Chapter 282: Chapter 282: Crow’s Rage

Crow flew through the air. He transformed into a crow before landing and continued flying.

Mater flew with him. He got rid of the Mimicry Mask and the Watch Transformation once they were far enough.

The black cat and the crow flew alongside each other. They both turned invisible.

Crow used his innate Passive Ability while Mater used Minor Distortion.

They quickly found their way to the settlement. It was a place built from junk and rusted metal pieces. There were way too many people for this small of a town. Most of them looked incredibly dirty and dangerous.

"I don’t think this is a settlement at all. It looks like a concentration camp or something."

The Crow landed on a rooftop. The black cat landed beside it.

"Let me have a look." Mater’s eyes transformed into the Octagram Chaos Eyes. He scanned the entire settlement. "Hmm. Not much Psychics here. Only around 15 to 20 Psychics. They aren’t that high level either.

But why is there so much Chaos here?"

"Something is definitely wrong with this place."

"Yup. Let’s split out Crow. Report to me anything you find."

"Roger that, Master."

The crow and the black cat flew away. They checked every corner of this settlement. The place was reeked of piss and smoke.

Mater found that the mental state of most of the people was questionable. They walked around like zombies and would barely speak.

The black cat spotted a woman sniffing some kind of rock in her hand. It looked around and noticed that no one else was here.

Mater smacked that woman unconscious and picked up the small rock.

The octagrams in his eyes scanned the weird mineral. "Chaos infused material? But what does it do?"

The black cat threw the rock inside him. He immediately learned of its effect.

The rock was a compound mixed with Despair NES. It had a soothing effect and mentally degraded bio-components. If normal people or weak Psychic consumed this, they would become mindless zombies and be easy to control.

It tried to take over Mater but he quickly crushed its effect with his large Chaos Well. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

’A type of mind control? This reeks of hell’s influence.’

’Master! I found something!’

The black cat flew over to Crow’s location. In front of them was a large metal container. Those that they used in overseas shipments.

Crow looked at Mater for permission.

"Be my guess." Mater meowed.

Crow transformed back into Assassin. He punched through the lock and pulled the door open.

Crow froze for a moment.

The black cat smirked, "Squatter region. What’s a fucking joke!"

Crow gently closed the door. He straightened his back.

"Master."

"Yes, Crow?"

"Permission to kill them all?"

"Permissions granted."

The Nether Spear appeared in Crow’s hand.

Sonny was playing cards with his boys. He was lucky that day. He had won five straight rounds already.

"Four of a kind. Hahahaha!" Sonny took the money on the table. "I won!"

"Argh! Forget about it!" A player threw his card on the table.

Sonny laughed some more, he turned his head toward one of the guys. "Did you check the shipment, Andy?"

"Already, boss. Fresh contents. We’re ready to make the delivery tonight." Andy nodded.

"Good! Good! Believe me, boys. We just need to work hard. One day we will get out of this shit hole." Sonny grinned widely.

Crow kicked the door open. He threw the Nether Spear straight to Sonny’s chest. It pinned him on the wall as he screamed for his life.

Everyone stood up. Their heads snapped to the door. Crow was in his true form. The faceless head with white eyes. The fedora and long trench coat.

"Who the hell?!" A terrorist grabbed a gun

Crow raised his hand and called back the Nether Spear. It shot back at him and penetrated the terrorist on its way back.

Sonny was unpinned and fell to the ground. He didn’t die yet. But he was in extreme pain.

"Boss!" Everyone shouted.

"Kill that bastard, you fool!" Sonny screamed.

Mater was lying lazily on the rooftop. He found a pack of cigarettes somewhere and lit it up.

"I remember that stupid hunter really liked his pipe. What is so good about smoking anyway?"

The black cat took some. His entire fur stood up and he threw the cigarette and the entire pack away.

"Disgusting! Why did people even do this?"

Scream and gun shots roared in the background.

Mater looked down and saw a Psychic appeared. He jumped out of the house and punched an air bullet toward Crow.

"Emission Compact? This guy was in the Union’s military?"

Crow raised his paw and summoned the Fire Wand. He waved it lazily. A cloud of golden feathers appeared and shot down the settlement. They automatically found their targets.

Crow was more than capable of dealing with them. Mater only used the feathers to stop anyone from escaping. The bloody scene continued for quite a while.

The innocents were spared as Solarix grabbed them all to a safe location while Crow slaughtered the target.

Mater created a Mimicry Mask for Solarix so no one would recognize what was wrong with her.

Night fell and Crow returned to Mater. Blood soaked his trench coat.

"It is done, Master."

"Vent everything?" The black cat said.

"Not really. The culprit is still out there."

"Don’t worry, Crow. We’ll deal with them eventually."

Crow inherited Aaron Cage’s ability a lot, making him very heroic and angry toward evil. Mater couldn’t blame him to be honest. Any ordinary person would be made.

"Letting them die would be too easy of a punishment. Let’s use their souls as a vessel to bring back our brutish friend." The black cat smirked.

He floated to the air and raised his paw.

"Come, poor lost souls!"

All the souls within the settlement came rushing at Mater. All the souls that Crow had just slain.

"You think you can escape this dark lord, evil doers?! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The cat had to be delusional for a little bit. Then he returned to normal.

"We’ll be seeing you soon, Bash." The black cat’s deep voice echoed.

’Now that my servants are much more integrated into this society, maybe I should design a transformation ability for Bash? I can’t always keep him in the Dark Grimoire. That would be too unfair for little innocent Bash.’
