[BL] Seducing Male Leads To Survive As A Villain In A Novel-Chapter 313: The Emperor
The man and the people around were stunned by his boldness. Even Helen was too.
"How dare you... You should follow the rules and don’t ask questions." the man snapped at Eden.
"I don’t follow dumb rules that don’t apply to all but only to a disadvantaged class. It’s unfair and stupid," Eden was plain with his words.
"The audacity!" The man slammed his hand against the table as he got up to his feet, pointing at Eden.
Everyone was now looking in their direction, curious.
"What?" Eden raised an eyebrow. He knew he wouldn’t use his powers anyway, at least not openly. He didn’t wish to, so he didn’t get busted.
Before the man spoke, another soldier came and calmed him down. Then he turned to Eden. "Young man, you really have a lot to say today. You’re just new—aren’t you scared of your word choices?"
Eden smiled. "Well, I would be if I wasn’t in a system that promotes the protection of the safety and rights of all. The grand Imperial Military Academy. If the interest of the people isn’t in our hearts, and if classism runs wild, then I don’t know what morals I’d be learning here. Isn’t that so?"
The soldier smiled. "Good then. Well said. Go in and rest for the day."
Eden was relieved that it didn’t go further than that. He casually smiled with a slight bow of respect. "Thanks for your wisdom."
And so he and Helen made their way into the Academy—the grand and exquisite-looking Academy.

The Imperial Palace was grand. Even more grand than the Royal Palace of Valencrest. It was huge and purely made of gold in most places. Vibrant-looking and royal in every way possible.
It was quite a sight.
Inside the Imperial Palace, the Emperor sat on his throne—leisurely.
He had just finished a meeting with his court and they dispersed. And so he sat there alone for a while before the guards came to announce the arrival of someone.
"Let him in," he said in a casual tone. The Emperor looked like one in his fifties. He didn’t look young, but wasn’t old at all either.
In his royal robe, he sat there as the Grand Priest of Elzager came to stand before him. He stared down at him, watching as the priest bowed.
"Greetings, My Emperor," Priest Albert greeted with a solemn bow.
The Emperor stared at him without saying anything for a while.
"You called for me," Priest Albert said.
"And how’s it coming? It’s been long now and I’m still waiting for what I asked from you?" He stared at the priest. "You should know that I’m already getting impatient."
Priest Albert knew what he was talking about and so he instantly bowed in apology. "I’m sorry for my incompetence. I’m working on it... but it doesn’t seem easy. I mean I’ve mined in most places, so looking for more spaces to mine from is... hard..."
"I don’t care about the process, I just need the results. So make sure you hasten up. I’ve been waiting long enough. I don’t need replenishment anymore. I need the real stuff."
"The real stuff..." Priest Albert shuddered. "That will be harder..."
"You’ve been saying that for ages. I don’t care. Find a way to hasten it up. I’m already getting impatient here. Understood? Else I’ll just declare you useless to me, kill you off, and find another means."
"I’ll work towards it," Priest Albert said. "I’ll make sure I work as fast as possible so you get what you want..." He didn’t even look up at the Emperor as he spoke. It was pretty obvious he was scared of him.
The Emperor cleared his throat. "Make sure of that. I’m already tired as it stands."
He added, "Plus, I still haven’t punished you for the mess you made the last time. For the lost mission... so you shouldn’t even provoke me."
The priest bowed in silence as the Emperor rolled his eyes. "I can’t believe you just mess everything up. It was a well-calculated plan. That stupid King Edward had fallen for all my setup and believed he was ahead of everyone... he had summoned you to catch the Wizard of El."
"All you had to do was catch him. But you messed it up, got beaten up, and let him off. You messed up my whole brilliant plan," he sighed.
"I’m sorry..." Priest Albert said. He had been apologising for days.
The Emperor stared at him and rolled his eyes. "What do I even do with you? Useless. Now all my efforts of setting up a marriage for the Princess just to catch that bastard are useless. I have to come up with something..."
He sighed as he said, "What about your precious son? It seems you found him there with the Wizard?" He smiled at the priest. "You must’ve been scared when you saw it. So? What happened?"
"Nothing... I just separated them and brought him back with me. He’s still unconscious as we speak..." the priest said as the Emperor laughed.
"I can picture the shock on your face when you saw it. For a while you thought all you worked for was going to go down the hill," he sighed. "But that doesn’t matter; you should have let him go with the Wizard. We could have used him to get the Wizard. He could be useless, but you chose to bring him here."
"Not my son... Please, let me protect my son from all this... I’ll work harder, but... please don’t get my son involved."
The Emperor stared at him and laughed. "Pathetic. How can he not be involved when things are already like this? You’re just being delusional. When he wakes up, bring him here. I want to take a look at your lovely son and ask questions."
The priest shivered, but the Emperor said, "Am I understood? Or are you going against me?"
"I... I will do as you say..." Priest Albert shuddered.
