CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 137: Wedding Dress
Right after their spa, Amy and Mary went to their assigned room feeling fresh and young.
"This could be the last time that I will be able to sleep with you in the same room, babe," Mary murmured while they are walking.
"There will be a lot of nights in the future that Henry will be on a business trip, then you can sleep in the mansion. Perhaps we can have a slumber party whenever he’s out of town," the two giggled at their silly plan.
Mary stopped in front of the door of their room then she faced Amy, "Babe, Henry tasked me to get a wedding gown for you since I know what you like. And that wedding gown is inside our room. When you see it and you don’t like it, please don’t get mad. There are still two other spares in the closest so you can still choose what you like best."
"Why would I get mad? I am sure I will love it whatever it looks like, you know me best," Mary then opened the door for Amy and she immediately went in. She cannot wait to see her wedding dress.
Amy stiffened when her eyes landed at the very end of the room. There on the corner, stands the white wedding dress, on a black torso mannequin.
It is a strapless lace corset and galaxy tulle wedding dress. The front of the corset accentuates the chest of the bride-to-be, giving it a perfect shape. The back is connected by thin strings making it almost backless. It has a long A-Line skirt that flows smoothly like the wind when the wearer walks.
Mary is sure that even if it is a very simple old-style wedding dress, Amy would love it.
After a few seconds of staring at the dress, Amy cried. However, it was not because she didn’t like it, it was tears of joy.
"Where did you get this? I thought it got lost after I sold the mansion. Oh, God, thank you for keeping it. This is perfect, my wedding is just too perfect," Amy ran to Mary and hugged her tight, making Mary shed some tears too.
"Well, my mom kept it for you. She heard us talking when we were young that you wanted to wear the wedding dress of your mom. So when you sold the house and everything in it, she sneaked this out. You didn’t tell us that you were looking for it so she didn’t mention it to you.
I made some modifications to make it more modern and to your taste, I hope you don’t mind. We still have time if you want to do some alterations," Mary said as she wipe her tears.
"No need, this is perfect already. You really know me inside out, best. You really are my best friend. Thank you, thank you so so much. I love it, I really do," she once again gave Mary a big tight hug.
Now that she saw her wedding dress, she feels more guilty for doubting Henry this morning. He had planned everything so well and even exceeded her expectations. She feels so lucky that Henry chooses to marry her and not anyone else.
"As for your bridal flower, Henry chose it so you’ll see it tomorrow. I am so excited about your wedding babe, I wanted to drink and celebrate later but your groom banned all liquor tonight," Mary sighed remembering what she had planned for Amy’s supposed to be bridal shower but Henry found out and ruin it.
"It is still early Mary, can we go and see the reception and where the ceremony will be held?"
"No, you can’t. Nora is very strict, she’s adamant about keeping the bride and groom separate until the wedding day and the groom’s room is near that area, so I was tasked to keep you away from there."
"I will be bored if I stay here until evening. I am excited for tomorrow so I need to burn my energy or else I won’t be able to sleep tonight."
"Don’t worry about that. Later we will have a little bridal shower for you. Henry ruined mine, so I asked Anton’s mom if she can help me set up one for you."
"Wow, you are getting close to your future in-laws," Amy chuckled when she saw Mary blush at what she said.
"Babe, I hope you are right. Anton is quite stiff, but I am not giving up."
While the girls are resting, Henry is busy checking every detail of the venue.
"If I were you, I would let the wedding planner do her job unless you wanted to replace her and become a wedding planner yourself," Anton commented. He is getting tired of following Henry around as the latter double-check everything.
He keeps on noticing every little detail that no one will ever see. He is becoming a helicopter boss to everyone.
"Everything has to be perfect. I did not ask Amy what she want for this wedding and the least that I can do is to make sure that she will like everything I had chosen for her," Henry said as he check the decorations in the venue.
"She will love it, in fact, she loves everything already. She told Mary that it was perfect," Anton replied.
"How did you know that?"
"Mary texted me, you are worrying for nothing," Henry raised his brow after hearing that Anton and Mary are texting.
"So you are text mates now huh?"
Anton rubs his nape which made Henry laugh. This gesture of his means that he is embarrassed about something and is thinking of what to say next to divert the conversation to something else.
"Anton, it’s ok. If you like Mary that much, don’t you think it is time for you to woo her? Actually, I take that back. I think she likes you already and she’s just waiting for you to tell her you to like her too," Henry said.
"Do you really think so? I’m afraid she will reject me. She’s a strong woman you know, and she’s the first of her kind that I will try to pursue."
"I’d say go for it, you’ll be surprised," Henry then turned around to check the food preparation next.
But he was stopped by Anton from walking further, "How about this. I tell Mary what I feel, and you stop giving these people a headache. Stop hovering over them and let’s go back to our room."
Henry scoffed at how exaggerated Anton is. He doesn’t think that he is being too picky and demanding at all, he just wants everything to be perfect for Amy tomorrow.
"Alright you win, let’s head back."
