[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 54: Visit His Parents
As previously discussed, Arcane decided to go see Julian’s parents and talk about their relationship. He knew Julian’s parents would be very surprised to hear that they were married, but he would explain everything to them.
"Are you sure about that? They could be very surprised if they find out. I can’t even imagine the look on their faces," said Julian.
"I’ll handle this. As your husband, I will be responsible for whatever reaction your parents give. Like Hans said, I just need to show that I’m serious about this relationship and will take responsibility for everything about you," he replied, gently stroking Julian’s head.
Julian himself couldn’t do anything. He tried to prepare himself for whatever his parents would say. But clearly, he would also help Arcane talk to them and explain his current situation.
He hoped his parents would understand and see how much effort Arcane had put in.
Since they couldn’t find a long enough vacation and the trip to Julian’s hometown took 5 hours, Arcane decided to leave that night after he finished teaching.
"Are you ready? It’s already 6:15 p.m. We can get there at midnight or around 1:00 a.m.," asked Arcane as he put their belongings in the trunk of the car.
"Are you sure it’s okay for us to leave now? You must be tired from teaching all day, and now you’ll be driving for almost 5 hours to get to my parents’ house?"
The man was actually a little hesitant about the idea, which was for Arcane to drive on Friday afternoon so they would have time until Sunday afternoon before returning to the big city.
Arcane wanted Julian to be able to spend two days at his house with his parents. If they left on Saturday and returned on Sunday, it would be too short for Julian to be with them.
He even thought about it without considering his own fatigue, having to drive at night for Julian’s sake.
"I don’t mind. I’m used to staying up all night to prepare math materials. Just think of this as the same thing I usually do," replied the red haired man as he got into the driver’s seat.
They headed to the small town, which was quite far away and had no other transportation besides land routes. Only buses usually served as transportation from that small town to other cities.
Although there was a train, it didn’t have a schedule to go to that town after 5:00 PM.
During the trip, Arcane played music so he wouldn’t get bored or sleepy, while Julian was busy with his snacks. He hoped he could drive the car and replace Arcane if he got sleepy in the middle of the night, but even before midnight, Julian had already fallen asleep.
"11:20 PM... We should be arriving soon if we’re following the directions on this map correctly," Arcane muttered, glancing at the map in the car that was guiding them down a quiet, dark road.
His green eyes then turned to Julian, who was lying in the back seat with a blanket covering his body. He looked very peaceful, making it impossible for Arcane to wake him up even though they were sure to arrive soon.
He tried to remember Julian’s parents’ house number and address correctly, as the man had told him. And at exactly 12:13 a.m., he finally found the house.
"We’re finally here, I have to wake him up..."
The man got out of the car and woke Julian up in the back seat. Julian woke up, surprised that he had fallen fast asleep and now they had arrived in front of his parents’ house.
He was impressed that Arcane could find his house using the address he had given him.
"You found it so easily! That’s amazing," he praised his husband while rubbing his still sleepy eyes.
"I can handle someone like you. Finding an address is much easier than that." Arcane opened the trunk and took out their belongings to carry them to the front door.
Julian got out of the car, wrapped in a blanket, and walked towards the door. He knocked on his parents’ door, hoping they would hear him and open it.
Knock knock
"Dad, Mom... It’s me, Julian..." he said, half asleep.
It didn’t take long for the door to open, revealing a man with green hair just like Julian’s. The difference was that the man already had some gray in his hair and looked older.
"Julian? Oh, my son Julian is home!" Without further ado, he immediately hugged his son with a happy smile on his face and a voice so loud that it could wake up the neighbors.
"MEGARA! OUR SON IS HOME!" he exclaimed.
From inside the house, the sound of footsteps could be heard running quickly toward the front door, and this time a middle aged woman who still looked very beautiful and young ran toward them.
"Ohhh my baby! You’re finally home. I missed you so much!" Megara hugged her son happily because after Julian left for the big city a year ago, they had not seen each other again until today.
They only communicated by phone, because Julian was worried his parents would find out about his previous fake marriage. But now he had returned home with Arcane to introduce him to his parents.
"Mom and Dad! I miss you both so much too!" Julian immediately burst into tears in his parents’ arms because he missed them so much every day.
But he was too afraid to go home because he hadn’t found a job like he had promised when he left.
Arcane could only stand behind him, watching how Julian’s parents missed their son so much. His hands were folded in front of his chest, a faint smile on his handsome face as he watched their happiness.
Though honestly, there was a hint of jealousy within him, as he had never experienced such a moment in his life. Especially since his mother was no longer alive and his father didn’t even know of his existence.
But he was already overjoyed to see his husband in his parents’ embrace once more. He felt that seeing this kind of view was enough for him.
"As long as he’s happy, I don’t mind seeing all this every day."
