But then an accident happened, knowledge came alive, unspeakable illusions were born, and they became the masters of Candlefort.
This essentially cut off the inheritance, making it difficult for others to enter and browse the ancient secret scrolls.
Moreover, for the Wizard Path to advance to Great Mage, a lot of mysterious knowledge sealed within Candlefort is needed. Without opening Candlefort, many advancement professions beyond basic ones are hard to initiate.
"The Zhen Dan remnants are attacking the Land of Chaos."
At the top of the conference table, an elder with a long white beard scanned the crowd, his gaze pausing momentarily on Shawn, and slowly said, "They have already opened up the Elemental Chaos."
"They have established a forward base."
"We cannot wait any longer either."
A lot of significant events have happened during this period.
The Great Druids of the Path of Nature have opened the Dream Forest, and Transcendents of other paths can enter that plane through dream rituals. The Shaman of the Northern Icefield are searching for Ancient Spirits, about which Shawn is not very clear, but it should be a kind of naturally born existence, materialized consciousness of natural concepts. In the Mountainous Country of the south, the Earth Prophet of the highlanders has already found the Fallen God’s Remains, or rather they have known where it was for a long time but only now began to excavate.
The laws of the Realm of Reality are slowly assimilating with the Bizarre Realm, a great era is quietly beginning, and if one does not wish to sit and wait for their doom, they must take the initiative to strike.
The Tower of Knowledge has aspired to reclaim Candlefort for nearly a thousand years.
Shawn was invited to participate in this meeting of the eight major schools, partly because of his considerable strength, as a half-plane Mage, he absolutely qualifies to sit at the conference table, and also because he represents Lady Hecate. The sages of the Tower of Knowledge hope to gain the help of the Death Demigod.

The gaze of several Great Sages fell upon Shawn, while Shawn remained silent, merely gently stroking the ring he wore.
A Witch King’s Ring, symbolizing the authority of Abyss City.
A Witch Lich Ring, symbolizing the rank of the Path of Death.
After a long time, Shawn pondered for a moment, then slowly spoke: "If the Tower of Knowledge is prepared to reclaim Candlefort, the teacher will provide some assistance."
"But after opening Candlefort?"
"Who will deal with the Lord of Shadows? Those deranged and twisted ancient scholars, aren’t they all of Angel Rank now? Do any of you here have a way to deal with Them?"
"And the Great Detective- Morty Laine, Blade Dancer, Devourer Lord, Dusk Scroll, Iron Maiden, and so on."
"These unspeakable illusions aren’t so easy to deal with."
What Shawn has been clearing these past days are the aberrations of flesh, but besides those, there are also unspeakable illusions and the world’s hatred.
Unspeakable illusions reside in the Spirit Realm, and they are the hardest type of monster to deal with.
Lady Hecate’s meaning is simple, if we fight, it can be done, but the Path of Death can only provide partial assistance, they have too many internal messes to handle, leaving no room for a full-scale assault on Candlefort. If it’s a forceful attack, the difficulty is no less than conquering a Divine Kingdom, with at least a dozen Angel Rank evil objects, and countless unspeakable illusions, along with the mad Wizard’s Souls of the Path of Knowledge.
The leading elder was silent for a moment, gazing at Shawn and slowly said, "Then what is Lady Hecate’s intention?"
Shawn calmly said, "Steal!"
At the long table on Shawn’s right, a scholar’s projection said, "How to steal? Who can steal?"
Shawn shook his head and said, "I don’t know."
"But you must at least first find a Legendary Thief with Shadow and Theft domains, we can help distract the enemy, divert some of the illusions, but to sneak into the depths of Candlefort, only the most elite Wanderer can do it."
At least a level 25 Wanderer, High Tier Legendary destiny powerhouse, who possesses the Shadow and Theft domains, can possibly steal the Dark Secret Scroll from Candlefort.
The sages present looked at each other, frowning in thought, pondering if they knew such a Legendary Thief within their network.
Shawn calmly stood up and said, "If you can find a suitable candidate, then we will discuss the next step of the plan."
"Otherwise."
"Now is not the time to open Candlefort." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Shawn naturally desires the mysterious knowledge within Candlefort, but the problem is, it’s filled with too many unspeakable illusions, and with the complete activation of the Knowledge Law, Candlefort is full of monsters and demons.
He walked out of the tower.
Upon leaving the tower, Shawn gently wiped the Witch Lich Ring on his finger, silently thought to himself, "Teacher, the matter is settled."
Moments later, a calm female voice sounded: "I know."
Shawn turned to look at the tower behind him, donned a black cloak, and walked toward the distant library, his visit to the Tower of Knowledge was partly due to Lady Hecate’s mission, and partly for his own further studies.
In the eight major spell schools for Casters, apart from Necromancy School, the other seven schools all have heritage here.
Although Shawn is not truly an Undead Wizard, he can learn most of the knowledge from Lady Hecate, but the focus remains the Necromancy School. He himself is a Caster of the Universal School, meaning he has no specialized schools, so he must complete his knowledge of the mysterious schools.
The more knowledge the better.
Shawn’s Path of Destiny is partly about spreading knowledge, and partly about accumulating knowledge himself, the latter even being more important than the former.
He still has one last opportunity to visit the ’Knowledge’ domain.
Shawn at this moment has a very strong feeling that once he completes his Path of Destiny, he will likely encounter a ’familiar entity’ again.
Because it always wants to ’eat’ Shawn’s brain.
