Blade of the Goddess-Chapter 227
Chapter 227: Chapter 227
"Emergency! Emergency! I have a message! I need to speak with Lady Karyndra right now! Let me through! Fucking let me through!" An angel shouted as he ran past people, knocking into them here and there.
"What’s up with this guy?" frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
"Has he lost his mind?"
"Maybe he’s on drugs."
The angel reached two large men who were guarding a door to the office of Karyndra.
"Halt! Take another step and we’ll cut you down." One of the guards shouted.
"Let me through! I have an urgent message for Lady Karyndra!" The man pleaded
The guards looked at each other and frowned.
"Look, kid, that trick won’t work on us. We’ve dealt with people like you before."
"Please! You have to listen to me! It’s urgent."
Now the guards were getting annoyed. One of them raised his sword and prepared to attack.
"You better leave now or you’ll lose your wings."
"It’s okay, I’ll listen to what he has to say." A woman’s voice chimed in.
"L-Lady Karyndra!" The guards bowed.
She sat on a chair that was already prepared for her and motioned for the man to speak. "If this isn’t worth my time, I’ll have you beheaded." She warned.
"O-Of course!" He opened the scroll. "An unknown person has invaded the upper world and is now slaughtering angels left and right. Ten floating islands in the western quadrant have already been destroyed and their residents massacred! Everyone sent to aid has also been killed."
"What?!"
"How did someone arrive here?"
"Maybe it’s the dogs of the gods!"
"Quiet!" Karyndra shouted. "What does this person look like?" She asked. This was no small matter. She ruled over the western quadrant, and those were her people being slaughtered.
"H-He’s tall, has black hair and red eyes, and a red energy is surrounding him. He’s strong. Really strong. We’re losing people left and right."
’A man with black hair and red eyes that uses a redish energy? I don’t know anyone like that besides the Apostle of the Dragon God. But she’s not here right now. Who in their right mind would attack the upper world, and my section on top of that?’ Karyndra wondered.
"M-My lady! There is one more thing! He’s using weapons that resemble the Ancient Relics!"
At those words, Karyndra shot up and was fueled with anger. "Zion Zagan! That fucking bastard! I don’t know how he got up here, but I won’t let him leave alive!"
She turned around. "Everyone! With me, now!"
---
Zion sat on a mountain of bodies after he finished killing everyone on the floating rock he was on. At this point, he had destroyed twenty of them and was now waiting for the messenger to do his part.
"I’m sure this will get her attention." He smirked, waiting for Karyndra to arrive.
The sky cracked, and an intense wave of energy crashed down on Zion, vaporizing everything it came in contact with.
"That’s not a nice way to greet someone." He smirked, looking up at the sky to see an angry Karyndra floating above him.
"You fucking ant!" She growled
"You must be Karyndra. The famous Archangel who worked alongside Luminera in the past and is now working with Azmorath to take over the three worlds."
She frowned. "How do you know this?"
"I have eyes and ears everywhere." He chuckled, wiping off ash from his body.
’He’s unharmed? How? Although I didn’t attack at full strength, he should have died by that attack.’
"You’re probably wondering why I’m not harmed by your attack, right? Wanna know how?" A grin grew on his face.
"Humor me."
"It’s simple, really. I’m not actually here. Go on, touch me."
She hesitated, but ended up going along with him. Sure enough, when she touched Zion’s body, her hand went right through him.
"A projection?" She asked
"Hologram actually. Your stupid angel brain probably doesn’t know what that means."
She smiled. "Heh, seems like you’re too scared to fight me. Coward."
"Really? That’s not going to work on me. I’m not fucking stupid. And if I’m a coward, then why don’t you go ahead and face one of the gods head-on right now? You wont, pussy. That’s right. If you could, you would have done so by now. Anyone, I just wanted to tell you that you can’t win against me, and all your plans will fail."
"Do you even know what we’re planning?" She wondered.
"No. And honestly, I don’t care. But what I do know is that whatever you’re planning, it’s not going to work. Why? Because I always think ahead. Most of the time. Usually, when I’m thinking ahead. Anyway, I’m going now. I hope you enjoyed the present I left you."
Zion hung up.
"Present?"
Just then, the device that projected Zion’s hologram exploded. But it wasn’t just any normal explosion. It was an anti-matter explosion and it devastated the area as well as the nearby floating islands.
But that wasn’t all. Back when Zion entered the demon world, he studied how it worked. He learned that it’s on the same planet as the middle world, but takes up a different space. However, outer space itself was still the same, but to use his space weapons in the realm, he had to calibrate them to the frequency of the demon world.
He completed that task already, so when he arrived in the upper world, he did the same thing.
So, in multiple parts of the upper world, Zion had his satellites rain down all types of destruction. Laser beams, nuclear bombs, anti-matter bombs, everything.
The damage was catastrophic, but that was exactly what Zion wanted.
Karyndra, who wasn’t affected due to her strength, saw everything. She was furious, more furious than she had ever been. Not even the gods made her this angry.
Besides the stronger angels and those who narrowly managed to survive, every person who was caught up in the destruction died.
"I’ll kill him! I’ll fucking kill him! I’ll burn his world to the ground and slaughter his whole family right in front of him! No, no, this is good. Haha, this can work in my favor. They’ll come for him now. Haha! They’ll come for him!" She blasted off into the air, laughing in a fit of rage and anticipation.
