Born Into Villain's Family: I Have a 200\% Rebate System-Chapter 254: Venting Her Anger
Chapter 254: Chapter 254: Venting Her Anger
Without hesitation, she opened her laptop and quickly messaged Darren.
"How are you doing?" she typed, her fingers moving quickly over the keyboard.
Meanwhile, Darren was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He thought he had finally gotten away from the hacker after ditching his old phone, but then he heard a sound coming from his phone.
His heart stopped.
No way... not again...
Panicked, Darren threw his phone across the room like it was a hot potato. His face went pale with fear. He had hoped he was done with all of that.
Suddenly, he heard a soft chuckle.
Aurora’s voice rang out from his phone, almost like she was right there in the room with him. "Did you realize that I can see you, Darren?" she asked, amusement clear in her tone.
Darren froze, his eyes widening. He looked around, half-expecting Aurora to appear from the shadows. His mouth went dry, and his stomach dropped.
"What... What do you mean you can see me?" Darren stammered, fear creeping into his voice.
Aurora chuckled again, her voice smooth and full of teasing. "You don’t need to know from where I’m watching you. But I’ll let you in on something—you’ve been a bit naughty lately, haven’t you?"
Darren’s eyes darted around the room as his mind raced. What did she know? He opened his mouth to deny it, but before he could speak, Aurora’s next words struck him like a ton of bricks.
"You tried to blackmail one of your colleagues for extra money, didn’t you?"
Darren’s face went white, and he felt his stomach twist in anxiety. How did she know?
Immediately, he started to backpedal.
"I-I didn’t mean to! I’ll apologize! I swear, I’ll fix everything!" he said, his voice pleading.
But Aurora’s tone didn’t soften.
"No, Darren. I don’t think an apology will cut it. You need to learn a lesson." Her voice turned sharp, and her next words had Darren’s blood running cold.
"I want you to call Mason and Caleb to your house. Right now."
Darren’s eyes widened even more, confusion mixing with fear. "What?!" he gasped. "Why would I—"
Aurora didn’t let him finish. "You heard me. Call them to your house." She sounded like she wasn’t asking, but demanding.
Darren frowned, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"No. I’m not doing that," he muttered under his breath. From his perspective, he thought this hacker was a guy. A man. There was no way he was just going to blindly follow her orders.
But Aurora wasn’t done. She laughed softly, almost like she was mocking him.
"Oh, Darren, you’re so innocent. You really think that if the cyber police show up here, they’ll find anything? Trust me, they won’t. You’ll find no trace of me, no evidence of anything." Her voice was smooth, calm, almost like she was in complete control.
Darren was completely thrown off now. He was trying to piece together what she was saying, but it didn’t make any sense.
"What do you mean? What do you mean, nothing will happen?" Darren asked, his mind racing with questions.
Aurora’s voice dropped to a chilling tone. "You thought you could go against me, huh? Well, I’ll teach you a good lesson. Just wait."
Darren barely had time to react before his phone suddenly buzzed to life, the screen lighting up on its own. He stared at the phone, feeling a strange sense of dread.
Without any warning, the phone started posting something.
His eyes widened in horror as he saw the video of him from a while ago—him beating up one of his classmates—being posted in the public forum. No, no, no!A
The video was spreading like wildfire across university forum, and public forums. He could see the comments flooding in, people shocked and disgusted. His heart sank.
"Oh no!" Darren gasped, his throat dry as he frantically tried to stop the post. "Please, please, don’t do this!"
Aurora’s voice was cold, almost emotionless as she spoke. "I’ll take it down... but only once Mason and Caleb show up at your place. Until then, you’re stuck with the video."
Darren’s whole body froze. He was in full panic mode now.
"Please, I’ll do whatever you want!" he begged, his hands shaking as he looked at the screen. "I’ll listen, I swear! Just don’t leave it up!"
Aurora didn’t respond immediately, just letting the tension hang in the air.
Then, she finally spoke again, her voice dripping with authority.
"Good. Now call Mason and Caleb."
Darren, desperate now, quickly grabbed his phone and dialed Mason’s number.
He was practically shaking as the phone rang. After a few rings, Mason’s sleepy, uninterested voice came through.
"What do you want, Darren?"
"Listen, Mason," Darren said, his voice urgent and filled with panic, "If you don’t get to my house in five minutes, I will make sure your family is bankrupt. Understand?"
Mason was silent for a moment, clearly processing Darren’s words. Then, in his usual lazy tone, he replied, "Five minutes? Fine. But don’t go overboard, alright?"
Darren didn’t wait for a reply. He quickly ended the call and took a deep breath, his nerves almost making him tremble. Then he proceeded to calling Caleb and did the same thing.
"Good," Aurora said, sounding pleased. "Now, let’s see if they’re quick enough."
Mason and Caleb arrived just as the minutes ticked down, their footsteps echoing down the hallway.
They knocked on Darren’s door, which he opened with a forced expression, hiding the tension in his face.
"Okay, we’re here. Now what do you want?" Mason’s voice was full of irritation, his eyes scanning the room with barely concealed disgust.
Caleb stood beside him, arms crossed, his gaze hard as he sized Darren up.
From the moment Darren had kissed both of them, things had changed.
They didn’t look at him the same way anymore. They had no interest in playing along with his schemes now that things were spiraling out of control.
Darren, knowing full well the disdain they were throwing his way, decided to just get to the point.
