CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 207: Wand Test

The group left the AE Forges and went to have dinner.

The only person in the group that really needed to eat was Selina. The black cat and his servants didn’t really need to eat. He had the Key of Hunger while the servants survived purely by Chaos.

Still, Mater could still enjoy the richness of food.

They spent a little bit of time for the night to fall.

"I think it’s time." Selina said.

The black cat nodded, "It is. We should find somewhere to test out my new Demonic Item. However, there is something else I need to do." 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

"What is it?"

"You remember the tree wraith we encountered during the trip to Ines Sota?"

"I do. You imprisoned it inside the Dark Grimoire, right?"

"That’s right. The reason I did that is because it is very suitable to become a certain type of servant. This one is a little bit different from the rest of the servants.

I need a place with a good coverage of plants and trees to make use of this servant to the fullest."

"Plants and trees? Why don’t we just go to Central Park?"

"The Central Park?"

Selina pulled out her phone and opened the map. It was the biggest park inside Aeliz City with the most trees and grass. In this futuristic and urban city, it was the only place where you could actually see the color green.

Mater recognized that place immediately.

’Hey... Isn’t that where I first infused my Chaos Blood?’

When Mater first came here, he went to a park and started his Warlock journey from the beginning. It was the location that kickstarted the entire series of events.

"That is a good place. It’s vast and empty at night. We can test out my wand there and also officially welcome our newest member."

Mater climbed on Selina’s motorcycle and they drove to the Aeliz City Central Park.

In the morning and afternoon, the park was usually filled with joggers, dog-walkers, and many people hanging out there. But at night, it was rather deserted. The place did not have many light sources except the street lamps. This made it incredibly dark compared to the rest of the city.

Darkness creeped out the people in Aeliz City. Rumors about perverts lurking around in the park at night didn’t help it much either.

Selina drove inside the park and was immediately met with many questionable individuals.

There were the homeless, who were pretty tame and did not bother Selina. A few delinquent gangs that stuck together with their hats wearing way-off to the start and low-hanging pants.

As they saw Selina’s motorcycle, they immediately went in front of her and blocked her.

"Where’re you going, gurl?"

They started to surround Selina.

The goth girl did not waste any time. She sped up and ran straight into them. A few stepped aside to avoid her. One particular stupid delinquent stayed in place with a smug face, thinking that she wouldn’t run over him.

He was wrong. Selina slammed at him without stopping and sent him flying to the side. The delinquent groaned in pain, watching the goth girl disappear deeper in Central Park.

"That damn girl..."

Selina found a quiet place to settle down.

"Is this place good?" She said.

"It should be." Mater nodded.

The goth girl picked the same place he picked when he first got here. She really understood him.

Mater floated to the air and spat out his fire wand. It still had the golden color of the Holy State.

’I need to avoid damaging the grass and the tree. Otherwise, people will start questioning in the morning.’

Mater kept the wand in the Holy State. He pointed it to the sky and released the Holy Fire spell, the innate spell that was built inside the wand.

A column of fire shot up to the sky. Mater constricted the power of the spell so that it wouldn’t have that big of an impression.

"This is a nice spell. It can hurt both physical and spiritual beings. If I go all out, the damage can even be greater."

Then Mater swung the wand again. Golden feathers appeared around him and shot at a tree. Countless holes appeared on the trunk.

"The feathers are pretty quick too. They are only slower than Nether Beam. This can become one of my main attacking options."

There was a big drawback. The Holy Fire and Holy Feathers both used Fate stored inside the wand. Mater only had limited uses of it. The Fate Storage was much smaller than his Chaos Well.

"At least the wand can refill itself. Now... Let’s move on to the Demonic State."

Mater released the wand briefly as it changed from a golden color to a deep black wand. Its aura changed accordingly and felt much more sinister.

In Demonic State, all Mater’s spells were enhanced and they could also drain the Chaos of other Chaos Beings via Demonic Drain.

"Let’s try something obvious. Nether Beam!"

Mater pointed the wand at the sky again. A purple sphere materialized at the tip of the wand before shooting forward as a beam.

The purple Beam now had bright purple lightning surrounding it. The Nether Energy was much more condensed and destructive.

Then Mater used other spells. He tried to use the Rank-2 Layered Force Dome. From the tip of the spell, a pink barrier expanded and solidified. Mater used normal Nether Beam, which he fired with his mouth, at the Force Dome to test its durability.

With the wand, his Force Dome was incredibly stronger and could withstand many Nether Beams before breaking.

"This might be the best offensive Demonic Item I have. Even more than the Abyssal Helmet of Vengeance and the Demonic Transformation Watch."

Once he finished feeling out the wand, Mater swallowed it and kept it inside his Demonic Arsenal.

Selina clapped her hands like she was just watching an incredible show.

"You become even stronger, Mr. Mater!"

"Of course I did." The black cat swiped his head like he was swiping a head full of hair.

"I AM the one and only Dark Lord! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Mater couldn’t help but be delusional from time to time.

"Now. It’s time to make the Terrestrial Seal."

Terrestrial Seal for the Terrestrial Satyr, it was one of the three new servants type Mater had when he reached Bio-Lock.
