Chapter 95: Plastic Surgery Fail

"Director Sterling, you’re supposed to be at the shooting venue right now." Cynthia informed after her boss came out of the meeting room.

"That was today?" He stopped in his tracks realizing he’d almost missed the entire thing.

"Yes sir, the ad has to be shot before the event so it’ll be released timely." She informed.

"Call the driver, we’ll head there immediately."

While on the way, his secretary showed Andrew something online that made his face darken upon seeing it.

As he stepped into the building, everyone cleared out of his way subconsciously.

The shooting scene was mainly filled with working staff from SE and from the modelling agency.

Many who recognized him greeted him fearfully and stepped aside until he sighted the girl currently being photographed on stage.

Instantly, he could tell she was tricked into being up there. A surge of rage trailed through him.

The damn model who requested his presence watched everything unfold pleasantly, the glint in her eyes spoke clearly of her intentions.

Was this how terrible work ethics had become? A model clearly bullying his employee but no one dared to stop her.

He caught something strange as the so called famous model whispered something into someone’s ear, and that person instantly went on to carry out the instructions.

Moving onto the shooting spotlight as if they wanted to grab something but the truth was, that person grabbed a string from Anne’s dress, exchanging a look with Valeria before pulling.

That one string seemed to be the very thing holding the whole dress together, that one pull made the dress begin to loosen from it’s very seam.

Everyone gasped as a large patch of skin fell into their sight.

The dress started to rip from below showing a small hint of her thigh.

Without thinking about it, he instantly moved.

Usually, he wasn’t the man to walk in and save anyone in distress.

Usually, he walked away, but this time, seeing that girl naively standing there under the mocking gaze of the whole world, he suddenly felt a strong protective urge well up inside him.

The scene was prepared for flowers to rain down on the model, while the photographer would actively shoot how the petals fell down brushing her silk like skin.

Right at the moment the flowers were raining down, the person set to humiliate Anne by tearing off her clothes upon the pull of a string actively yanked, the fragile dress began to fall apart however, a broad figure suddenly entered everyone’s point of view blocking away the cameras and everyone’s eyes from the girl.

All Anne felt was a strange cold when her dress had started to tear from below showing her legs, she’d gasped and covered herself instantly wanting to run away from the shooting scene when flower petals began to rain down on her just at the moment someone appeared to cover her up.

What remained on her was a thin fabric that barely concealed her body. She held on tightly not letting it fall.

A strange cold engulfed her but the person in front of her was like a powerful shield keeping her away from the public’s eye.

So this was Valeria’s plan?

To make her stand in as the model double but humiliate her by stripping her naked to everyone’s eyes.

Anne clutched whatever fabric that remained of the dress tightly to her body, tears of humiliation burning in her eyes she couldn’t raise her head to look at the person standing in front of her but somehow, she knew it was him.

As cold as the arctic, as fiery as a raging volcano, it was him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She heard his voice ask low and rough. "Do you even know what would have happened if I hadn’t..."

He seemed to stop himself from completing those words, she saw his jaw tighten as if he was gritting his teeth to keep in his rage.

"I didn’t want to ruin the shoot. She insisted for me to do it otherwise she..."

"So she threatened you?"

Anne raised her gaze to his, those dark eyes intently waiting on a reply as he gazed down at her. The whole crowd behind seemed to have become non-existent at this moment.

Anne shook her head, feeling her tears threatening to fall and she instantly wiped them. She didn’t notice how harder the man’s expression had become as he looked down at her face intently before shifting his gaze away as if he couldn’t look anymore.

He suddenly unbuttoned his coat, skillfully shrugging it off and draping it around her while still keeping her concealed from the eyes behind.

Valeria, upon seeing the man’s sudden arrival quickly signaled to the girl filming the scene live to stop.

Whispers of uncertainty trailed around.

"What’s going to happen now?"

"Andrew Sterling doesn’t look pleased."

"He takes anything related to the company very seriously, and this shoot has been delayed for too long, he’s not going to like it one bit."

"But...why is he standing in front of that girl like that, does he know her?"

"She works for SE, he’s probably upset that his employee is made to stand in as a model double."

"This is so unfair, the first time I’m seeing Andrew Sterling in person and he looks so angry. I can’t even look at his face cuz he looks so scary!"

"What happened to her dress? He’s covering her up with his coat."

"I don’t know, I think the dress was falling apart, I didn’t really see but...why is Andrew Sterling helping an employee?"

"Did you see that earlier? It looked so magical with the flowers raining down."

"Stop romanticizing things unnecessarily, it’s not that deep."

Valeria wasn’t too nervous about Andrew’s presence, she had a very good excuse to use anyway.

Though the shoot wasn’t a long or stressful one requiring a model double, she was a top model and she wasn’t prone to working for too many hours at a time.

The dress she’d given the stylist to make Anne wear, it was her who took care of it and loosened a vital seam making it very easy to pull apart.

If Andrew Sterling hadn’t shown up at the time he did, the whole world would have gotten to see a flash of this girl’s nude. What could be more humiliating than that?

But since it didn’t go that far, it was still fine. The girl was already labelled a plastic surgery fail online anyway.

Stepping forward, Valeria called to Andrew who was still covering up the girl from everyone’s view.

"You came, we were expecting you way earlier but it’s fine, now that you’re here, we can continue with the shoot as planned." She spoke with a voice dripping with a feminine charm, but when the man tilted his head in her direction, her face couldn’t help but go pale.

The face that stared at her was rigid, colder than ice, those eyes reminiscent of a demon rising from hell with fury.

She instinctively took a step backwards.
