CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 45: It Is In
Their eyes were just locked onto each other as if they are in a staring contest. As much as Henry wanted them to stay like that, his growing bulge is not helping him, especially knowing that Amy is aware of it.
"Amy..." he repeated, he is trying his best not to switch their position to pin her on the bed and do all the things that he wanted to do to her ever since he met her.
"Henry..." Amy placed her hand on his chest to slowly push herself up and into a sitting position. Henry stiffens as Amy unintentionally brushed herself to his boner. He took a deep breath as she finally settle on his lower abdomen and not on top of his little friend.
Henry stayed lying on the bed looking at her, waiting for her next action. He put both his hands on her sides to hold her in place.
"I-Is it ok with you if I sleep here from now on? I-I know you said it is not a good idea for us to sleep together in one bed, but I can sleep on the couch, that’s fine with me," she stuttered as she was afraid that he will find out that she talked about his nightmare with Dr. Martin.
Henry’s forehead creased wondering what made her want to sleep with him. He was happy though, very happy in fact he wanted to ask the maids to transfer all her stuff to his room right at the moment. But he is also worried that he might not be able to stop himself anymore from going all the way with her.
"Of course, I will not let you sleep on the couch love. You can sleep here with me. I would love that," Henry gulped after saying his last sentence thinking of ways how can he control himself from pouncing on her as soon as they settle on his room tonight.
Amy smiled widely upon hearing Henry’s approval, "I will get my things right away then, uhm... where should I put my clothes by the way?"
Before Henry can answer, someone, banged on the door which made them both look at it in surprise.
The sight that greeted Rei caused his jaw to drop and brought all his blood to his face. Shock and embarrassment were clearly evident on his face. As soon as he got back to his senses he turned around and slightly close the door but enough for him to say what he came in for.
"I am so so so sorry, I didn’t mean to... I mean... to see you... to enter while it is in... damn, why didn’t you lock the door if you are going to do that?" Rei spoke too fast not knowing what right words to say, as he also fear that Henry will be in a very bad mood after he caught them in the act. He will be definitely punished big time.
He heard the two laugh, but he did not move to see why are they laughing, he held his position steadily.
"What are you talking about? Nothing is in. We were just talking, stop imagining things," Henry said. "Why are you in a hurry anyways that you barged into my room so early in the morning?" He stood up after Amy got off the bed and put on a robe.
"You told me to wake you up early last night for our sparring session, don’t you remember?" Rei slowly peeked in as he heard footsteps moving towards him.
"I did? Well, I guess I did. But my head hurts I’m not in the mood to punch you," Henry smirked, and so as Rei knowing that his friend is just joking about it, but he will not let it slide.
"Ah ok, so I guess you will do the ’other exercise’ with Amy that Dr. Martin said," Rei grinned as Henry’s eyes widened, surprised by his dauntlessness.
"What exercise?" Amy interjected.
"Jogging, I will jog with you," Henry immediately replied as he gave a warning look at Rei, but the latter was obviously not taking it seriously.
"Ok, I want to jog with you too, but not today. Ava has set a training plan for me." Amy innocently uttered.
Rei chuckled and was about to leave when Henry spoke to him again. "Looks like I will be able to punch your pretty face today after all huh."
Rei was disquieted, regretting his remark. Henry might really punch him later, he is quite moody lately anyways and the reason for the sparring is to make him release the tension in his body and mind in a controlled and safe environment.
"You two should take a warm bath first, that should help. I will ask the chef’s help in making the hangover soup, I’ll go first," Amy suggested as she made her way out of Henry’s room.
Rei went in and comfortably sat on the couch as soon as Amy close the door. "Just freaking sleep with her already, what’s wrong with you?"
"None of your business and stop telling me that. You don’t know anything," Henry squinted at him annoyingly.
"One thing I know and I’m sure of is that you haven’t slept with her until now, or else I wouldn’t be your punching bag, so it’s kinda my business too, you know," Rei proudly proclaimed.
Henry raised his brow and crossed his arms on his chest as he look at Rei sitting on the couch like it is his own, "Do you hate your job that much? You can always look for a new one."
