Chapter 232: Chapter 232: Revenge

For the first time in her life, Aurora felt as if... money was the enemy of humans.

It was money with which those boys were able to close the case and remain unharmed.

It was money for which her parents had begged others.

It was money that had caused her medication to stop since her family didn’t have much.

And... it was money that her sister had donated to her for her surgery, but Adriana herself never got justice.

But the main problem was... Aurora couldn’t do anything.

It was heartbreaking to think that now that Aurora has money, most of her family members were already harassed or tormented.

Olivia was tormented by that Lancaster family, and yet she couldn’t fight back.

Adriana was harassed by those rich boys and got away with it.

Mary was molested, too.

Theodore was humiliated and molested too...

The more Aurora thought, the heavier her heart felt.

’No Aurora... this isn’t the time to think about this stuff... now you have money and skills too. Make them pay back for everything they have done.’

Aurora stared at the screen, her eyes burning—not just with tears this time, but with fire.

Darren Kingsley.

She typed his name into her system, her fingers moving fast and angry over the keyboard.

It took her less than five minutes to break into his personal files. His digital footprint was wide... too wide. Careless. Arrogant.

He had photos, messages, chat groups, and tracking history just lying around, like he believed he’d never be caught.

Aurora gritted her teeth.

She opened a stream from his phone’s camera. The grainy footage blinked into focus... and there he was. Darren Kingsley, sitting on a plush red couch inside a flashy nightclub.

Loud music pounded in the background, the lights flashing in neon purples and blues. He was laughing, a drink in one hand, and surrounded by the same old monsters: Mason Troy and Caleb St. John.

On his phone screen was a livestream replay. Aurora squinted.

It was the stream from earlier—Adriana’s breakdown. He was watching it.

And smiling.

Then came the words that made Aurora’s stomach twist.

"That girl..." Darren drawled, grinning. "Man, she was something else. I had a damn good time messing with her back then."

Mason barked a laugh, slamming his drink down. "Right? She cried so easy. Like, one word and she’d be shaking."

"I swear," Darren continued, "if I get another chance, I’d do it all over again. The only thing stopping me now is the people backing her. Otherwise? She’d be mine again."

Aurora’s fingers froze on the keyboard. Her breath came short.

Mason leaned back, arms stretched.

"Please. That’s nothing. I bet I can still get her address. People talk. A few bills to the right guy and boom—we got her."

Caleb snorted.

"You better keep that on the down-low, though. Jessica would go ballistic if she found out you’re still thinking about Adriana."

"Pfft," Darren waved a hand. "Jessica doesn’t know half of what I do. I’ve got side chicks in three cities. You think I’m scared of a cheerleader?"

Aurora’s eyes narrowed into slits.

Her lips curled slowly, coldly, into a smile.

"Now," she whispered, "Darren needs to pay."

She cracked into Darren’s phone fully, taking control. Within seconds, she activated his microphone. Her voice was altered, a low, mechanical whisper laced with menace.

Darren’s phone lit up. He frowned.

"What the hell?"

He lifted the phone to his ear.

"Hi, Darren," the voice whispered.

He froze.

Mason looked over. "What is it?"

"Shhh," Darren whispered, staring at his screen. "I think someone’s calling me, but... there’s no call."

"There isn’t a call," the voice said again. "No one’s calling. But I’m talking."

Darren’s heart skipped a beat.

His phone screen showed nothing—no call, no video. Just the home screen. And yet, the voice was clear. Right in his ear.

"Who the hell is this?" he snapped.

"You’re going to listen carefully," the voice said. "For the next one month, you’ll do exactly as I say."

Darren stood up, scanning the club. "Is this a prank? Who is this? Mason? Caleb?"

Mason raised his hands. "Dude, I’m not doing anything."

"You’re being watched," the voice said slowly. "Every second. Right now, I can see the stain on your sleeve. The crack on your screen protector. I can see your nose twitching."

Darren paled.

The voice chuckled softly. "If you don’t listen, if you even think about ignoring me—I’ll send the truth to Jessica. And your mommy and daddy. I’ll tell them about your little side chicks. I’ll tell them about the drugs you’re still hiding in your closet."

Darren’s legs nearly gave out.

"No," he whispered.

"Yes," the voice hissed. "And if you still don’t care, I’ll send it to the police. Hell, maybe even the High Court. Think that’s funny, Darren? Think your money can clean that up?"

His hands shook.

The voice was relentless.

"I’ll make your crimes trend on every social media platform within five minutes. I’ll hack into every news site and livestream your videos. You molested a girl. You laughed about it. Let’s see how the world reacts to that."

Darren’s breath was ragged.

Mason and Caleb were watching him now, nervous.

"Dude," Mason said, "are you okay? You look like you saw a ghost."

Darren turned away, gripping his phone tightly.

"What do you want from me?" he whispered into the mic.

Aurora, watching from her room, leaned back in her chair. Her voice was still cold and robotic through the modulator, but her smile was chillingly human.

"Everything, Darren. I want everything."

She leaned closer to her mic.

"Oh, and Darren?"

"What?"

"Tell Mason he won’t find Adriana’s address. I already erased her from every database. You couldn’t find her even if you sold your soul."

Darren stood frozen, staring at the screen, which was now just showing the weather app, like nothing had happened.

"Now for your first task. I heard that you and your buddies are homophobic. It just happens that I am bored... so first kiss Mason and then Caleb."
