Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 774 - 646: Isn’t it as Good as Before? (Part 1)_2
Yi Luowa glanced at the time, "I have to pick up the kids—three of them. He can’t handle it by himself."
"You’re not annoyed with him anymore?" Huo Li saw her stand up and grabbed her hand, smiling.
Yi Luowa gave her a helpless look, "Annoyed! Picking up the kids doesn’t mean I’m going to see him."
"Then go ahead, haha..."
Yi Luowa shot her a glare and walked out the door.
When she arrived at the Divine Eagle Courtyard, Yi Luowa looked at the office building and pressed harder on the gas pedal as she drove in.
Tong Airui showed up with two guards to pick up the kids, but Yi Luowa had already gotten all three children out.
Seeing his wife, Fourth Master smiled, "Darling, when did you get here?"
"..."
Fourth Master leaned closer to her and whispered, "Darling, give me some face—so many people are watching."
Yi Luowa glanced at him sideways, "Just got here."
"Darling, should the kids ride in your car or mine?"
"Doesn’t matter whose car they ride in." Yi Luowa looked at the three children, "Who do you want to ride with?"
"Mom!" Zi Xi said, climbing into his mom’s car first.
Seeing his daughter about to climb in too, Tong Airui quickly picked her up and helped her in.
Yi Luowa walked around to the other side and carried Pengpeng into the car.
Watching his wife, Fourth Master busied himself and then slid into the passenger seat with a quick motion.
Yi Luowa pressed her lips into a smile and got into the driver’s seat.
Seeing the smile on his wife’s face, Fourth Master grinned and leaned closer, "No more anger, huh?"
Yi Luowa reached out and pushed his face away, "Go sit in the back."
"Why?" Tong Airui was stunned.
Yi Luowa frowned slightly, "Go to the back and watch those three."
"Oh, oh, I’ll go right now." Fourth Master darted out of the car and sat in the back with the kids.
Yi Luowa started the engine, "Since Pengpeng isn’t a family member’s child but can attend preschool here, then our kids can come too, right?"
Tong Airui nodded repeatedly, "Yes, occasionally they accept kids from outside families. Who wants to come?"
Yi Luowa pursed her lips and didn’t say anything further. At least she hadn’t exaggerated to Huo Li.
After this episode, Fourth Master didn’t dare tease the kids anymore, and the little couple’s days returned to peace.
The three children grew to love preschool more and more, so much so that even on weekends they begged to go. Uncle Che gradually accepted this fact, and when Yuan Hang brought back a few personal bodyguards, Uncle Che was completely at ease.
When Zi Xi was six months old, she was weaned. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Fourth Master’s prank—at that time, Yi Luowa got sick, almost developed pneumonia from the fever, and was hospitalized for several days, so the breastfeeding naturally ended.
On New Year’s Eve, the family received Juster’s wedding invitation. The guy had finally settled his lifelong commitment.
At the wedding, Yi Luowa met Sisana for the first time. She was beautiful, with a gentle demeanor, and looked quite fitting with Juster.
During the banquet, Juster specially introduced Sisana to Yi Luowa and Huo Li. When Sisana heard Yi Luowa’s name, she paused, "Madam Luowa, I’ve heard so much about you."
Yi Luowa smiled faintly, "I’ve heard quite a bit about you too. Congratulations to you and my senior."
Sisana flashed a gentle smile, "You’ve heard of me?" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Joyina is always talking about you; it’s impossible not to know."
Sisana raised her gaze to Juster, "I thought it was you telling Madam Luowa about me."
Juster arched his eyebrows slightly, "Someday I’ll tell you all about the embarrassing stories involving Luowa and Huo Li. Let me bring you to the next table."
Juster tugged her hand and headed to the next table.
Tong Airui slightly curled his lips. It wasn’t just his imagination—he really saw a familiar expression in Sisana’s eyes, one he’d once had himself. Could it be that she also knew what Juster had done for Luowa?
