Chapter 300: Chapter 300: The Consigliere

"What in the god name?!" Paul shouted.

The Selomo family fired. The dense pink barrier appeared around Aurora and stopped all the bullets.

"Kill her, Psychics!" Paul roared.

The Selomo’s family didn’t have many Psychics as members. Most Psychics in their organization were hired and followed them due to favor.

Two Psychics jumped out from behind Paul. They activated their Psycho Skills. Their bodies were enveloped with NES. They turned into a blur and approached Aurora.

Tommy and his men did nothing. They smoked cigarettes and watched everything with great interest.

"I can’t believe that they just made a new enemy for no reason." A Luciente capo said.

Tommy released a puff of smoke in the air, "The boss of the Selomo is old and unwise. They still believe in blood ties in a world where power decides everything. If they even have one Psychic in their circle, they would have known better."

Bash stepped forward in front of the pink barrier.

"Get out of the way, kid!" The Selomo Psychic said. "Or we will kill you too!"

The masked kid kept one hand in his pocket and didn’t even flinch.

"Suit yourself!" The Selomo Psychic jumped forward and drove a knife into Bash. His body was reinforced by Chaos Flesh and Enhancement Augmentation. The knife wasn’t ordinary either. It was a unique reinforced steel that worked extremely well with Enhancement Augmentation.

"Heh." Bash smirked.

The knife shattered like glass when it touched his red suit.

"How?" The Psychic widened his eyes.

"Ordinary punch." Bash mumbled. He punched the Psychic in the face. Hellfire exploded from the point of contact and sent the Psychic flying.

He went up into the sky and disappeared.

"Sheesh." Tommy hissed. "I wonder if he’s going to survive that."

The other Psychic stopped in his path. His eyes widened in surprise. "Hazard Psychic?!"

"Hmmm." Aurora squinted her eyes and crushed the sphere of snow. A blizzard swept over the alley and covered everyone.

With hew new ice manipulation power, Aurora froze most of the Selomo’s members in ice. She didn’t even use Glacial Coffin yet. It was just pure ordinary ice.

The Selomo family tried to get out of the ice but it was useless.

Paul’s eyes went red and he felt the pain of the cold ice. His body trembled as he struggled to break free.

A hand was placed on his shoulder.

"What did you do, Paul?"

A new member of the Selomo arrived. Tommy’s expression changed immediately when he saw the man.

The man was very tall. Paul’s head could only reach his chest even though Paul was already six feet.

The man had a full head of red hair. His hair exploded chaotically like a lion mane. The top of his chest was exposed due to the unbuttoned shirt and showed the dense body hair beneath.

The man was Adrian Gabiano. The consigliere of the Selomo family. Many considered him to be the true leader of the Selomo.

Adrian clenched his fist. His Chaos spread and melted the ice on the body of the Selomo members.

The black cat scanned the red-haired man. An Octagram appeared in each eye.

’A Hazard-level Psychic. This one is around Tommy’s level. Peak Hazard strength.’

"I need you to take care of those girls, Gabiano." Paul gritted his teeth.

Adrian looked over to Mater’s group. He noticed the power level of the ’girls’ Paul was referring to. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Paul didn’t know they were dangerous. But Adrian knew. And he was not going to throw the future of the Selomo away just because of Paul.

Adrian gestured to a Selomo member and asked about the situation. The member told everything exactly as it happened.

"I see. Where is the bastard that disrespect our friend?" Adrian said.

The Selomo members pushed the man in question to the front. His cheek still had the outlines of Crow’s fist.

Adrian grabbed the man and picked him up. He looked at his cheek then asked.

"Why did you disrespect women that you don’t know?"

The member shrunk in fear, "I’m sorry, Red. I didn’t know. I thought they were just chicks."

Adrian sighed. He dropped the member and looked over to Mater’s group.

From one single glance, he learned that the girls that Paul was referring to weren’t just anyone. They were cores of the group, important factors of whoever that organization was.

"You cannot disrespect the boss."

Adrian grabbed a gun from another member and shot the guy dead. He then turned toward Selina.

"The fool is dead. Can we forget everything that just happened?"

Selina smiled, "I am willing to. But does your decision represent the Selomo Family?"

"It doesn’t!" Paul shouted. "They dared to disrespect me, Gabiano! Are you going to just let that slide? So what if we commented about their breasts. They are just women!"

Adrian put a hand on Paul’s shoulder. His eyes turned into two spiraling patterns.

"You’re tired, Paul. Go to sleep."

Paul’s eyelids fluttered before shutting down completely. Adrian commanded a few to bring the head of the Selomo Family away.

Tommy finally entered the scene. "Adrian. You’re finally here. If you had arrived earlier, we could have avoided this mess."

Adrian shook his head, "Unfortunately. I have some business to attend to. Didn’t think Paul would cause such a ruckus over nothing."

"The man is old, Adrian. You should take over the family." Tommy said.

"It’s not that easy in the Selomo Family. There are a lot of loyalists around." Adrian said.

"Let me introduce you. This is a friend of mine, Miss Selina Isles.

Miss Isles, this is Adrian Gabiano. The current consigliere of the Selomo Family."

Selina smiled. Even her normal smiles contained a little bit of sinister in them.

"Shall we go inside? This conflict has been going on for a while now. It’s better if we settle on the matter quickly." Adrian said.

"You don’t seem to be in favor of the Trial?" Aurora said.

"I don’t. The Trial is ordered by Paul and the Selomo loyalists. They thought gambling was some kind of holy ground of this family."

"You don’t think so?" Selina said.

"No. I think that wealth comes from power. Not the other way around." Adrian said as his biceps strained against the fabric of his shirt.