"I’m kidding! Of course, I love my job! And I love you!" He chuckled as he try to move closer to Henry with arms wide open to hug him but Henry dodged and caught him instead.
"Gross, get out of here, you stink! Remove that alcohol smell on you," Henry held onto Rei’s shirt as he drag him out of his room.
After breakfast, everyone went off to do their daily tasks. Amy and her security went to the farm since that’s her only chance to visit her cafe and farm before going to Jayson with Henry.
"Boss, what’s the plan?" Ava broke the silence in the car.
"Well, I will talk to Mary and my cousins first, see what will they say about it, before I talk to Ash," Amy is very good at public speaking since she developed her people skills ever since she was young.
Being in the cafe most of her childhood dealing with customers helped her a lot, plus she participated in a lot of declamation contests and school reports back in high school and college so she’s used to it.
But when it comes to making business decisions, she still relies on the opinion and advice of Mary and Sandra. Mary took a business degree and had proven herself many times in handling the cafe.
Sandra on the other hand, trained under her father and has more experience in handling businesses than her. She completely trusts the two and always consults them first before making any decision.
Mary was already on the farm before they arrived. "Welcome back to the farm guys, my mom is preparing something delicious for later, so why don’t you relax while we talk," Mary told Ava, Mitch, and Dave.
"My back hurts from sitting too much, can we help your mom instead?" Mitch asked as she loves cooking as well.
"Suit yourself, you too Ava, Dave, do what you like and just be back in time for lunch," Amy said before she went with Mary to Sandra’s small office.
In Sandra’s office, the sisters are already waiting for them with newly brewed great-smelling coffee on the coffee table.
"Ahh, I love this smell, takes me back to the past. I can’t remember when was the last time I enjoyed smelling our coffee like this," Amy went directly to the table to get her share as she was drawn to that cup as soon as she entered the room.
"Three years, ever since you got busy with Jayson. You just ignored everything around you after that, even if I served you the same coffee whenever you visit the shop, your mind is always somewhere else," Mary reminded her.
"Right... It’s been a long time...Looking back, I didn’t think that all these are possible. My situation was hopeless. It was just a matter of time before Jayson’s legs gets amputated and the bank taking everything..." Amy was suddenly cut off from her reminiscing.
"And that’s all because of Prince Charming, can you marry him already?" Mary rolled her eyes as she can’t understand why her best friend is playing hard to get when it is so obvious that she is in love with Henry or if not at least falling for him already.
"Mary! Let her be... Now let’s get to business, I need to get back to work after this. Anton and his team are making us work overtime but I must say they are quite good," Sandra exclaimed.
"So I wanted to ask if anyone of you are aware that the land in the south was also in collateral with the bank? Maybe my parents mentioned it before?" Amy fired off, starting their meeting.
"What?" The three of them exclaimed in unison with dropped jaws, they can’t believe what Amy said since no one wanted that barren land.
"When I ask for more money from the bank, the papers that I signed don’t indicate that land as the third collateral. But on Henry’s investigation, it was included in the original loan that my father took. Uncle Lucas was even there when I signed the document and he also went through it before letting me sign it," Amy narrated.
"Smells fishy but perhaps you can ask them directly? So you can figure it out once and for all," Maya suggested.
"That’s the thing, I offered that to the bank before. They declined it, saying that it is worthless, the same with the other banks and real estate. No one wants it. Now Henry is asking for my permission to check out that land to see what’s in it for the bank to hide it from me," Amy sighed for she feels that Ash’s father has something to do with it but she also doesn’t want to create more tension between Ash and Henry.
"Henry has been nothing but good to you cuz, plus the fact that he talked to us and ask us permission about you shows that he deeply cares for you. He is Henry Welsh for God’s sake, I am sure he knows what he’s doing and it’s only to benefit you," Sandra also had her doubts about Ash’s father.
She thinks that there’s no way that he doesn’t know. He had been the business partner of Amy’s dad and best friend for the longest time. He is also the one who helped Amy convince the bank to lend her more, on top of the existing loan.
She used to think that it was good of him to do that, taking care of Amy as the daughter of his best friend, but now hearing Amy made her doubt his intention. She just hopes that they are all wrong.
