CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 190: Exactly The Plan
Anton and Mary were grateful and relieved that finally, they can get a little rest since Amy and Henry has been found. Mary had a little bit of sleep earlier when Ava reported that the two has been found. But Anton hasn’t slept a wink since yesterday.
His penthouse is just a few blocks away from Welsh Holdings’ building so he insisted on driving when Mary offered to.
Anton leaned back on the elevator wall as soon as they got in. He craned his neck and moved his head from side to side producing cracking sounds. Mary looked at him while he rest his head on the wall with closed eyes.
"Do you want something to eat or drink? I can make some for you if you have some ingredients in your kitchen," Mary offered after seeing how tired Anton looked.
"Nah, it’s ok. I had a sandwich earlier. How about you, are you hungry? We can order if you want so you don’t have to do anything. There are a lot of twenty-four hours stores nearby," Anton stepped out of the elevator only to get confounded by the sight that welcomed him into his own house.
"Thank God you are here!" A blonde, blue-eyed woman came rushing to Anton and gave him a tight hug.
Mary’s right eyebrow instinctively raised up, reflecting the emotion that she was having at that moment.
"You didn’t tell me you have a sister, Anton," Mary said, and her words break the tight embrace of the woman from Anton. "Hi, Anton’s sister. I’m Mary," even though Mary introduced herself she didn’t bother offering her hand and just stare at that woman from head to toe with a smile.
She knows that she’s not Anton’s sister since she already met his family but the resemblance would make people think that they are really siblings. Not only that, the way this woman hug Anton gave her a bad feeling about it.
"Oh yeah, Mary this is Roana, my childhood friend. Roana this is Mary, my girlfriend," Roana frowned but quickly change her expression and she smiled at Mary as she offered her hand to Mary.
"Nice to meet you, Mary," Mary just looked at Roana’s hand and just waved at her. Roana smiled awkwardly and withdraw her hand back.
"I didn’t know you have a girlfriend, Anton. You didn’t mention it yesterday when we talked," Roana uttered.
Mary wrapped her arms around Anton’s arm and looked up at him, "I think I should take your suggestion, do you have the number of those restaurants?"
"Yes, I-" Anton was immediately interrupted by Roana.
"No need, your mom and my mom cooked for all of us, we arrived just two hours ago and according to your secretary you were still in a meeting with Henry’s uncle but will be going home soon so they decided to cook for you," Roana explained.
"What?! My mom is here?" Anton exclaimed in surprise.
Roana just nodded in confusion for Anton seemed like he doesn’t want them to be there when they always stay at his penthouse without his permission and he never ever did mind at all.
Anton immediately left the two ladies and went to the kitchen where he guessed where his mom is.
"My son! Good thing you’re already here. Come sit, before the food gets cold," His mom said.
"Ma, what are you doing? And what’s all this food? It’s midnight and you are cooking!"
"We just arrived a while ago and your secretary said you were not eating well since yesterday so here you go, eat this."
Anton placed his left hand on his waist while his right rubbed his forehead, this is not the night he expected. Mary who followed Anton to the kitchen slowly walked to Anton’s side.
"Oh my goodness, Mary! Good you are here, I am sure you did not eat properly too. You must be very worried about your best friend. Come sit, and join us," Anton’s mom quickly pulled Mary to sit beside Anton’s usual seat.
"Best friend?" Roana asked as she sit beside Anton, opposite Mary.
Mary pursed her lips and inhaled deeply while pretending to fix the utensils in place.
"Yes dear, Henry’s wife Amy, is Mary’s best friend," Anton’s mom explained and soon sat beside Mary.
"Ahoy!" Everyone looked at the source of the voice.
"You are here too dad?" Anton sighed, his night which was supposed to be only with Mary, became a family gathering.
"And us too!" Roana’s mom and dad soon appeared behind Anton’s dad.
"Damn!" Anton mumbled but Mary and Roana heard it.
"Auntie, you’re supposed to come here tomorrow night right?" Anton asked.
"Well, your mom and I planned to visit Henry and his wife tomorrow morning and these three just tagged along."
"Are you all going to stay here tonight?" Anton asked his mom while trying to control himself showing how annoyed he is.
"Yes dear, and where do you want us to sleep? It’s midnight!"
"Mary will sleep here since it’s late to drive her all the way to Henry’s house. You realize I only have three spare rooms, right?"
"I know, so what’s wrong with that? We get one room each. Mary can sleep with you in your room. You don’t mind right, Mary dear?"
Mary’s eyes widened. She was about to put the meat that she just sliced into her mouth but put it back on the plate when she heard the old lady’s question. She was stunned at his mom’s suggestion. She might be bold and cheeky at times but she had never spent a night alone in a man’s room before.
"Mom!"
"What? You’re adults, so what’s wrong with that? Don’t tell me you invited her to sleep in your house and send her to one of your guestrooms?"
"Yes! That was exactly the plan. We are not married yet!"
"Oh! When did my son care about marriage when sleeping with a woman," Anton’s mom jested and everyone laughed.
Anton is not Henry when it comes to the number of women he had in the past but everyone knows that he comes second to Henry. Unknowingly to everyone Anton and Mary were blushing very hard and if they can hide right that moment they would.