Tong Airui’s suspicions were soon confirmed. On the second day of the wedding, as Yi Luowa’s family prepared to head to Xiawu, Sisana joined Yi Luowa in the car to see them off.
Sisana smiled and held Yi Luowa’s hand tightly, "Thank you for coming to my wedding."
Yi Luowa gripped her hand back, "Thank you? It’s the least we could do. My senior has helped me plenty."
"Luowa, I know being able to marry Juster is all thanks to you."
Yi Luowa was stunned. What did she mean by that?
Sisana smiled faintly, "He said you and Huo Li called him, hoping he could have a home..."
Juster cleared his throat, and Sisana immediately stopped talking.
Tong Airui glanced sideways at him, "If I’d known my wife and Huo Li’s words were this effective, I would’ve had them talk to you ages ago."
"Talking earlier wouldn’t have worked." Yi Luowa chuckled, "If it had been earlier, who knows who my senior would have married? The timing is just right! I like Sisana at first sight."
Sisana laughed and squeezed Yi Luowa’s hand tightly.
At the airport, Juster personally opened Yi Luowa’s car door. Tong Airui gave him a deep look and supported his wife as she stepped out.
Yi Luowa smiled at Juster, "We’re leaving now. When you have time, bring your wife to Xiawu for a visit."
"Sure, when time permits, we’ll go together! But let’s hope your husband won’t kick us out."
Tong Airui wrapped his arm around Yi Luowa’s waist, "You’re my wife’s senior and my third brother’s brother-in-law. I wouldn’t kick you out even if I wanted to!"
Juster laughed, "Then it’s settled! Please go ahead; don’t keep everyone waiting."
Tong Airui nodded, wrapped his arm around Yi Luowa’s shoulder, and boarded the plane.
Juster watched the plane take off quietly before turning back to his car.
Sisana moved in and said with a smile, "Madam Luowa and Duke Airui seem so in love. I feel a bit jealous of them."
Juster shot her a sinister look, "You’ve said too much today!"
Sisana chuckled, "I just mentioned they’re loving—do you have to get mad at me for that?"
Juster snapped sharply, "Watch your mouth!"
Sisana’s eyes dimmed slightly, "Understood."
Juster pinched the bridge of his nose, "What I appreciate about you is your words. Don’t let me down."
Sisana turned her head to look out the window.
Juster reached out and pulled her into his arms, "Since I married you, I’ll be a good husband. Don’t overthink it. The drunken talk that time..."
"You’ve been drunk before?" Sisana turned her gaze to him.
Juster laughed, touching her head, "Doesn’t seem like I ever have."
Sisana chuckled and put her arms around his waist. As long as they were married, she had a chance to warm his heart.
On January 1st, the house became lively again. This year was different from previous ones. To display family harmony, Muta specifically arranged for reporters to film at the palace and the Duke’s residence, capturing video of both families wishing everyone a Happy New Year. This marked Long Che’s first time celebrating New Year at home after becoming Prime Minister.
At 7 p.m., television staff arrived. First, they needed to live broadcast Long Che’s New Year greeting. Long Che led them to the study.
After the cameras were set up, Long Che sat in the leather armchair and began speaking. The room was quiet except for the sound of his voice.
At some point, Zi Xi and Sangyu bent over and snuck into the room. By the time the staff noticed them, they were already next to Long Che.
The staff panicked slightly, but Long Che remained composed in front of the camera and said, "Sorry, speech paused for two minutes. My grandson and granddaughter are eager to wish everyone Happy New Year."
Uncle Che reached out and lifted the two little ones, "Say hello to the audience nationwide."
Sangyu and Zi Xi weren’t shy at all. They clasped their hands together and said in unison to the camera, "Happy New Year, everyone!"
Sitting in the main hall watching television, Tong Airui couldn’t help but chuckle when he saw his two kids suddenly appear onscreen. His dad really spoiled the children too much.
