Chapter 69: Ultimate Revenge Activated

Before entering this room, Noah already knew it was Jeremy Morgan, the mastermind, who kidnapped Emma—he saw a familiar car parked in front of the building.

Meanwhile, his system buzzes to life, alerting him to an Ultimate Revenge mission.

A thrill runs through him as he finally sees the opportunity to send Jeremy Morgan straight to hell.

’How dare he challenge me to kidnap Emma?’

However, when he enters the building, he needs to take care of some guards downstairs before rushing to this room, only to witness this bastard Jeremy almost ruin Emma’s life.

He could no longer hold his anger, but he didn’t rush to kill him now.

After taking out a coat from his mind-space, Noah placed it gently to cover Emma’s revealing body.

He completely ignored Jeremy’s threat.

His eyes stayed on Emma, who seemed to be sleeping peacefully. But unknown to anyone else, he was quietly staring at his system panel.

’You asked for death, Jeremy! I will grant it...’ Noah whispered and turned to look at his pathetic cousin.

He saw Jeremy stand up and walk toward him with a dagger in his hand, aiming at his throat.

There was no flash of fear in Noah’s gaze—only calmness. A sinister smile slowly spread across his lips as he let Jeremy draw closer.

Jeremy roared in rage, "I will kill you, bastard!"

With a swift move, Noah seized Jeremy’s hand, stopping it just inches from his throat. He locked eyes with Jeremy, whose wide gaze now brimmed with disbelief.

Noah smiled coldly with his eyes and said, "No—if I kill you first, you useless bastard!" Twisting Jeremy’s hand, he forced the dagger’s tip against Jeremy’s own neck.

"Rrghhh... You broke my hand! Again!?" Jeremy howled.

"Well, you asked for it," Noah replied coolly. He pressed his other hand against Jeremy’s chest and shoved him backward. Jeremy’s massive frame flew back so fast that there was no space left when his back slammed against the wall.

Crack!

The sound of bones breaking rang out, followed by Jeremy’s howl echoing through the room.

"Your other hand hasn’t even healed, and yet you came back to challenge me? Are you truly that foolish—or just heartless?"

Noah’s voice dripped with disdain.

"Can’t you see? You’re just a mama’s boy, Jeremy Morgan? You’re so fucking brainless, you can’t even think like a normal person."

Jeremy’s face turned crimson as fury erupted. "You bast—" His voice cut off as he felt the cold blade at his throat.

Noah pressed the dagger into his skin just enough to draw blood. A fresh line of crimson trickled down Jeremy’s neck.

"No one can stop me now, Jeremy," Noah said coldly. "You will die, and no one can save you. Not even your grandfather or father will save you this time..."

It was the first moment Jeremy truly realized Noah meant to kill him. A chill surged through his body, freezing his blood. His face turned pale as he stared into the deadly glare in Noah’s eyes.

"N-No... Please, don’t kill me! I’ll do whatever you ask, Noah!" Jeremy pleaded desperately. "I’ll convince my grandfather and father to accept you into the family. Just... don’t kill me."

But Noah, hearing that, felt as if Jeremy had just told a joke.

"Pft! Do you think I need the Morgan Group? I don’t need them!"

"N-Noah... What do you want? Please... tell me," Jeremy stammered, his voice trembling. "D-Do you want me to beg for forgiveness?"

His knees weakened beneath him, but he couldn’t fall—Noah still pinned him tightly against the wall.

"You’re too late. You already hurt my friend. You even try to rape her. You are so dead!"

"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Ugh—I didn’t even touch her yet—" Jeremy’s voice cut off abruptly as Noah landed a brutal punch to his chest.

The loud sound of ribs cracking and breaking made Jeremy’s eyes bulge. His body jerked as though he were about to vomit.

Just in time, Noah hurled him to the ground, and a burst of blood erupted from Jeremy’s mouth, splattering across the floor. No cry of pain followed—only the twitching of his limbs before they fell still.

Noah simply stood there, staring at Jeremy’s lifeless form on the ground.

Then, a buzzing sound echoed in Noah’s mind as a notification appeared before his eyes.

’Rest in peace, Jeremy. I hope you rot and burn in fucking hell!’

Noah took a deep sigh before tearing his gaze away from Jeremy’s lifeless body to look at Emma.

He felt relieved that she was still peacefully asleep—she slept like a dead person. If only Zoe hadn’t told him she was unconscious because of the drugs, he might have thought she was dead. He barely felt her pulse.

As he approached the bed, another notification caught Noah’s attention. He checked it and was surprised to see that it was about something he had been waiting for.

’Zoe, am I leveling up twice? How did I gain so much experience just by killing Jeremy?’

Noah still can’t believe what he saw. The experience he gained after defeating Jeremy Morgan was enough for him to level up twice.

’Yes, because this is your first time achieving your ultimate revenge. And also, you kill five people on the first floor...’

Noah smiled, thinking about the five people on the first floor. Earlier, he quickly took them out, shooting their vital spots. With just one shot, he could kill them instantly.

But Noah’s smile slowly faded as Zoe’s voice echoed in his mind, ’Sir, you can’t be satisfied with your level. You are only at level four... still 96 levels to go before you get stronger to defeat all those on The List!’

His expression darkened as he realized he might have to become a killer rather than a businessman. Although he disliked the idea, he felt unable to stop because the system was already deeply ingrained in his soul.
