Those were the only things he came to say to her.
When he woke up today with the intention of going to work he’d thought of driving with her, and he’d suddenly felt uncomfortable inside when he was told she left. It was this new desire to spend time with her, and that desire came from somewhere deep within him.
After saying what he wanted to say, Andrew turned on his heels and left the department.
His sudden appearance at the department was like a bomb suddenly set off in the company. And most importantly, the fact that he spoke to Anne.
Everyone’s gazes in Anne’s direction was nothing but pure shock, to the point she felt somewhat awkward after he had left and could only excuse herself and return to her personal office.

Andrew had only said a few words to Anne earlier that morning, but he had no idea how big of a buzz those few words would be to everyone around the company.
The employees continued to debate this whole situation and when they couldn’t come up with a certain theory, they took the debate to a post on the company forum.
Immediately the post landed on the forum, people began to react to it. Many reacted negatively, since there was no picture evidence attached to the post, they could only deny that the post was made by someone who wanted to start a gossip.
A few of the department employees who had been present at the scene that morning rushed to comment testifying to the fact that it indeed had happened and they’d witnessed the whole thing. May began to become swayed into believing it.
The quoted statement; From now on, you drive to work with me. Never leave without my knowledge again. Became a trending topic as the employees began to dissect the statement just to figure out the meaning behind them.
[This statement...after deliberating over it for hours now, I can only conclude that it’s either fake, or that director Sterling indeed has a girlfriend.]

For the whole day, Anne’s workload became very heavy, many people began to come to the department with different requests that didn’t have anything to do with marketing or the kind of work they do there.
Some would come for the sole purpose of using the photocopy machine when every department had one.
Anne knew Andrew’s single move of coming to talk to her that morning must have created all this buzz. All the employees were looking at her strangely and many of them didn’t even seem focused anymore whenever they were discussing official matters.
Why did he have to talk to her in front of so many people? It was clearly agreed between them that their marriage would be kept a secret from the whole world, with what he had just done, it was like giving people a reason to doubt their relationship or even put a name to it altogether.
Meanwhile, as this news skyrocketed in the company’s gossip, it inevitably appeared in front of Clara.
"Have you seen the forum? There’s a dating gossip between Anne and director Sterling." Jessica who saw Clara walking out of her office immediately reported this to her.

Jessica who was scolded lowered her head but inevitably smiled apologetically and backed away.
Clara who’d shown a composed expression on the other hand immediately seemed to lose it as she entered her office. She brought out her phone and entered that very gossip, this time reading through every comment.
Did Andrew really say that to Anne?
Clara knew there were gossip in the company, but most times those gossips usually started from the truth before they’d be eventually mixed in with lies.
With eyes glowering Clara gritted her teeth. She was right, Anne was way more calculative than she let on.
She was somehow wriggling her way into Andrew’s life, if Clara continued to let her succeed in this, Andrew might eventually be snatched right out of her fingers.
Clara immediately walked out of her office heading for the elevator, she entered the elevator and went up to the executive floor heading to Andrew’s office.
’If she’s a woman, I’m a woman too. Whatever she used to seduce you, I have it too.’ Clara’s eyes shone with determination.
