Bought For A Baby, Kept For A Lifetime-Chapter 197: Bite
He slowly began to walk forward, Anne could swear he most likely would be hearing her heart beat right now.
What the hell did she just say?
Couldn’t she just keep her mouth shut?
That smile on his face... what did that smile mean?
Was he making fun of her right now?
If she hadn’t gone ahead and blurted something so stupid right to his face...
Unholy...?
Anne felt like smacking herself on the lips.
He didn’t say a word but continued to walk up the stairs, pushed open the doors to her room with his side and carried her inside. He placed her down gently at the entrance of the closet, his expression impassive as he said to her, "Go change."
Anne suddenly felt relief flush through her in that moment.
This was great!
Has she escaped that awkward talk about what she had blurted out a while ago?
Nodding, Anne wasted no time in rushing inside the walk in closet shutting the door behind her and leaning against it while patting her face to ease the heat.
She might have embarrassed herself by saying what she said earlier but it was a good thing he ignored it.
Anne listened for a moment against the door.
Was he still in her room or had he left?
Just then she heard the sound of the bedroom door closing softly from the outside, he seemed to have just left her room.
Oh great! He was really gone!
Finally relaxing, Anne went on to search for something comfortable to wear for the night.
She no longer wanted to think about why she’d been waiting for Andrew to come back anymore, she would go straight to bed.
Picking out a light red silk two piece nightwear, Anne changed from her wet clothes. She blow dried her hair until her hair was crisply dried and looked bouncy.
She rose from the fluffy white seat in front of the vanity, puffing out air from her cheeks feeling extremely relieved that she had just escaped an awkward moment, she walked out of the closet with the aim to head straight to bed but suddenly met an unexpected sight in her bedroom that made her halt in place, standing frozen, her face etched with shock.
There was currently a man in her room, a very familiar one, he was leaned against her wall, with one foot propped behind to rest on the wall. His massively broad shoulders looked relaxed, as if the world couldn’t touch him. Shirtless, his sculpted torso caught the warm lighting in her bedroom, each line of muscle carved in a way that spoke of rigid discipline just like the man himself.
Anne wanted to will her eyes away from him, but her gaze remained fixed onto the man in her room. She couldn’t tear her gaze away.
Her eyes trailed downwards, noticing how his skin held a natural warmth, smooth over the sharp plans of his chest and the ridge of his abdomen.
Lose black pajama pants hung low on his narrowed hips, the casualness of the attire contrasted with the strength in his frame, making him look both approachable and dangerously magnetic.
His posture looked unguarded, carrying an unspoken command, the kind that drew attention even in silence. It didn’t look like he was just standing there, it made it evident he owned the place with nothing more than the way he leaned on the wall.
Slowly, he tilted his head in her direction, shiny black strands falling over his forehead giving him a boyish appeal. Noticing that she was finally out, he pushed himself off the wall and began to walk in her direction.
Anne suddenly came back to her senses, the momentary trance of being captivated in the moment by his appearance was suddenly shattered.
She had clearly heard him leaving the room, when did he come back again.
He was getting really close to her, not knowing what to do as he closed the distance between them Anne began to shift backwards but she very quickly hit the door to the closet which was right behind her.
She suddenly felt trapped, the closer he came, the higher she needed to crane her neck up to look at him so her gaze would be fixed on his face not his body.
His arm came up, sitting right above her head against the door as his face leaned downwards.
"Where were we?" His low voice made a sweet tickle trail through her body, the heat of his breath up close intoxicating.
"Where were we with what?" She asked quickly, the way she fidgeted a clear indication that she wanted to escape.
"You were saying something about unholy things that married people do?"
She stiffened, her eyes closing avoidantly.
Why did he have to bring that up again?
Was that why he came back into her room?
"I...I don’t want to talk about that, I just had a slip of tongue."
"Oh did you?" He seemed to lean in closer, "But I’m not done talking about it." He whispered huskily in her ear causing her eyes to flash open and her hands to instinctively come up to push at his chest to get away but he was unmovable.
"You said you didn’t want the staff to see us, because you don’t want them to think we’re doing unholy things, correct?"
The way his breath fell over the lower part of her ear and her neck made her heart rate pick up, whenever he was near, whenever he was this near, she always felt like her heart couldn’t beat any faster but it did, she was surprised her ribs hadn’t caved yet.
But what felt even more surprising was how just his closeness was making her body heat up from the inside as if a fire had suddenly been set within her.
He seemed to have control over not just her heart but her body as well.
"But I’m different from you Annelise, unlike you I want everyone to see you and think of the nasty things I might be doing to you behind closed doors...for them to know you’re mine."
She trembled lightly trying to fight off this sensation in her body when something hot closed over her neck.
Her eyes widened and she gasped when a light pain suddenly tugged at the skin around her neck.
Her toes curled into the soft carpet on the floor.
The pain she just felt hadn’t hurt as much as it felt pleasurable. The sweet sensation lingered around her neck with a trace of warmth and Anne was suddenly struck by a realization.
Did he just bite her?
