The article had described Anne as a vile and slutty young woman who would willingly do anything for money, and how she had made the perfect plan, infiltrating the life of the Sterling men until she had expertly attracted the attention of Andrew Sterling, everyone knew the man wasn’t interested in settling down or marriage, what made him change his mind and suddenly decide to get married out of the blue?

The article claimed to answer the burning question in everyone’s minds. Telling the general public that Anne had used a potent aphrodisiac to seduce Andrew in a single night of lust, which resulted in her getting pregnant, which she used so expertly to threaten Andrew to marry her otherwise she would ruin his chances of becoming CEO by creating a huge scandal that would hinder his growth.

Of course it was hard to believe that anyone could successfully threaten Andrew Sterling in a way that he would become helpless, however the article merged facts with spurned lies to make it believable enough to the public eye.

It was said that, their marriage was one of convenience, and Andrew Sterling hated his wife immensely, yet it painted Andrew in a noble way as a man who wouldn’t refuse the responsibility of his own spawn, so he was forced to marry Anne.

The article further went on to depict Anne as a woman who had been with multiple men in the past, with several men coming out to testify by making videos and spreading online, claiming to have been one of Anne’s victims in the past, having been seduced by her. One of the men even claimed her pregnancy seemed to coincide with the timeframe he had last slept with her, ultimately insinuating that the child she carried was his and not a Sterling blood.

Ever since the mall event where Anne appeared as SE’s spokesperson, countless companies had been eager to sign with her to appear as the faces of their brand, many even dated the contracts till months later after she had given birth, but immediately this scandal was released, those companies began to withdraw, immediately hiring other models to keep their image clean.

Hatred spread wide, Anne’s name dragged everywhere with insults being showered on her for being a disgusting and scheming woman.

When Anne finished reading through the article, a faint smile sat on her lips,

Anne found it quite laughable that Clara’s way of fighting her was always to spread lies about her, only this time it wasn’t within the walls of a company but to the outside world as well. Whether it was the past when Clara would spread lies about her in the company forum, or now spreading lies about her publicly online, Clara’s methods were weird and quite childish in Anne’s opinion.

It seemed if Anne didn’t beat her at her own game, Clara wouldn’t know when to stop.

Anne saw the insulting comments thrown at her, and read through them with quiet indifference.

Why should she let words originated from lies hurt her, the only thing that made it hurt was the fact that people were believing in the lies Clara fed them online. Which was something Anne found intolerable.

"Anne, that damn article online about you is pissing me off, don’t worry, I’m working on bringing it down." Kristen said immediately he picked up the call.

"Aren’t you going to ask me If it’s true?" Anne was surprised that it wasn’t the first thing Kristen asked her. Considering how he knew close to nothing about her relationship with Andrew, it would have been easy to almost be convinced about the article especially how believable it seemed.

"Why should I ask when I already know it’s a bunch of lies. Do something for me, log onto the link to something I just sent you, I’ll need that to take down the article."

"Wait, don’t take it down yet. There’s something else I’d like to do."

Kristen had been busy preparing for an interview at Nexon scheduled for tomorrow after he’d sent in an internship application, who would have thought he would wake up to such a defaming news about his sister. It was something he absolutely couldn’t stand, though he didn’t know what it was about or who had done it, he was sure that person hated his sister to spread something so horrible about her.

"What do you want to do?" Kristen asked, wondering what plan Anne could possibly have up her sleeve, but after listening to what Anne said, a pleasant smirk tilted his lips.

"Why didn’t I think of that?" Kristen had almost forgotten this side of his sister. Years of hardship had made her learn to stand up for herself whenever she could. She was soft and kind until someone threatened or stepped on her toes, then she would retaliate to the best of her abilities before reverting back to her quiet and kind self again.

Kristen happily followed Anne’s plans, creating what Anne had tasked him to create.

Andrew was at the office when he was suddenly notified about the article, his countenance immediately turned dark.

He had made it a priority to constantly keep Anne protected.

Every day Anne was fully escorted wherever she went, but he didn’t think that the next attack would be a petty internet rumor trying to defame his wife.

Without a doubt he already knew who was behind this.

It seemed he had let that woman off so leniently in the past, he didn’t need any other proof to know that she was the very person after Anne’s life all along, especially after his people traced the package of Anne’s picture which was discovered to have come from a highrise apartment in the city which was under the name of Clara Hastings.

Andrew didn’t believe in leaving punishments to law and order, he had several times taken punishing people into his own hands, and this time, he certainly would enjoy dealing the punishment to the person who once paid for his wife’s head.

"Get the article taken down and schedule a press conference." He instructed immediately, however before they could even take action, the article which had been all the rage earlier that day was suddenly being pushed down by something else immediately.

Another article had surfaced online, but just as the first one had been targeting Anne, this second article was a direct target at Clara as well.

Andrew paused with a keen interest in his eyes as he entered the second article that, right from the start tore Clara down to shreds.

A knowing smirk curved up his lips.

It seemed his Annelise would never cease to amaze him.

The more he read the second article which was gaining more traction at the speed of light, the more he realized he didn’t have to take care of the article for his wife, there was another pressing issue he had to address.

Clara was a poison that would repeatedly want to ruin his wife and if she wasn’t nipped in the bud, she definitely wouldn’t stop.
