CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 303: Skill Difference
’A Warlock advanced by creating Locks and Keys. Each lock is the gateway to break the rules of the universe and each key is a minor chain that completes that exception.
But what does a Psychic have?’
With Octagram Chaos Eyes, Mater could penetrate into Alphonso’s Psycho Force just with his vision. He didn’t do anything to him however. He only observed.
The Psycho Force held all kinds of negative emotions inside it. As Alphonso advanced, his Chaos Singularities converted all the Negative Emotional Spectrum into one singular emotion.
That emotion was Fury.
’Singular emotion is Psychic’s advancement method?’ The black cat frowned.
Each wraith of this world had an emotion to represent it. Rage as Fury. Desperation as Despair. Sadness as Misery. Jealousy as Envy. Lust as Desire. Fear as Horror.
Their emotional type also decided how it would mainly attack. Fury Wraith would likely lean more on the offensive side while Misery was more defensive, and Despair was more controlling. Horror leaned more on mental attack. Envy weakened its opponent. And Desire leeched their power.
Psychic didn’t have this limitation and they could use all six of the NES.
Crow stood still and waited for Alphonso to finish his advancement.
Adrian turned to Tommy, "Your guy is pretty confident. Or he is incredibly stupid."
"We shall see." Tommy lit up another cigarette.
The NES inside Alphonso turned all to red. And suddenly, a marble was formed. A marble of full Fury.
"Hmmm? A gemstone?" The black cat meowed softly. "Not really. An Emotional Gemstone was made to be used. This gemstone is more like a floodgate."
"Fury is within me!" Alphonso patted his large biceps. His Chaos turned into pure anger.
Fury NES reinforced his physical conditions and made his Chaos much more dangerous.
A red outline enveloped Alphonso.
"Are you ready, Crow?" Alphonso stepped forward and crushed the ground beneath him.
"Come." Crow wagged his finger at him.
Alphonso smiled, "Because you let me advance, I will make sure to not kill you. But for the benefit of our family, I will have to break all the bones on your body."
"You talk too much, Alphonso."
Alphonso grinned wider. He dashed forward and turned into a blur. His speed was greatly enhanced.
"Too simple of a brute." Selina commented.
She said loud enough for the mafia to look at her.
"That young girl is very arrogant." Don Elio said.
Crow simply ducked down and dodged Alphonso’s punch.
"It’s not going to work this time, Crow!"
Alphonso lifted his knee and banged it at Crow.
The Abomination did not step back. He stepped forward and into close range. Because of the close distance, Alphonso couldn’t hit Crow’s body with the strength he wanted.
"Strength isn’t everything, Alphonso." Crow said.
He didn’t summon any weapons and assaulted Alphonso purely with his dark fists. He threw three punches.
First was an uppercut at the jaw of Alphonso, making him dizzy.
The second was a haymaker at Alphonso’s cheek, tilting his balance.
Then Crow climbed up onto Alphonso’s large body and delivered an elbow from above to his skull.
Crow was as fast as before. Theoretically speaking, Alphonso should be able to dodge everything as he was faster.
But Crow had better timing.
Alphonso tried to grab Crow’s but he turned into a strip of shadow and went behind Alphonso’s back.
"You lack proper training, Alphonso."
Crow said as he summoned a Nether Spear. He sliced onto Alphonso’s Achilles tendon then kicked at his back.
Alphonso stumbled forward and fell on his face.
After his advancement, Alphonso was larger and stronger. But he couldn’t control his power as well as before. And Crow had the life long skill of Aaron Cage to exploit that.
"Get up! God Damnit!" Adrian shouted.
Tommy sat and smoked his cigarette in silence.
Alphonso tried to get up. Crow’s clones jumped to his sides and pushed him down at the ground.
"Do you yield?"
The real Crow was in front of Alphonso. His sharp purple spear aimed at Alphonso’s eye.
The brute man froze. He could yank himself out of Crow’s clones. But he would not be faster than Crow’s spear.
Alphonso smiled.
"I can’t yield, Crow. I cannot dishonor my family."
Alphonso flung the clones away.
’Kill him, Crow.’ Mater gave the order.
’As you wish, Master.’
Before Alphonso could stand up, Crow plunged the spear right through Alphonso’s eye socket.
He didn’t die yet. The resilience of a Hazard Psychic was no joke. But Crow was merciless.
His clones summoned their own spears and plunged into Alphonso’s arms, pinning him onto the ground.
Crow let go of the spear and summoned a large broad sword.
"This is the end."
Adrian widened his eyes and stood up.
Alphonso’s head rolled on the ground.
The fight was a slaughter. Even when Alphonso advanced to Rank-2, he was no different than a child in front of Crow.
’Crow is an Abyssal Abomination. He has the power of hell. A mere Psychic is never going to beat him. Even if that Psychic is one Rank higher.’ The black cat stroked its whiskers.
Dust reappeared on the arena. He had expected this entire place to be in ruin. Every Trial always ended the same. But Crow was a master in precision. The fight didn’t extend too far away from the arena at all.
It didn’t take too long either. Half-an-hour didn’t even pass yet.
Dust squatted down and checked Alphonso. He was seriously dead. No way he could be more dead.
Dust sighed and stood up.
’These barbaric mafias. I hope Alice is fine.’
"Alphonso of the Selomo’s Family is dead. The Trial is ended.
The winner is Crow of the Luciente Family."
Tommy stood up and clapped. "Fabulous work, Crow."
Some of the members of the other families also stood up and gave Crow a standing ovation. They recognized power and strength.
Don Elio nodded and stood up.
"From today on, the Selomo cannot interfere with the Luciente’s business. The Luciente can do whatever they want inside their territory . Even if it is gambling."
Don Elio didn’t mention the branches that the other families had taken. That would just invite even more conflict.
The patriarch of the Bellini stood up.
"I also want to raise a dispute regarding the Luciente."
