Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 755 - 632: What Pleasant Thoughts Do You Have Again? (Second Release)
The Emperor Haotian stayed at Xiawu’s side for three days. After discussing everything that needed to be discussed, he headed to Beidi, with the Queen of Beidi returning alongside him.
Things at Beidi had mostly been settled, and good news came from Danton’s side: while his left arm and leg were still not fully functional, he had regained sensation.
This news undoubtedly was a shot in the arm for the entire family, and Yi Luowa felt like two windows in her heart had suddenly been thrown open.
Seven days later, Mike Zekai came back and said that Danton’s hand could already grasp objects. In another seven or eight days, he should be discharged from the hospital.
Yi Luowa calculated the days and realized that when Youyou and Joyina were celebrating their one-month-old milestone, Danton would be able to leave the hospital.
Tong Airui noticed her glowing eyes and teased, "What’s got you dreaming happy thoughts again?"
Yi Luowa beamed at him and said, "Danton’s about to be discharged from the hospital."
"And then?"
"Danton will be discharged, and it will happen just as Youyou and Joyina are having their one-month celebration."
"And then?"
Yi Luowa playfully shoved him onto the bed. "You tell me, what then?"
Tong Airui sat up laughing. "Wifey, your bump is already showing, and you still want to push me with that much force?"
Yi Luowa glanced down at her belly and laughed, saying, "This time it’s much easier. No symptoms, and my belly is a lot smaller than last time. Hubby, since Danton’s coming back, can I go to Haotian for a bit? I’ll just take a quick look and come right back."
"I’ll let you take two looks," Tong Airui said with a laugh, stroking her hair. "I know if I don’t let you go, you’ll be in a bad mood. Go see him. And after that, you should start going back to work."
Yi Luowa lit up with a smile. "You’re letting me go back to work?"
"Yep, the dangerous period is over. You can go back to work now."
"Love you to death, hubby!" Yi Luowa looped her arm around his neck and gave him a loud kiss.
"Ding-dong..." The doorbell rang.
Tong Airui frowned slightly.
Yi Luowa pressed her lips together and smiled. "I’ll go get the door."
"I bet it’s your kids again," Tong Airui grunted unhappily.
"...I’ll go check." Yi Luowa waited until he was back in bed before opening the door.
Ziyan stood at the door holding a small stick, grinning mischievously at his mom.
Sangyu smiled and said, "See? We know how to use the doorbell now."
"Little troublemakers! Come on in." Yi Luowa guided the little ones inside, one in each hand.
Tong Airui rested his head on his hand and watched the two of them. "It’s late at night. Why aren’t you sleeping? What are you doing here?"
"Hehe... We missed you, of course," Sangyu said, kicking off her shoes and climbing onto the bed.
Ziyan placed his wooden stick on the coffee table and climbed up as well.
The two little ones sprawled across their dad’s stomach, kicking their small legs back and forth.
Yi Luowa asked with a laugh, "Do Grandma and Grandpa know you’re here?"
"Ten minutes," Sangyu answered, reaching out to her mom. "Come lay down with us."
Yi Luowa sighed and smiled, then took off her shoes and climbed onto the bed.
Tong Airui extended his arm for her to use as a pillow.
"Hehe..." Sangyu hugged her mother’s arm with a giggle.
"Did Grandpa say you could only stay for ten minutes?" Tong Airui asked, patting his daughter’s head.
"Yep. Just ten minutes!" Sangyu wrinkled her nose.
"Why only ten minutes?" Yi Luowa tilted her head to look at her daughter.
"So Mommy can rest properly," Ziyan said, swinging his little legs. "Mommy, I want to sleep with you."
"No way!" Tong Airui interjected before Yi Luowa could say a word.
The two kids immediately pouted in disappointment.
Tong Airui smiled and patted their cheeks. "Mommy has a little sister in her belly. You two don’t sleep well, and if you accidentally kick your sister, she will disappear."
Both little ones shot up, their eyes wide as they stared at their dad. "Really?"
Tong Airui nodded solemnly. "Really!"
Ziyan tugged on his sister, saying, "Stay away from Mommy."
"I didn’t touch Mommy!"
"Stay far away anyway!"
Sangyu pouted, scooting her little butt over.
Yi Luowa gave Tong Airui a sharp glare and reached out to hold her daughter’s little hand. "Your dad is just..."
