CEO's Contract Obsession-Chapter 117: No Comment
The group enjoyed their dinner and the booze was gone before midnight. The men had consumed everything like there is no tomorrow. And as expected they were all down.
The girls had to put them to bed by themselves for they are so wasted to even walk on their own.
"Seems like they really love your idea of spending the weekend here. Just look at them, if we shout fire or help they won’t be able to hear it for sure," Mary complained as they look at Anton and Rei after almost dragging them to bed.
"Just why are they so heavy, we could just have left them outside," Sandra earlier suggested to just leave them be so they can reflect on their mistake when they wake up.
"I think making them think that they owe us while reflecting on their mistake is much better than leaving them outside. We can ask for a favor later," the three women chortled at Amy’s idea.
After putting the three to bed and cleaning up the dining area, they decided to hang out on the sand by the sea.
"They didn’t even leave us some wine, they drank everything so now we can only drink soda, how sad," Mary uttered another complaint as she place the blanket on the sand.
"Cuz, what are you planning to do with that god-forsaken of yours?" The issue of the barren land never left Sandra’s mind and waited for the opportunity to ask Amy.
"What do you suggest? Do you think we can pay it off if we will proceed with the modern farming suggestion? I mean, there’s no doubt it will be a success since we have no problem with customers and clients but we are up against time.
Building the infrastructures needed will take time, plus we have to grow the products. It will for sure have some setbacks in between. Of course, we can solve it but the interest will grow over the months as well." Amy stated and she slumped on the blanket in frustration.
"Can’t Henry help you with it? He’s a billionaire and the owner of the number one investment company in the country, so maybe he is just waiting for you to ask him," Sandra said.
"He wanted to help but, as of the moment, he only holds 30% share in the company. I don’t know the details of it but, that is what stopped him from helping us further. He and Anton are very interested in that land so if only he can, I am sure he will definitely invest in us," Mary blurted out before Amy can even speak.
The two ladies were surprised by what Mary said. Even Amy doesn’t know as much as she does.
"Wait a minute, how come you know more than me? You and Anton are really getting close huh?" Amy has a teasing smile on her face as she eagerly waits for her best friend’s confirmation of her suspicion.
"One thing is for sure... I like him," Mary confidently said but gave out a deep sigh at the end.
"I can hear a but coming," Amy knows how straightforward Mary is and if she likes someone, she will definitely say it to the person. And that is vice versa. If she doesn’t like a person then she will say it as well.
Amy can only imagine once Mary and Ash finally face each other. Mary will definitely slap the latter.
"But... He is so uptight. I think he likes women who are prim and proper. And I am not like that. I am already giving him hints that I like him but he is not doing anything. So maybe he doesn’t like me?"
"And I can also hear another but," This time it was Sandra who said it.
Mary and Amy chuckled. Ever since Mary met Amy’s cousins, she became close with them too. It was after the accident that they met each other.
Amy was looking for help and so are the sisters. They were looking for a place to stay after running away from their parents and it just so happens that Amy was looking for someone who will stay on the farm.
The sisters volunteered and also offered to work on the farm in exchange for free accommodation and a minimal salary. The sisters were good at managing the farm and they built their own tiny houses from the minimum salary that they are getting.
When the farm flourished, Amy increased their salary and they were able to live the lifestyle that they want for themselves. They are from Amy’s mother’s side and unlike Amy who had loving parents. Sandra and Maya’s story is different.
"Yes! But... I like Anton too much that I am not going to give up just yet. Not until at least I get a taste of his body," the three laughed hard. Mary is always the clown of the group. She just never fails to make their day happy and colorful.
"You always say that to every man that catches your eyes, but you always leave them before you even get the chance to sleep with them. I’d say you are too picky Best," Amy said.
"Hey, don’t rub it in my face, just because you’re no longer a v!rgin. I’ll have my time too, and when that time comes, I’ll throw a dev!rginization party," once again the three burst into laughter.
"Now let’s stop talking about me, let’s talk about our dear Sandra hear. Did Rei make his move already? I heard that he drive you home the other day," Mary asked.
And instantly Sandra’s face turned red, "Y-Yes, he did and then he went home."
Amy and Mary blinked multiple times while staring at Sandra before they were able to digest what she just said.
"That’s it?" Mary asked in astonishment. She never imagined that Rei is a shy boy deep within. The first time she saw Rei, she thinks that he could be a womanizer just because of how good-looking he is.
She knows that’s not fair for Rei but she also knows that a good-looking man like that is surely a magnet to a lot of women.
"Yes, that’s it. It was actually awkward. He was quiet, I was the one who keeps on talking just to kill the silence between us," Sandra said.
"Babe, I think it’s time to ask Henry to teach Rei some of his moves, what do you say?" Mary waggled her eyebrows playfully to Amy.
Amy was the one who blushed this time when she heard Mary say ’moves’. She remembered their first meeting and their first kiss, "No comment!" she said.
