212 Cat Dad Meets Angel

Chapter 212 – Cat Dad Meets Angel

The crimson clouds slowly dispersed after a thousand lightning bolts struck Jiang Wei. The lightning victim was on his knees, struggling to stand on his feet. His last HP bar was blinking, having less than a million HP in his stock.

Tribulation Lightning was a bane and a blessing to all cultivators. It harmed their dantians, ruined their meridians, and depleted their life forces. However, once they transcended the ordeal, they would be blessed by Heaven and gained a new power.

Unfortunately for Jiang Wei, there was no Heaven’s blessing. This tribulation lightning wasn’t formed because of his Dao or Heaven.

It was man-made for the sole purpose of destruction!

“REGRESSOR!!”

In anger and frustration, Jiang Wei bellowed and used the last bit of strength to fly. He charged toward Xiaomao.

Xiaomao was also in a bad mood. He wished that the lightning clouds could stay for a bit longer as he hadn’t eaten enough.

Hearing Jiang Wei’s anguished voice, Xiaomao was reminded that he was in a guild war. But when he caught a whiff of Jiang Wei’s cooked flesh scent, he had a sickening idea.

What would happen if he eat Jiang Wei?

What kind of stats would he gain?

The logic and morals of Xiaomao were thrown out of the window. Xiaomao’s fur was ignited in white flame once more.

“Come, my EXP, munya!”

Xiaomao burst into laughter as he prepared to use other regular spells to cook Jiang Wei.

Suddenly, something fast passed by. It went through Jiang Wei’s body and left a thousand afterimages of sword slashes.

Jiang Wei was frozen on the spot. He stared at Xiaomao in disbelief.

So did Xiaomao – He stared at his prey in shock.

999,999,999 DAMAGE! OVERKILL!

999,999,999 DAMAGE! OVERKILL!

999,999,999 DAMAGE! OVERKILL!

The same number appeared a thousand times!

The mysterious angel with grey wings reappeared after the afterimages had vanished. He floated in mid-air and gently swiped blood on his katana. He then tossed away the dirty cloth and unsheathed his sword.

Jiang Wei’s head, torso, and limbs were slowly separated from his body. A thousand pieces of meat and equipment fell to the ground and dissipated into dust.

The angel turned around and winked at Xiaomao. However, the catopus was not impressed.

Enraged by the lost opportunity, Xiaomao yelled at the mysterious angel.

“NOOOOO!! MY PRECIOUS EXP! MY LEGENDARY DROPS! MY MONEY, MUNYA!! GIVE ME BACK MY EXP!! HOW COULD YOU STEAL MY KILL, MUNYA?! BAD NPC!”

The angel’s expression was blank. He widened his eyes for a moment before he slightly shook his head.

“Damn brat…”

The angel muttered to himself. Although he sounded disappointed, he looked happy when he looked at the catopus.

Before Xiaomao could continue voicing his complaints, the angel turned around and faced the castle of Liu Bei. He looked at the newly summoned fighter.

Wei Yan, Level 999

The angel sneered. He flapped his wings and charged toward the castle.

The two obelisks that had been protecting the castle lit up. It fired beams toward the angel!

Instantly, the angel vanished and reappeared in front of Wei Yan, dodging the attack and challenging the strongest fighter of Liu Bei at the same time.

Wei Yan was a burly fighter with a Hahoe mask. Countless scars were visible on his arms and face. He also wore a similar set of green armor to Jiang Wei.

“Worthy opponent… KILL!” Wei Yan brought out two great halberds from his inventory and activated his ultimate skill.

The sky turned brown, and everybody found themselves on a desolate plain with the corpses of medieval soldiers. Broken weapons were still in their hands while their rusty armor remained on their bodies.

Xiaomao, Shepherd, and Andrew also found themselves trapped in this illusion realm. They looked around, and they couldn’t find their castle to retreat to anymore. Even Liu Bei was sent here as well.

Wei Yan and the angel ignored the bystanders. They brandished their weapons and exchanged blows.

A strange phenomenon occurred. The two men were so fast that nobody could follow their movements with naked eyes. Even Xiaomao, who had a third eye, could barely see their techniques.

‘What the hell?’

Xiaomao noticed that both men simply dodged and waved their weapons randomly. However, whenever their weapons moved, the same attacks manifested in front of their opponent, forcing the other party to dodge or parry the dimensional strikes.

A second later, both men attacked, parried, and dodged a hundred times!

Xiaomao believed that he didn’t see the majority of the moves, but he realized that their strength was beyond his realm of understanding.

At the minimum, these guys were on immortal levels!

Afraid of the collateral damage, Xiaomao swooped down and grabbed Andrew. He pulled the dwarf away from the battle.

CLANK!

A minute later, the battle was resolved. Wei Yan’s HP dropped to zero, and he fell to his knees.

The halberdier took off his mask and looked at the angel in admiration. He wholeheartedly smiled.

“I. Warrior’s death. Thanks.”

The angel solemnly looked at Wei Yan. He quietly muttered.

“See you next life, proud warrior.”

Wei Yan closed his eyes, and his body dissipated into purple dust. However, the dust soon transformed into purple butterflies and gathered around the angel.

