Chapter 357: Epilogue (1)

The case against Vanessa took longer than expected, more than one year had passed before they won the case against her. Henry’s team filed a case against Dimitri being the mastermind for the explosion, Amy’s kidnapping, and the plane crash even though Vanessa told him that she had dealt with him already. Henry wanted to make sure that there was no more threat to their lives when Vanessa received her sentence. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

With the collective effort of Rei’s team, Uncle Trev’s connection in the military, and the police, they were able to prove that Dimitri was dead. His body was found under the basement concrete floor of the Turner mansion.

As much as Henry wanted to send Francis to jail too, he was acquitted for lacking evidence of his participation in his father and Vanessa’s crimes. They couldn’t get any witnesses to testify against him at all.

It was only a few days ago that Uncle Trev received the good news of their side winning. And today he woke up early for the upcoming party after spending his night in the Welsh mansion.

"What is taking so long? Why are the kids not dressed yet? We are going to be late!" Uncle Trev yelled to the maids in the hallway as he made his way downstairs.

"Grandpa! Wait for me I am coming with you," Jena yelled from her room after hearing Trev’s voice.

"Ahh... Music to my ears. Are you happy that today you and Jayson will officially be my grandchildren?" Trevor asked Jena as he offered his arm to the young lady.

"Yes! We are both excited, so excited that it was hard to sleep last night. Grandma Alice had to make some tea for us so we could sleep."

"I had a hard time sleeping too. Now, come on, we don’t want to be late. I want to avoid the nagging of Mary and Sandra as much as possible." Trevor and Jena then joined the others downstairs before going to the ceremony when everyone was ready.

Upon arriving at the location, Jayson immediately looked for Amy who was in a private room, waiting. Jayson walked down the hallway filled with roses, calla lilies, and tulips. He smiled ear to ear like a Cheshire cat when he spotted the room where Amy was.

"Come in." Jayson heard Amy say after knocking.

"Aunt Am–" Jayson dropped his jaw and was utterly taken aback by what he saw upon entering the room.

"Really Jayson? Until when are you going to call me aunt? Can you please drop it later when I sign your adoption papers?" Amy exclaimed as she stood up to face Jayson.

But Jayson remained speechless staring at her.

Amy chuckled after seeing Jayson fully stunned by her looks. She too thinks that her hair and make-up artist did a good job. "I suppose the reason why you’re here is because they asked you to fetch me since the ceremony will start now?"

Jayson, who was still speechless just nodded. Amy walked up to him this time and pushed his jaw up to close his mouth.

"Hello? Jayson? This is exaggerating already. Get a hold of your–oh!"

Amy was startled when Jayson suddenly hugged her tight, crying.

"You are so beautiful, Mom! You looked like an angel, our angel. Thank you for saving me." Jayson hugged her tighter sobbing.

"Oh gosh, you will ruin my make-up, please don’t make me cry. You don’t have to thank me. I did all of those because I love you and Jena. We are family and families help each other," Amy wiped both their tears and chuckled.

"Look at you, such a crybaby when you are even taller than me," Amy added making Jayson laugh.

"Let’s go, Mom. We are already late. Dad might think you got abducted again," Jayson jested.

"Dad... He will like the sound of it." Amy and Jayson stepped out of the room and proceeded to the exit leading to the event.

"What took you so long?" Mary asked while impatiently waiting by the door.

"Jayson cried, that’s why," Amy joked before asking, "Is everyone there already?"

"Yes, and you are fashionably late. But they don’t mind. Everyone is eagerly waiting for you, wanting to see how beautiful you are in white." Mary then handed Amy a bouquet of white roses.

Amy frowned upon inspecting the flowers, "Are these from my plants?"

"Yes! I know you instructed us not to cut those and just buy from the shop but he is very adamant about using those specific flowers. So let’s go, no more complaining. Let’s get this over with, I am super hungry," Mary uttered before leading the way toward the mini chapel on Sandra and Rei’s soon-to-be events place business.

As they walked, Amy happily glanced at the wisteria and hydrangea decorating their path and when she saw the flower arches made by Uncle Robert for her, she smiled wider.

The music band played the music on Mary’s cue and everyone stood up and looked at the flower arch filled with white flowers, waiting for Amy and Jayson to pass through.

"Are you ready to walk down the aisle with me Mom?" Jayson asked merrily.

"Yes, son. I am ready and excited." Amy and Jayson then started walking down the aisle and as soon as they stood under the flower arch, Amy’s eyes looked straight at the end of the aisle looking for the person that would soon receive her hand.

And there she saw him standing majestically looking handsome in his white tux and back to his alluring face after his successful plastic surgery. She saw him looking straight into her eyes as if no one else was there with them. He only sees her and lovingly smiles at her.

Amy smiled back and winked making both of them chuckle. Soon their smiles were joined by tears, but this time they were no longer tears of pain and longing, but tears of happiness instead.

When she reached the end of the aisle, Jayson handed her hand to Henry and said, "Dad, thank you for coming back to us. Now go and get married so you can officially adopt us like you promised."

"And thank you for waiting son. Thank you for being the man of the house while I was gone," Henry then embraced Jayson, making him cry with happy tears.

"Gosh, stop it you two. We have a wedding to finish, let’s go," Amy joked, Henry pulled away from Jayson and placed Amy’s hand around his arm before leading her to the altar.