Tong Airui quickly covered her mouth with his hand.
Ziyan and Sangyu turned to look at their parents.
Tong Airui hastily let go and said, "Once your little sister is born, Mommy and Daddy will cuddle with all three of you at once. Okay?"
Sangyu and Ziyan, still pouting, nodded.
Tong Airui chuckled, "Seems like ten minutes are up."
"No, they’re not!" Sangyu protested. "Grandpa will come call us when the time is up."
"Haha!" Yi Luowa laughed.
Tong Airui sighed and lay back down. Remembering how often he had been interrupted while sneaking snacks before, he couldn’t help but smile too.
Good things are worth waiting for, he thought, resigning himself to patience.
Uncle Che had quite the reputation for punctuality. Ten minutes were exactly ten minutes—and as soon as Grandpa came, the two children obediently climbed out of bed.
Back in their room, Sangyu grabbed her grandpa’s hand and asked, "Grandpa, if I kick Mommy’s belly, will the little sister disappear?"
"Who told you that nonsense?" Long Che asked, lifting his granddaughter onto the bed.
Tong Yao reached over and pulled Ziyan closer.
"Daddy said it." Sangyu pouted, looking up at her grandpa.
Ziyan huffed, "Daddy kicked us out too."
Long Che frowned slightly and turned to Tong Yao. "Luowa’s already over three months, huh?"
"Yes, more than three months now."
"Go get your son for me. I need to have a word with him."
Tong Yao looked at him suspiciously. "Why are you calling him over so late?"
Long Che said seriously, "I don’t want a repeat of what happened with Huai Sangyu and Ziyan last time."
Tong Yao glared at him, "Can’t you mind your own business for once? They’re not kids anymore, and besides, this time they know there’s a baby on the way. They’re not going to be as careless as they were with Sangyu and Ziyan."
"What do you know! Just go call him over!"
Tong Yao huffed, "If you want to talk to him, go yourself. I’m not bothering with this nonsense. For all you know, the kids don’t even have such ideas. You’re always overthinking things!"
"Just wait until you’re left without a granddaughter to hold—then you’ll cry!" Long Che grumbled, helping Sangyu remove her jacket.
"Grandma, hug me," Sangyu said, holding her arms out with a smile.
Long Che chuckled and tapped her nose lightly. "Time for you to go to sleep!"
"Sleepytime!" Sangyu grinned and snuggled into her blankets.
"Not sleeping in the small bed tonight?" Tong Yao teased.
Ziyan pulled his grandmother’s hand, saying, "Let’s sleep here first, then we can carry me back."
"So demanding!"
Sangyu rolled on the bed, giggling, "Grandma, call little brother over too."
Tong Yao shook her head with a laugh, "Your little brother is keeping great-grandma company. He won’t come over."
Sangyu lay flat on the bed, sticking her little bottom out. "Then can little sister come?"
Long Che smiled and said, "The little sister can come. When the time comes, Grandpa will put three little beds in this room."
Ziyan glanced at Grandpa and laughed. "Grandpa is better than Daddy!"
Long Che snorted, "Your dad, that little rascal..."
Tong Yao glared at him, "Stop saying whatever comes to mind in front of the children. Go to bed!"
Sangyu giggled, "We won’t tell Daddy."
Tong Yao looked helplessly at the two cheeky little ones, "Are these kids too clever for their own good? Why do they seem to understand everything?"
Long Che said smugly, "I’ve always said that Rui’er and Luowa’s kids are smart as can be!"
Early the next morning, Tong Airui stepped out of the bedroom beaming. As soon as he exited, he saw his father standing in the hallway.
"Dad, what are you doing standing here?"
Long Che took one look at his son’s glowing appearance and immediately understood. He turned serious and asked, "Where’s Luowa?"
"I didn’t wake her up. I wanted her to sleep a bit longer."
Long Che raised an eyebrow, "Listen to me carefully! I’m still waiting to hold another granddaughter!"
Tong Airui instantly caught his meaning and burst out laughing, "Haha—Dad, you’re even stricter than Mom."
"Laugh all you want! You’re shameless enough to laugh? Have you forgotten what happened before?" Long Che snorted and stomped downstairs.
"Hahaha..." Tong Airui started laughing but stopped halfway when he noticed his father glaring ominously at him. He quickly shut up, "Dad, I promise, I’ll definitely make sure you get to hold another granddaughter!"