Everybody on the battlefield stared at the angel in astonishment, except Shepherd. The supporting NPC’s face was pale for a moment before it turned purple.

He knew what those purple butterflies were, and he was afraid of them!f𝙧𝒆𝚎𝑤e𝚋𝓷o𝘷𝗲l.c𝐨m

Andrew, on the other hand, watched their exchanges in solemn. He loudly smacked his chest three times as if he showed respect for the true warrior’s battle and death.

Liu Bei dropped his jaws in disbelief. He frantically looked at his guild menu, planning to summon another fighter to kill the angel and Xiaomao. However, his guild’s SP was only 750, which was not enough to summon another level-900 fighter.

Meanwhile, Xiaomao narrowed his eyes as he could faintly see the name of the angel. The question marks randomly glitched and briefly showed his true name.

M… A… O… M…I…A…O…M…I…A…O…

“HisnameismaomiaomiaoIsee.”

Xiaomao uttered by reflex, but he didn’t realize what he had just spoken. A second later, his brain comprehended what he had said and what the identity of that angel was.

Wait a minute…

“His name is Mao Miaomiao, I see?”

Xiaomao blankly repeated his word. He had heard this name multiple times, but his brain.exe suddenly stopped working. His cognitive ability and logical thinking shut down. His imagination and creativity were not responding. However, his emotional gate was broken, and countless thoughts flooded his mind. Complex emotions gushed out.

Xiaomao looked at the angel as if he longed to meet this person for centuries. At the same time, he wanted to punch this angel in the face.

“MAO MIAOMIAO!!”

Suddenly, Pan Mei’s voice echoed in the battlefield, and the illusion realm shattered, reverting to the castle battlefield.

The grey-winged angel, aka Mao Miaomiao, looked at the sky and flipped his middle finger at the invisible camera. His haughty voice taunted the son of Pangu.

“Come and get me, spoiled brat!”

Pan Mei didn’t reply. The invisible camera vanished.

Seeing that the camera was gone, the angel turned toward Liu Bei on the top of the castle wall.

Liu Bei’s eyes met with Mao Miaomiao’s eyes. The former fell on his butt and yelled.

“This is not fair! There shouldn’t be any NPC like you around here! This war game is rigged!”

The angel rolled his eyes. He waved the black katana in his hand.

SWUA!

999,999,999 DAMAGE! OVERKILL!

Liu Bei’s head fell off his neck, and his body turned into dust.

The angel turned around and looked at the catopus on a flying sword one more time. He warmly smiled at Xiaomao.

“Be careful out there. See you later, son.”

Xiaomao opened his mouth, wanting to say something. Tears rolled from his eyes, and his tentacles were trembling.

It was too late for Xiaomao to utter a word. Beacons of light descended upon Xiaomao, Shepherd, and Andrew. They pulled everybody to the rift in the sky. Even the people in the prison were dragged along as well.

WHOOSH

Just like that, Xiaomao was forcefully pulled into a teleportation gate. A new rift portal was opened in MUNYA Guild’s lobby and threw the guild members into the room.

PLOP

Xiaomao and the others rolled into the guild’s lobby room. Everybody was confused at first, but it didn’t take long for them to realize that the first match was over.

DING

“NOO! SEND ME BACK!”

Xiaomao screamed. His trembling voice cracked as he kept shouting. However, the portal to the battlefield was closed.

“DAD, DON’T LEAVE ME AGAIN!!”

Xiaomao sobbed, unable to understand why his emotion drove him to say those words. He was also confused about why he was so sad and angry.

Lucky rushed to Xiaomao and hugged him. She kissed his head, trying to calm him down. However, because Xiaomao kept wailing and being emotional, Lucky ended up crying, too.

The mermen and Shepherd’s crew respectfully watched them in silence, waiting for their master to come back to his senses.

30 minutes later, Xiaomao recovered. He blew his nose and wiped his bloodshot eyes.

“Sorry, munya. I kinda snapped.”

Andrew and Peter snorted. They pointed at Xiaomao, then they pointed at their chests. As usual, they smacked their chest with their right fist.

Feeling better, Xiaomao laughed.

“Alright. I’m back, munya! Let’s do our best in tomorrow’s match!”

“BOB!”

“BOB-BOB!”

The mermen were relieved. They raised their arms to cheer. The merman, who had a stomach issue earlier, also mixed in the crowd and secretly swiped his wet butt against his colleagues’ bodies.

Xiaomao noticed it and laughed. The few unfortunate mermen realized it later and got mad at their silly friend. A little brawl occurred, but nobody got hurt.

While the team was celebrating, Shepherd walked toward Xiaomao. He brought out an orb that he had gotten from Mao Miaomiao.

RUMBLE

As soon as it came out from Shepherd’s inventory, the air in the room changed. The humidity rose, but the temperature dropped. In a blink of an eye, the entire room was freezing cold yet moist.

Xiaomao turned his attention to the orb in Shepherd’s hands, but the latter quickly dropped it to the ground as he couldn’t withstand its power.

CRACK

As soon as the orb fell on the floor, the marble tiles cracked.

Xiaomao got to the ground and inspected the orb up close.
