[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 335: A Waste
Aron too caught sight of Eden. And as soon as he saw Eden getting up to his feet, he turned and took off.
Aron left the refectory, and Eden soon followed. Helen sat there watching the two of them leave. She didn’t bother going after them; she simply continued her meal.
---
"Wait, stop—" Eden said as he came to stand in front of Aron. The two of them were now outside.
"You..." Eden panted, both hands on his knees as he looked up at Aron. "Why are you running away? Why are you hiding?"
Aron said nothing; he simply adjusted his glasses.
"I helped you..." Eden stood firmly. "Shouldn’t you at least be grateful... Say thank you? Maybe?"
Aron stared at him for a while before he said, "Thanks. Now can you leave me alone?"
"..." Eden raised his eyebrows. He guessed he wasn’t so friendly or social. "What’s up with the cold response?"
"Can you... perhaps leave me alone? I don’t want any attention. I just want to stay quietly and alone. But you’re not helping matters at all."
Eden blinked. "Well. Then if you want me to leave you alone, you’ll have to be honest with me and come clean."
"What do you mean by that?" Aron inquired.
Eden folded his arms. "I know who you are. I know you’re from another world and you are the author of this work. I already know. So you can quit acting and let’s have some serious discussions."
"..."
Aron blinked. "Huh?"
Eden scoffed. "You don’t have to play dumb with me. I already know. So let’s drop the act and have a conversation."
"I really don’t know what you’re talking about. Another world? Author? What the hell are you talking about?"
Eden was strangely good at reading people, so he could tell that he wasn’t lying with that expression. Or maybe Aron was too good at lying?!
"You’re lying. You’re the one, and I know it’s you. You’re from the real world and you’re the author of this world. So I’ll need you to drop the act and help me get out of this world."
But Aron’s expression grew more confused. "I really don’t understand what you’re talking about... Are you sure you’re okay?"
Eden panicked. Did he get the wrong person all this while??
"Then how did you know what I wrote in that poster I made and come to that venue that time? Only someone who is from that world could possibly know..." He insisted.
Aron sighed. "That? I don’t even know what the hell was written there. I only know that someone sent me a strange message to meet them there. So I went there but didn’t see the person and left," he explained.
Eden felt everything he knew crumbling. "Huh?"
"Yes. That’s what happened. So I don’t know what you’re talking about. And I’m not the one you’re looking for. So can you please... leave me alone?"
He explained further about how he got the message anonymously and all.
After speaking, Aron didn’t waste much time. He was soon gone, and Eden stood there staring into thin air.
So all this time, he’d been wasting his time with the wrong person?!
---
Eden was exhausted the whole day. The next day he was sitting by the practice ground along with Helen and Lenny, who lay there.
He explained the current situation to the two of them while lamenting how confusing the situation had gotten.
"At this point, I don’t know how next to find this person. Because I think it’s obvious at this point that the author knows me... but is doing everything to avoid being found," he explained.
Lenny shrugged. "Fair enough. He even sent someone else to meet you. He definitely knows what he’s doing."
Eden sighed. "What do we do now? I mean... We can’t possibly drop another hint. I’ve been wasting my time going after someone who isn’t even the person..."
"But... what if he’s lying? I mean, he could be a good liar. What if he is the author or at least knows the author?"
Eden thought about that and simply sighed. "I don’t think he’s the one. He doesn’t seem like he’s lying," he explained.
They were silent for a while.
Helen thought before she said, "I mean, why don’t we just find the letter? Or get the letter from him—the anonymous one. We could get something from that."
Lenny nodded. "Yeah. That makes sense."
Eden ran a hand over his jaw. "That’s true. But it’s probably with Aron. And I don’t think he’s going to even want to speak with me at all, much less hand me a letter. He probably hates me and told me to stay away."
"You don’t have to meet him for it, though," Helen said. "I think you could go and find it when he’s not around. Maybe in his room or something? I don’t know."
Eden nodded with a smile. "Ah! That makes more sense. We could find it in his classroom or in his room. These are the two places he’d likely have it in."
Helen nodded as they made a plan on how to go about it.
"By evening today, everyone would be out practicing. And no one would be in the dorms or even in class. So we could take that opportunity and go search for the letter. It hasn’t been so long, so I don’t think he’s discarded it. Especially since he doesn’t know who it’s from. He’d at least be smart enough to want to find out who it’s from?" Helen suggested.
Lenny nodded. "True. And if we can’t find it anywhere, then we can come to two conclusions: he discarded it, which is most unlikely, or that he’s lying and he didn’t get any letter at all and knows something instead."
Eden nodded. "Fair enough. Let’s do that. Hopefully before the end of today, we can arrive at something." He smiled as he stared at the two of them.
They all nodded in agreement.
