Blade of the Goddess-Chapter 133
Chapter 133: Chapter 133
"Tell me everything." He said, standing up and walking toward a window.
"After gathering every document and piece of information the gangs had in their possession, we’ve discovered two crucial things. The first one is that there are what looks to be some form of ancient demonic spells or rituals that connect the monster realm to the demon world using the world’s negative energy." She informed
Zion perked up. "Does it say anything about how to close the fracture? Here in Alfheim, there is a massive fracture that is connected to the demon world, and currently, Nimreth is fighting this demon invasion off."
"Hmm, I can’t say. I don’t understand the writing here, and the runes don’t look like the normal ones."
He nodded. "Have Tessa analyze the information. What’s the other thing you wanted to tell me?"
"Sir, there appears to be a Council of Demons calling the shots. They are the ones the demonic humans work for. I’m seeing a list of names with operations tied to them. It seems that each of them is working on something separate."
"What?! Quickly, give me their names and their operations!" He ordered. "Tessa, make sure to record this."
"Yes, master. The first name is Dravorn. It looks like they’re stationed in Midgard. It doesn’t say which kingdom, though. Their task is to transform Midgard into a demonic haven of some sort, and the first place they had in mind was the Astir Kingdom."
Zion chuckled. "Well, seems like that plan got derailed. I bet that bastard is punching the wall right now. Continue, Helen."
"The second demon’s name is Quorath. This demon is stationed in Nidavellir. Their mission is to make weapons capable of killing the gods."
"Oh, maybe I should just let them do my job." He laughed, glancing at Valindra, who shot him a confused look. He shook his head, telling her not to worry about what he was talking about.
"The third name is Orvyn. This demon is in the Cernunnos. Their goal is to destroy the barrier placed by the gods using the Nexus Energy Pool located there. Master, this is some serious stuff. We should alert the other kingdoms." Helen warned
Zion thought about it for a bit. He knew about the Nexus Energy Pool and how important it was to the beastmen. But more than that, he knew that it was the ONLY place in the world where the three worlds connected. Because of that, the energy there was off the charts, making it one of the best places in the world to cultivate. However, it would also be a weakness if war between the worlds became a thing, as it was the easiest place to enter from. Thankfully, the divine barrier stopped invasions from happening, but if it was corrupted, then high-ranking demons or even stronger ones could pass between the worlds.
"Alert our team there and have them be on standby. We don’t need to cause unnecessary panic at this moment. We’ll monitor the situation closely and document anything that looks out of place." He concluded
"Understood. The next name is Xalvorn. This demon is stationed in the Elven Kingdom, and its goal is to corrupt the spirits there, forcing them into submission while finding a passageway to the spirit world. The information also states that they are trying to corrupt the world tree so they can poison the world. I don’t understand what that means, but it sounds bad."
Zion turned to Valindra to see how bad this could be. "Hey, babe, how bad would it be if the world tree suddenly dies?"
"Why are you asking me such a question?" She wondered, sitting on his bed.
"Just answer the question."
She furrowed her brows. "Well, if the world tree suddenly died, then all the mana in the world would take a huge hit. What I mean is that the mana concentration will decrease rapidly, to the point where it would be hard to even cast spells."
"And why is that?" He asked
"Because the roots of the world tree encompass the entire world. It’s not called the world tree for nothing. Mana is in nature and will always be in nature, but the world tree was the first EVER tree planted by the gods, so it amplifies the mana in the world by hundreds of times. Even more than that in fact. Basically, if the world tree dies, say goodbye to cultivation."
"Oh, so we’ll be fucked is what you’re saying."
"Pretty much." She nodded
"Fuckkkk. Helen, what about the last name on the list? This demon will be in the dragon kingdom, right?"
"Uhh, yes, this demon’s name is Zynoth, and they are stationed in Hylaea. It appears that their mission is to enslave the dragon race because they are the only race in the middle world that can actually pose a threat."
"Fucking bitch ass demons. What about the ancient relics?"
"Yes, their secondary mission is to locate the ancient relics as well."
"Fuck! Everything keeps getting more and more complicated. Thanks Helen. Inform everything and speed up our plans. I want the holy city of light to finish construction within six months. Have every team work overtime and report back anything, and I mean anything that looks, seems, or smells suspicious. Also, tell my mom and aunt everything so they can make preparations."
"Understood."
Zion hung up the call and sighed heavily while rubbing his eyes.
"What’s going on?" Valindra asked, walking closer to Zion.
He stared at her, caught in the pull of her green eyes as they met his own. Her long blonde hair danced in the breeze drifting through the open window, sunlight catching every strand. She was beautiful—more beautiful than Zion cared to admit, even to himself.
"You’re so beautiful." He muttered, resting his hand on her cheek and leaning in for a kiss.
"Z-Zion, wait! What are you-"
But it was too late. Zion’s lips found hers, and he kissed her with a hunger that overwhelmed him. The tension, the pressure that had been coiling inside him for days, melted away in the heat of that kiss. As his arms drew her closer, passion surged through him, silencing the world until only Valindra remained.
She kissed Zion back, eager to satisfy the curiosity—and the simmering desire—that had been building inside her. But even as their lips met, she knew she didn’t want things to go further. Not yet. In truth, she wasn’t even sure she liked him.
Sure, he was the most handsome man she’d ever met—but they barely knew each other, and she was only using him as a way out of a marriage she had no intention of accepting. And yet, despite every reason to keep her distance, her body ached for him, driven by a desire she couldn’t explain.
’Fuck it!’ She thought to herself as she jumped into Zion’s arms, his hands holding her ass as they continued to make out lustfully.
