Chapter 214: Chapter 214

"What...the...fuck!" Zion dropped the demon after invading his mind, and what he learned wasn’t something he or probably anyone would expect.

The demon was now brain-dead as his mind, which had protection spells to stop people from reading his mind, was now broken as Zion forcefully peered into his memories.

"That’s....That’s insane. Hahahaha! This changes everything. Oh, Luminera. You’re going to want to hear this."

’What is it?’ She asked, slightly worried.

"Well, it turns out that the demons aren’t trying to wage war for no reason. It seems that just like you, they are tired of the gods and devils ruling the world. So, they started making preparations to overthrow them. But they knew it would be impossible with the current state of the three worlds. They needed three things to make this happen: the ancient relics, the Nexus Pool, and most importantly, people."

"They were slowly building an army?" Luminera assumed

"No, more like grooming the middle world to accept the ways of the demons. Remember, they too were once worshiped in these lands, but now that they weren’t, it was hard to spread their influence. However, they wouldn’t have been able to break through the barrier the gods put in place, and the devils didn’t care to help them, so they called upon their old enemies, the angels."

Luminera caught on to what Zion was saying, and it deeply upset her. "No!"

Zion nodded. "That’s right. It was the angels who allowed the demons to cross and spread their influence. Some of them also didn’t like the reign of the gods, so they teamed up. Now it makes sense, because why haven’t we seen an angel descend to aid when the demons attacked?"

"They really are working together. No angel would sit by and allow demons to invade Midgard and have its inhabitants deal with the threat themselves." Luminera was furious. She just thought the demons were trying to get revenge or something, but now, this changes everything.

"While I wasn’t able to get more of their plans, I was able to get two names."

"Tell me them, right away!" Luminera demanded

"The first one is Azmorath." He said

If she were next to Zion, he would have seen her tense up. "Azmorath, he’s an Archdemon, the most powerful one at that."

"Well fuck. This makes things more difficult."

"And for the other name?" She asked.

"Karyndra."

As soon as those words left his mouth, Zion was forcefully pulled into his fracture.

"The fuck?!"

"Is that true? Did you really catch the name Karyndra?" Luminera asked, gripping Zion’s shoulders tightly.

"Y-Yeah, why?" He asked, slightly worried.

"She’s the most powerful Archangel in the upperworld. She was also my right-hand woman. If she’s working with Azmorath, then things have become a lot more serious than I thought."

"We should inform Lilith and Erebosa."

Luminera nodded, agreeing with Zion.

He called the two of them to his fracture and told them everything he learned.

To say they were shocked was an understatement.

Lilith nodded. "So that’s why he suddenly wanted to go to war. It all makes sense now."

"Maybe we can use this to our advantage." Erebosa proposed. "If we can have the angels and demons wage war against he demons and gods, it will be easier for us to swoop in and reclaim our positions."

Luminera thought it was a good idea, but Zion disagreed.

"No. That won’t work."

Everyone turned to him.

"Why do you think that?"

"The demons are trying to take over the middle world. If we let them wage war, this means allowing the demons to claim the middle world and potentially use it a the place for their war. I’m sure not all demons and angels agree with the war, so the middle world would definitely be destroyed in the process if it’s used as the battlefield."

Lilith agreed. "Not only that, but if we let the war happen, this means giving up the control that we have. It’s best to let Zion take over the middle world to thwart their plans, then strike when the time is right."

Erebosa nodded. "Very well. We’ll continue with the original plan. Speaking of that, Zion, could you start sending people over?"

He nodded. "I’ll get started right away."

Everyone left, and Zion returned to the middle world.

Once he met up with his mother, she had already defeated Elian and his army, forcing them to surrender and placing them under his control.

Zion ordered the destruction of anything Arion and the construction of everything Luminera.

After that, he flew to the Thalrond Kingdom.

There, Ignis forced Maxith to surrender, placing his kingdom under Zion’s control as well. Just like the Valkoria Kingdom, he ordered his people to start building churches, shrines, and temples for Luminera.

A lot of the citizens were against it, but Zion made an example out of them. He gave them money. Everyone gets quiet when they get money.

As for the Alithtos Alliance, they didn’t even try to fight. They agreed to sign a treaty and became a part of the now Holy Empire.

Zion hovered in the sky, looking down upon the newly formed Holy Empire. "Honestly, this isn’t as cool as I thought it would be. I guess it doesn’t matter. What’s important is that we’re closer to our goal now."

[You’ll feel better once you take over the world.]

"We’ll see."

Zion flew back to his home and called three hundred of his people back there as well. He explained their mission and led them into his world.

He also set up a schedule. After rebuilding the other kingdoms and establishing their dominance, 1,000 people will go into the fracture and train to become Mystic Stage Knights and Mages before returning, while some of them will go to the demon world.

This way, his people will be as strong as they could be once their either returned to the middle world, or go to the demon world to aid Lilith.
