[BL] Debut in Interstellar After Retiring as Grim Reaper-Chapter 265 - 263: A Fallen Star
Chapter 263: A Fallen Star
Pei Roujin’s journey to where he stands today has long been admired by many. He came from a humble background and also started from everything.
Personal assistant, propsman, stuntman— Pei Roujin entered it before taking a step to be in front of the camera. And he also didn’t start in a big role but rather from the smallest one.
His endless hard work inspired many and also for his good personality and skills. It’s safe to say that Pei Roujin is indeed one of the stars that can truly be admirable unlike many.
Even with the people talking bad about him, what everyone sees in front and behind the camera were proven real. That is why many believed for his bright future ahead.
Yet who would have thought that a rising star like him would end up this way?
And it was not even from an accident or a purposeful murder but rather a self-implication.
How could someone who has a bright future chose to end his life this way? How hatred or desperation has he felt for himself to not continue living?
What pushed Pei Roujin to end his life? How much damage did it cause that he was able to leave without hesitation?
There are many questions left but from what happened to his life recently, it was obvious where this led to.
Pei Roujin couldn’t bear to live after the truth came out.

On the other side, while the company was left to handle Pei Roujin’s case, Qin An and others were brought back to the training camp to settle with the two souls, Pei Roujin and Pei Rouyao.
"Should I go with you?" Gu Yijin who had been silently following him asked quietly when Qin An asked for a separate room to Director Qian.
Qin An looked at the young man. From the beginning to end, he wasn’t able to see the latter’s expression after his identity was revealed. For sure Gu Yijin had some clues about how peculiar he was but since he was busy, he didn’t notice it. Other than that, he was too quiet and was just following along. Gu Yijin couldn’t even see anything like souls.
He wasn’t even sure if the young man had already processed everything he saw.
"Okay," but he agreed anyway.
Gu Yijin paused and smiled a bit. "Thank you, Qin An."

"I will still choose this."
These were Pei Roujin’s words after appeasing his sister. The little girl was now laying her head on her brother’s lap after a round of crying and he was caressing his sister’s hair while continuing his words to the young man in front.
"I want to accompany my sister."
"... What about them?" Qin An asked.
Pei Roujin couldn’t answer immediately.
Was there a moment of regret after remembering his fans?
There was. Absolutely.
Pei Roujin was accompanied by the people who trusted him with all their hearts. That was his salvation to continue living. They were his last straw.
Yet he didn’t choose to stay till the end.
He can still remember during those days when he was able to meet some of them from a random encounter. There are some people who took that as a chance to be enthusiastic but there are also fans who greeted him but within a polite distance.
Some of them would take that chance to say thank you.
Thanking him for saving them.
Pei Roujin didn’t understand it but he could feel their sincerity. They told him that he played a certain role with justice and was able to deliver the right emotions to move them somehow.
The characters he played were brought to life that inspires them to do and decide on many things.
Whenever Pei Roujin heard about it, he would feel butterflies softly flying inside his stomach. His heart felt light and the exhausted brows softened.
He began realizing something very important.
He was not insignificant.
He was not just a tool for them but a person who carries the soul of a character that became part of their life.
Pei Roujin used that as a motivation to work harder and every time he heard it, he was truly delighted.
But what happened now? He chose to leave without hesitation.
"I want to say sorry though..." He smiled bitterly.
He wants to say sorry for not choosing them this time. Pei Roujin is truly grateful for their genuine hearts, but he couldn’t let go.
He couldn’t bear to not stay with the little girl that stayed with him silently too.
His sister was too scared and lonely, and as her brother he wanted to accompany her even in death.
Pei Roujin listened to Rouyao’s persuasion earlier and said she wasn’t scared at all and even happy because she wouldn’t be seen by their father anymore but he knew better than anyone else.
Pei Rouyao is too young, how could her young self cover up the fear in her eyes?
He just knew that she was doing this for him.
This may even sound unfair to the fans but he just wanted to choose the little girl. There was nothing wrong choosing his own family, right?
So he could only apologize for being such a jerk and left them with such heartache.

Since there was no use of doing anything anymore, Qin An asked them where they chose to leave this world and Pei Roujin asked for a favor.
He wanted to wait until everything was settled from the impact of his doing.
While they got busy with that, their training continued.
As they practiced again for the group performance and took a short break, Qin An was just about to go look for Director Qian again when he noticed something strange with the staff assistant that was accompanying him to go to the staffroom.
The latter was not walking properly and he seemed to be looking around sneakily.
Qin An paused for a second and that’s when he realized what was wrong. Because he was distracted by the practice his mind became preoccupied and only right now did he notice the faint familiar black smoke resentment hovering around him.
It was clear that he got possessed from an earlier time already.
Qin An’s eyes squinted a bit.
The ghost seems to just possess the assistant staff just a moment ago and it even looks like he wasn’t used to it because of how unfamiliar she controls the limbs. He also looked a bit uncomfortable and he was sneakily looking around with a hint of curiosity.
He observed him for a while but found only a faint resentment around him, which meant that he didn’t die because of something unfair. There was no hatred and he looked even like a genuine soul who was only curious about the body he possessed.
But whatever it is, Qin An has to stop it anyway.
"Excuse me, can you join me inside? I’m not comfortable being with myself waiting," Qin An asked.
If it was a normal staff, they wouldn’t believe that someone like him would feel uncomfortable going alone, instead they knew he was like that otherwise.
But the latter flinched a bit and agreed without hesitation.
Qin An even opened the door and signalled him to go inside face while he locked eyes with Director Qian who was about to call him.
He closed the door and didn’t hesitate to break his disguise anymore.
"Wjo are you?"
The staff pretended to be shocked. "Huh? Classmate Qin what are you saying?"
"Come out," he said directly.
He flinches and tries to deny it. "What came out? Do you want me to leave the room? Then why did you even ask for a company earlier?"
"I said come out," his voice went sharp.
"I—" He was about to say something but froze when he happened to meet the young man’s eyes.
It was staring straight at ’her’.
He was dumbfounded and wanted to deny again but the latter’s eyes became colder and sharp. Even he could feel this body’s heart beating quickly so he flinched.
"Do you want me to invite you again, Young lady?"
Young lady?! Since when did this body become a girl? The ghost inside was dumbfounded at Qin An’s words but also understood.
He’s calling for her.
Since when did he? Since when can he?!
Leaving with no choice from Qin An’s intimidating aura, the soul inside forced herself out from the body.
The assistant’s staff quickly softened and Qin An assisted him to sit down and lost consciousness.
"What are you doing here?" Qin An asked.
"O-Oh! You can really see me!" The young girl was truly surprised and wanted to ask for more but Qin An just looked at her so she had no chance but to answer honestly.
"I-I want to see Brother Pei."
Pei Roujin? Qin An was surprised. "What are you going to do?"
"Uhh... I’m Brother’s fan. And I want to accompany him."
"..." Qin An was stunned.
Accompany?
