he can come up with but Sandra cut him off.
"To see me in a swimsuit because I always wear baggy and loose clothes?" Sandra told it as a joke but Rei was too nervous to understand her tone.
"Yes, no, I didn’t mean it that way, damn, this is not coming out good," Rei facepalmed himself for not being able to compose himself.
"Just say she’s beautiful and sexy Rei," Mary and the rest laughed at Rei whose face turned redder than before.
While everyone is making fun of Rei, Ash just smiles and silently watches Amy and Henry from the end seat of the gazebo. Everyone was happy except for him. His heart aches constantly as he sees Amy in another man’s arms.
If not for Mary, he would have declined the invitation. His blood is boiling as he intensely observes Henry’s hands touch Amy like a leech sucking its victim. He is sure that Henry knows he is there even if he hasn’t seen him look in his direction.
It seems to him that Henry is purposely showing off his relationship with Amy as if telling him that he will never get the chance to stand beside Amy like him. That all he can do is look at Amy from far away for Henry owns all of her.
Everyone was very careful with their words since they know what was going on with Henry and Ash except for Mary, Sandra, and Maya.
"Amy, have you introduced Ash to Henry?" Maya innocently asked.
"We’ve already met," it was Henry who answered for Amy. Henry then greeted Ash casually with a nod to not make Amy worry.
"I thought your party will be in the evening," Amy stirred the conversation to lessen the tension building up between the three of them. She was able to greet Ash when their eyes met and she know that Ash understood their situation.
As much as she wanted to hug Ash right now as they use to whenever they see other, she must refrain from doing so if she doesn’t want to anger Henry which will surely make him cause havoc.
"It is still babe, but then daddy made this gazebo so I message everyone to come early so we can chill out and do fun things in the river since not everyone will stay for the weekend," Mary explained.
"What do you think? Amy and I used to play in this river when we were young for we can do a lot of things here," Mary asked Henry and Rei.
"This is beautiful and you are right, there are so many things you can do in the river, you can even ask these two if you want to learn to know what other creative things you can do here," Amy instantly blush hard at what Rei said and saw Ava, Anton, Dave, and Mitch giggling and trying hard not to laugh.
Even Henry stayed quiet for all of them know that Rei is talking about her and Henry’s rendezvous. With how she looks that day, she is sure that everyone knows what happened between her and Henry in the river.
Mary noticed how everyone is acting after Rei blurted out those words, "Why does it feel like everyone is hiding something? Do you have something to say to me, Amy? I thought we are best friends?"
"N-Nothing i-important-" Amy has no plan of admitting to anyone what happened that day but Rei is making it difficult for her. Mary will not stop asking her if ever she feels like Amy is hiding something, she is a persistent person after all.
"Not important? Let me tell you-" Amy immediately covered Henry’s mouth and quickly thinks of how to kill Mary’s curiosity.
"Squirrels! That’s right, Henry’s property has a small river with squirrels roaming around," Amy slowly removed her hand from Henry’s mouth when she saw Mary bought her answer.
"Thief squirrels," Henry chuckled which gained him a glare from Amy.
"Well good thing there are no squirrels here. Babe why don’t you show Henry around while we wait for our snack," Amy released a sigh that she didn’t know she was holding and was thankful that Mary didn’t ask for more.
