CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 121: In Deep Thought

"Great. So do you have a girlfriend?" Mary casually asked making Anton inhale his coffee and making him cough hard. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

He accidentally spits out some of the coffee on his shirt and pants. Mary panicked since he was wearing a gray suit and a white shirt, making the coffee stains very visible.

Mary tried to wipe off the coffee fast to lessen the stains that will remain on his clothes until she taught of something naughty that she had never done before.

Mary moved her hand from his shirt to his thighs pretending to be wiping the stains. And she purposely moved it very close to his ding dong making Anton jerk backward. He almost fell but he was able to hold on to Mary’s legs.

Upon realizing that he was actually hugging her legs, he immediately let her go.

"I-I’m sorry, it was an accident," Anton said while feeling the redness of his face. His head feels so hot that he is sure he is as red as an apple.

"Be careful next time, we can put some bleach on your shirt in the kitchen so it will not stain permanently if you want," Mary said.

"That’s ok, I have extra clothes in the office for times like this."

"So going back to my question. Do you have a girlfriend?" Mary smirked.

"I-I don’t, and how about you, do you have a boyfriend?" Anton asked back.

"That’s too personal to ask for a colleague don’t you think?" Mary jested but Anton did not get it.

"What? You asked me first."

"I only asked so that I can act accordingly," Mary then finished her drink.

"What do you mean to act accordingly?"

"Well, you know... as you said, we will be working a lot together from now on. Who knows I might fall in love with you. But if you have a girlfriend, I will definitely keep my distance. But since you don’t have one, then I don’t have to be careful."

Anton’s jaw dropped at what Mary said.

He had met a lot of women and bedded some of them but he had never met a woman as direct and bold as Mary. It was always him who try to make the first move.

But with Mary’s words, it seems like she is already making a move on him.

Mary laugh when she saw Anton’s reaction and said, "You are funny. You should have seen how you looked right now. I’m just joking. Don’t be so tense."

Anton let out a sigh of relief but then again, he doesn’t want it to be a joke. He likes Mary and he definitely wanted her to like him.

"What if I tell you that I don’t want you to be careful around me?" he asked Mary catching her off guard.

"W-What do you mean?" Mary stammered, not expecting him to make a comeback right away.

"I need a date for Henry’s party, and I want you to be my date," Anton uttered as he looks straight into Mary’s eyes.

Mary smirked, "Good, I need a date too, let’s go together."

Back in Welsh Holdings building, Henry and Amy went to Amy’s future office which is located on the 8th floor.

There are two offices on that floor, one is Amy’s and the other one is currently occupied by another tenant.

Amy’s eyes widened when they entered the place. Right now it is under demo and there are debris everywhere but Amy can see how big it is and how many desks it can fit even though the place is still under construction.

"This is too much Henry. We will only hire a few people. This is enormous it is too much for us," Amy exclaimed.

"I know. But I believe that someday your business will grow and this space will not be enough," Henry said confidently.

"You believed in me so much. Thank you, I can feel the pressure now," and Amy rolled her eyes.

Henry chuckled and held her hand to tour her around.

"Since your team is not that big yet, I told Theo to make two reception areas so later on, we can convert the other into an office. I also told him to make a storage room, so you can use it if needed.

You’ll have a meeting room and a training room as well. And of course, let’s not forget your office and private room."

"Have you thought of the design for this?" Henry asked.

"Yes, earlier I was thinking about it and I had decided to make it similar to Bellory so all the branches look the same."

"Urban industrial it is then. I will tell my secretary to set up your meeting with Theo as soon as possible."

"When do you think he can finish this?" Amy asked.

"I would say two to three weeks. Theo is very efficient, that’s why I give all the projects to him. He is someone that I can always count on."

The two then went to the CEO’s floor to start their work.

Amy has not taken her seat yet when Ava went into her office with a worried look.

"Amy, Henry’s uncle, Mr. Trevor Welsh, decline the invitation. He said if he will go to the party, he wanted to be invited personally by you. He wants you to go and see him. What should I tell him?"

"Go and set it up. I met him before and I think he is a nice person. Just make sure that Henry will not be suspicious. You will go with me, Mitch can stay here."

And with that, Ava went out to do her task leaving Amy in deep thought.

Now she remembered that Uncle Trev mention something about Henry running out of time, which is also the same words that she heard from Rei.

She wondered what secret is Henry hiding from her. She already forgot about it but now that his Uncle wanted to meet up with her, she would take that as an opportunity.

She noted to herself to ask Henry’s uncle about it when they see each other.
