CEO Vengeful Wife-Chapter 225: Offering congragulations

It was mandatory to offer her congratulations to the couple at such parties. Otherwise, Jing Lihua would not bother to chat with that couple. Wearing a small, professional smile, that never reached her eyes, she approached Jing Tian and Gu Ting.

Jing Tian appeared to be waiting for this opportunity for a long time. The moment Jing Lihua neared the couple, she stuck up close to Gu Ting as if she was attempting to dangle that 'I managed to seize such a fat fish while you lost yours. What if your fish was fatter? In the end, I am the one who still has her fish!'

That's how Jing Tian's face read, literally; no exaggeration.

Jing Lihua coughed slightly to get rid of the awkwardness she felt from Jing Tian's expressions. Anyhow, she still approached the couple because she needed to warn her sister big little fish.

The moment Jing Tian stuck close to Gu Ting, his heart throbbed. He had been paying close attention when Tian'er sister closed in towards them. He was not planning to let her off the hook without any humiliation.

And the way Tian'er nestled into his chest as if asking for comfort as her sister approached them revealed how much that evil woman had traumatized Tian'er. Gu Ting was more than determined to not be polite to Jing Lihua.

For that purpose, he had even prepared the best words and opened his mouth but Jing Lihua was one step ahead.

"My congratulations to the couple." She said with a smile that never reached her eyes. Her hands lazily stroked fussy fur. "Truly, you both deserve each other." That was the compliment best suited for them.

"Jiejie, I heard what happened with you and brother-i-, I mean Mr. Su now. I am truly sorry for you." Since it was their first meeting after that Jing Lihua divorce, Jing Tian could not wait to rub it in her face.

However, her words could not elicit as much as a frown from Jing Lihua. Her expressions were fairly neutral as she replied. "Everything happens for the best. We were not fated to be."

"But Jiejie, you must be very heartbroken, no?" Jing Tian was not satisfied with Jing Lihua's indifferent response thus, she pressed.

"Not a quarter of what you would have expected. Please save your concern."

"Jiejie I was just worried about you. Why had you to be so rude."

"Tian'er" Gu Ting quickly came to her defense. "How many times I have told you not to waste your sympathies on those who don't cherish it?"

"Exactly my thoughts." Jing Lihua quickly said. "But a bit alternations needed. Sister must not waste her sympathies on t

hose who don't need it in the first place."

"You!" Gu Ting shot daggers at Jing Lihua. Then, he laughed coldly. "May I ask how came your dressing is the same style as Tian'er. I had specifically had this dress custom made from a reputable brand. Could it be...you had used some means to contact that brand so that you could copy Tian'er?" Gu Ting eyes were rich with mockery.

If she had really done such an act and gone to such low levels to debase Jing Tian, then that was truly shameful! Even the accusations of doing something so degrading would be shameful.

Jing Lihua chuckled at his words. The response she gave to this accusation had Gu Ting speechless.

"When you say it so, it sounds so negative." Then with a faint, smile, she revealed the truth. "Yes, I indeed had contacted the brand. Today is my little sister's engagement party. Such a grand day. I wanted to show others how harmonious relationships we share by dressing in the same style. Thus I specifically dressed the same way as she did."

It was not only Gu Ting whose eyes widened but also Jing Tian. 

She actually...contacted that brand?

And more shockingly, she admitted this?!

This proved one thing to Gu Ting. That his earlier speculation was right. She had purposely dressed in this manner to shadow his Tian'er at her own engagement party. And the malevolence! She was not even a bit embarrassed about the fact! What kind of hateful woman was she?

Gu Ting was ready to throw his etiquettes out of the window and bark out all sorts of insulting words in Jing Lihua directions but, at the instant, she said something that froze Gu Ting's tongue.

"Oh, and between if you are wondering how I managed to get my sister dressing details then I owe it all to Mr. Anderson." Jing Lihuu's eyes shimmered with intensity. The side of her lips tilted up as she acutely observed Gu Ting eyes widening in shock.

As if, in a state of denial, wanting him to be some other Anderson, he asked. "Mr. Anderson? A-Are you talking about...Liam Anderson?" Gu Ting's tone contained a hint of anxiety as he hurriedly questioned. The imposing edge of his tone disappeared as if it never existed in the first place.

At this change, Jing Tian was stunned.

"Brother Gu, what happened?" She couldn't help but ask. She was actually waiting to see Gu Ting humiliate Jing Lihua. However, the woman whose slightest call won't go unanswered by Gu Ting was totally ignored as he, once again, in a ghastly tone asked. "Were you talking about...Liam Anderson?"

king pity on the man's state, Jing Lihua smiled. "Liam Anderson the owner of the brand you had ordered for Jing Tian dress for today. Which else Anderson I must be talking about? Mr. Gu might not know this but we share a very deep friendship that extends to our university days. That is why he was willing to break the rules and share your personal data with me. Oh and also," Jing Lihua smile became even more pronounced as she touched Gu Ting's greatest fear. "We had a nice discussion on your activities in Las Vagas. I was intrigued. After hearing what Liam had to say, I arrived at the conclusion that my sister and Mr. Gu, truly deserve each other."

By the end of Jing Lihua's words, Gu Ting's face was paler than snow.
