Birth Of The Crafts-God-Chapter 411: The Big Reveal
The entrance to the building was opened, revealing a sixty meters long corridor that led to the exhibition hall.
As the hosts for the event, Maessen and Latino led the crowd into the corridor while introducing some of the exhibits that were on the display in the hall at the other end.
"The Silver Star Exhibition Show isn't just to display the products from the joint venture between the Silverine Factory and the Seven Stars Springs Dealership. It is also to showcase the new products that will officially be on sale at the dealership in the next few days from now." Altimo said.
There was a crowd of roughly three hundred individuals who followed closely right after them. Most of the people in the crowd were all C-level executives of top companies, government officials, or reputable faction heads. They subconsciously arranged themselves according to their ranks, with the discharged city lord in the lead. Right beside him were the two top four family heads in attendance, Henrik and Russell.
Behind them were the leading figures of their families, CEOs and Presidents of top corporations. There were also some other highly ranked family heads that were just below the top four families, like the head of the Bernáté family —which was nicknamed the Vice family due to their astonishing record of raising deputy city lords and secretaries. The Oder family however, was not in attendance for obvious reasons.
After this category were the other renowned guests present for this event.
"The Seven Stars Springs Dealership will be launching 8 new products into the market, all targeted at various sectors of the consumer industry."
As Altimo spoke projections lit up in the corridor. Like PowerPoint presentations, the displays were a summarized presentation for the group.
The Legacy Crafts Dealership, that Lucas had worked under before, stood out in the market by selling vestiges that could transform. These were vestiges that could both be used as either a cold-type or hot-type weapons. Originally, the Seven Stars Springs Dealership wanted to bring in this design, but even though the contract had been broken off between Lucas and the Legacy Crafts dealership, it still wouldn't be enough for the Seven Stars Springs Dealership to stand out. On the contrary, it would just make them seem like a second generation copy of the Legacy Crafts Dealership.
As such, Lucas had worked on eight new products to be launched with the SSS Dealership alongside the original SS (Seven Sparks) vestiges.
"Of the consumer markets we will be covering, one of them is the weapons industry."
None of the guests were surprised by this as the most profitable market in the vestige industry was none other than the weapons industry.
"The first products we will be launching falls under this industry. It will be called Grand Punisher; a successor to the Seven Sparks Forge's creation, the Adjudicator."
Following that, the projections all changed to show a tubular item with a diameter of half a meter (1.6 feet). At one end of the cylinder was a small structure that looked like a box, but with soft vertices.
This was the Grand Punisher.
It was designed based on the Adjudicator; an anti-desolate beast weapon that was suitable for large-sized desolate beasts, at least twice the size of an adult hyuman or up to three meters tall.
The Grand Punisher was the successor to the Adjudicator with its firepower increased while still maintaining the same usage limits. In other words, it was a peak Grade 3 vestige that could be used by a Body Strengthening stage practitioner. To display its full power though, apart from using the appropriate rounds, one would have to at least be a peak first level stellar practitioner. Even then, this was still incredible.
The revelation of the Grand Punisher made many astonished, not because of its power but because the predecessor of the Grand Punisher —the Adjudicator— relied on the modified stellar processors, or the SS V1 chips.
Since the Grand Punisher was modelled after it, it was only natural for the crowd to think that it was also powered by a stellar processor. And with the rumours going on earlier, one couldn't help but think whether it was the new stellar processor.
Someone in the crowd couldn't hold back anymore and raised this question to Altimo.
"Indeed. The Grand Punisher is powered by a stellar processor. However, this is only the modified version of the Silverine Factory's Garland, which you can call Springfield. It's nothing special."
This reply immediately set off a wave of murmurs among the crowd. Although there were rumours of a new stellar processor, many had speculated it to simply be a modified version of the Garland —the Silverine Factory's flagship stellar processors.
According to analysts and professionals, the modified Garland would only be able to perform, at best, on par with the SS V1 chip. This was an incredible achievement and performance rate which would have easily stolen a significant percentage of the market share; but, this was the opinion just before the Versailles Group's Exposition Banquet where they announced the Falcon X9: Yotsuga.
Although the Yotsuga was still in production while the Springfield was already ready for sale, no one wanted to offend the Versailles Group. After all, the Versailles Group would soon be controlling the stellar processor market and maybe possibly the future space travel industry.
Now that the expectations of the modified Garland, or Springfield, was proven, it disappointed those who had heard of the rumours of a new stellar processor. Some already lost interest in this exhibition and were considering departing. After all, the main reason they arrived today was to receive firsthand news of the stellar processor under production.
However, there was still a significant proportion of the crowd who noticed something from Altimo's words.
Based on the words and tone used, it was clear that Altimo thought nothing of the Springfield. One might think this was because the Yotsuga that was earlier announced was taken as the peak standard, and with the Springfield dialing to reach such standards, it was natural for him to be down hearted. But this group didn't believe that was the reason. In fact, they firmly believed that the stellar processor rumoured to be under production wasn't the Springfield. Instead, the Springfield was just an appetizer for the market, right before the main dish.
However, despite these suspicions, none of them asked the question in their head. They simply kept quiet and proceeded on wards, hoping that someone in the crowd would lose their patience and leave. That way, the competition would reduce if they were right.
This was how the business world was; a world where one profited at the cost of another.
After the Grand Punisher, Altimo introduced two other vestiges in the weapons category, adding up to a total of three.
One of the two was spear that could transform into a halberd. It was also capable of firing projectiles and improving external stellar energy control.
The second weapon was a pair gauntlets meant for close combat. However, it wasn't a simple pair of gauntlets. The weapon was equipped with nano technology, enabling it to expand into an armour that covered the body. While the gauntlets themselves were a peak Grade 3 vestige, the expandable body armour was equivalent to a peak Grade 2 vestige. It was meant to act as under armour while a practitioner dons on a battlesuit.
The gauntlets got the attention of the guests because not many of them had seen nanotechnology utilized in such a fashion.
The usual trend was to have a 'core' which contained most of the nano bots. It was usually a piece of equipment that didn't possess much of a function except serving as a hub for the nano bots, due to its fragile form. When the core was activated, the nano bots would take on the fixed form.
However, the new vestige broke off from this logic. First off, the core was now a vestige. What's more, it was a vestige that could be used for offense and defense. Also, the vestige core operated separately from the nano bots. This implied that the pair of gauntlets was actually a 2-in-1 vestige. Such a weapon would add more flexibility to a combatant's fighting style.
Some of the senior executives and top faction members who had some field experience, began to see the value of the gauntlets right away.
Even without the release of a new stellar processor, the three new vestiges as well as the revival of the SS vestiges were enough to put the Seven Stars Springs Dealership on the map. Even the Springfield stellar processor was capable of changing the status quo in the market to their advantage.
This was because the Falcon X9: Yotsuga was still under production and won't be released until the next few months. The BKY chip, which was a revamped version of the KY chip, was worse off as it still needed to await the construction of the new medium-scale factory before it could be put into production. During this period, the Springfield could easily become the top selling product in the market.
With just a high-end stellar processor and an impressive range of vestiges, the Seven Stars Springs Dealership would definitely become a top dealership within a few months.
Despite all that, there were still five more products to be announced.
