“So we are truly comrades from now on.”

The ponytailed girl grinned at Ronan as she extended her hand, saying, “Let me introduce myself formally, my name is Jo…”

Ronan was about to extend his hand in response when the girl under the sunlight, who had just begun introducing herself, was suddenly interrupted…

“Puff—” freeweɓnøvel.com

The sound of something piercing through flesh, Ronan experienced for the second time the sensation of warm blood splashing onto his face from such close range.

And shattered organs…

His already extended right hand froze in mid-air, his gaze intently fixed on a bizarre object that abruptly “grew” from the chest of the ponytailed girl—a spiky, dark green thing resembling a giant python or some kind of tentacle.

The ponytailed girl, similarly in shock, looked at her own chest as blood gushed from her mouth in bursts.

Disbelief and incredulity marred her not-so-pretty face, which rapidly paled at a visibly fast rate…

“Whoosh—”

In the next second, the ponytailed girl was swiftly dragged away from Ronan.

She was flung by the strange tentacle that had pierced her body, landing heavily on the distant grass like a torn sack, twitching weakly…

The sunlight shone directly on Ronan’s face, somewhat blinding, yet he felt no warmth at all.

He saw a silhouette against the sunlight, staring fixedly at him.

It was a petite woman, delicately featured, with seaweed-like dark green hair and lips of the same color.

Behind her sprouted several thick, spiky, dark green tentacles that, combined with the vine-like green patterns crawling across her face, made Ronan realize they were indeed some form of vines.

A Plant Series spell.

The woman coldly stared at Ronan, her eyes seemingly devoid of any warmth.

She locked eyes with Ronan and declared with certainty, “You…

killed Fa Ao!”

Ronan’s lips quivered, almost betraying him in that moment.

Luckily, a figure surrounded by several fireballs swiftly approached, descending from above.

“Lola!

What you’ve done is too much!”

Jerome’s robust physique shielded Ronan, radiating waves of heat.

His voice was filled with suppressed coldness and anger.

“It was him who killed Fa Ao!

He killed Fa Ao!”

The woman with seaweed-like dark green hair suddenly became agitated, her face’s runes starting to glow as she loudy pointed at Ronan and shouted.

Her vine tentacles behind her wildly thrashed, trying to kill Ronan just as they had the ponytailed girl.

Ronan kept retreating while Jerome’s Molten Lava Fire Ring blocked all attacks from the crazed green-haired woman.

However, the residual energy from their clash struck him like whips.

The surrounding grass and buildings were destroyed as if they were delicate pieces of cake.

This was a battle befitting true Level 1 Wizards, terrifyingly formidable.

“Get out of the way, Jerome!

Don’t stop me, I’m sure he’s the one who killed Fa Ao!”

The woman screamed while ferociously attacking, her face a mask of madness and murderous intent.

Jerome shook his head coldly.

“You’ve really lost it, Lola…He’s just a Level 9 Wandering Wizard Apprentice!

And we have checked many times before; there’s nothing on him that matches the marks left by Fa Ao’s dying moment…”

“So what?

I know it was him who killed Fa Ao!”

“You really need to calm down…”

“Get lost!”

With a shriek, the woman suddenly unleashed an indescribable terrifying spiritual power pulse, her dark green tentacles instantly growing wildly, piercing through Jerome’s Molten Lava Fire Ring.

Just as they were about to charge at Ronan…

Then, “Whoosh—”

As if a Level 10 typhoon passed by in a second, Ronan’s hair and Magic Robe were blown fiercely backwards.

He almost felt as if the air around him was sucked out in an instant, the terrifying pressure making it hard for him to breathe.

Ronan tried his best to open his eyes, but all he saw was a blur of green, wrapping around the erupting madwoman before shrinking rapidly towards the deepest part of the academy.

The woman struggled and screamed in frenzy until, realizing it was futile, she suddenly calmed down, her green eyes locked onto Ronan through the distance, thick with almost tangible rancor and hatred…

Ronan watched as the woman’s figure disappeared into the distance.

“The second time…”

Ronan took a deep breath, his face calmly murmuring.

“What second time?”

Jerome appeared beside him at some point, asking lightly.

Ronan was startled, then with a bitter smile looked towards the distant corpse of the ponytailed girl, saying, “This is the second time I’ve watched someone seemingly fine suddenly die in front of me…”

Beneath the mask of bitterness, Ronan’s heart was a slab of solid ice.

This was also the second time…

he had felt so powerless and desperate in the face of death!

He really didn’t want a third time.
