Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 678 - 574: Wanted Notice (Part 2)
"Mom, let’s use this opportunity to elevate Haotian’s status," Tong Airui looked at Queen Haotian and said. "My dad has issued a wanted notice. If any country dares to shelter that woman, we will strike them down. As for weapons, you don’t need to worry—I can speak to my grandfather and uncle, and we can provide weapons to you free of charge."
Queen Haotian chuckled, "Silly child, even if Haotian is poor, we still have money to buy weapons. But I accept your kind gesture!"
Emperor Haotian quickly penned the order and handed it off to the secretary to issue. He then returned to the hall.
Just as he sat down, Mi Chenxuan called Tong Airui to report that they had safely arrived home! 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
The heavy weight hanging over everyone’s hearts finally lifted.
"Mom, Ai Ni and I are going back tomorrow," You Jia timidly told Tong Yao after noticing everyone’s mood had improved.
Tong Yao nodded, "Things are mostly taken care of here. You two can head back—Ni’er and the little one have been away for quite some time."
Tong Airui glanced at You Jia, "Are all matters here settled?"
"Yes, the investment plans have long been finalized. After signing the contract tomorrow, we’ll head back."
"When you return, spend more time with Ai Ni."
"Of course." You Jia smiled warmly, "Are you saying she’s been complaining about me these past few days?"
Tong Airui gave him an annoyed look, "Does she even need to complain? She just had a baby. Her mood’s certainly different from before. If you’re constantly absent, she’s bound to overthink."
You Jia nodded with a smile, "After we return, I’ll make more time to spend with her."
Tong Airui furrowed his brows slightly and said nothing more.
The next day, You Jia took Ai Ni, the baby, and Ai Ni’s grandparents back to S Country.
Right before their departure, Ai Ni’s grandfather unexpectedly told Emperor Haotian that he wanted to donate a batch of new weapons for free. Emperor Haotian was deeply shocked—why would the old man give them weapons unconditionally?
After the elders left, Emperor Haotian and his wife went to their daughter’s quarters to discuss.
Yi Luowa, after hearing the news, had a bewildered expression on her face. "Did my grandfather really say that?"
Queen Haotian pretended to be stern, "Stop playing games with me! Did Airui say something to your grandfather?"
Yi Luowa burst into laughter, "Don’t worry about it! If someone’s offering you free sponsorship, isn’t that great?"
"What concerns me is that while we might be receiving these weapons for free, someone may secretly have paid for them," Queen Haotian asked her daughter, "Did you and Airui buy those weapons for Haotian?"
"No money was spent. After my grandfather learned of the situation, he immediately decided to donate a batch of weapons to Haotian," Tong Airui remarked as he entered the room with a smile. "But I was concerned about how my grandfather might explain this to my two aunts, so I suggested to him that we stop taking dividends from Tian Lei."
Queen Haotian glanced helplessly at her son-in-law. "We keep saying we have enough money for weapons, yet you’re still offering your own money to buy them for us!"
"Yi Luowa is Haotian’s eldest princess. If she hasn’t contributed anything to her nation yet, let this serve as her gift to her homeland."
Yi Luowa smiled and nodded, "Mom, this is the least I can do."
Queen Haotian looked to her husband, and Emperor Haotian smiled. "The kids have said as much; we’ll accept for now and revisit this later."
"When the time comes, you mustn’t shortchange those two kids!"
"Of course not—I’d never shortchange my daughter and son-in-law!"
Queen Haotian smiled and said to Yi Luowa, "Make sure your dad writes down what he just said, then we won’t have to worry about him forgetting in the future."
"Mom, stop teasing Dad!" Yi Luowa laughed as she hugged her mother’s arm. "I don’t have any grand wishes—I just hope Haotian grows stronger day by day, so you and Dad won’t have to work so hard."
"You truly are a thoughtful daughter!" Queen Haotian laughed, patting her daughter’s hand affectionately.
A promise made was followed through. On the first day Yi Luowa returned to her homeland, the first shipment of weapons arrived. Emperor Haotian and Queen Haotian were dumbfounded at the sight of more than a dozen ships carrying weapons. Exactly how much stake did their daughter have in Tian Lei?
It wasn’t much—just five percent. But even that five percent dividend was enough to sustain Haotian’s army for ten years.
The shipment came with a message from Ai Ni’s grandfather, clarifying that this batch of weapons had no connection to Tong Airui or Yi Luowa—it was purely his gift. Any weapons arriving later, however, would be those purchased by Tong Airui and Yi Luowa using the dividends from their share.
Tong Airui noted his in-laws’ concerns and reassured them with a smile, "Consider this favor mine alone—it’s unrelated to either of you."
Emperor Haotian shook his head with a smile. "We can’t let this favor fall solely on you. Before he left, your grandfather signed an agreement with me granting fifty years of usage rights for Huajing Mountain. Here’s what I’ll do: I’ll extend that to seventy years, an additional twenty on the original price."
Tong Airui’s lips curved slightly. His in-laws were indeed wise—that way, he could support them more freely in the future.
After staying briefly in their daughter’s quarters, Emperor Haotian and Queen Haotian received a phone call from Xiang Zuo.
Queen Haotian took the phone and stepped out.
Emperor Haotian looked at his daughter helplessly, "Don’t become like your mom. She keeps meddling in everything—I get exhausted just watching her."
Before Yi Luowa could respond, Tong Airui chuckled, "No need to worry—it’s inherited. The day I met Yi Luowa, she was already someone who loved meddling."
Yi Luowa pouted, "Stop throwing me under the bus in front of Dad!"
"I don’t need Airui to tell me—I’ve observed it myself. Why else would I take special notice of you?"
"You’ve got magical insight now, do you?"
"Haha..." Emperor Haotian laughed halfway when Queen Haotian returned with her phone.
"Xiang Zuo called to say Katya’s child isn’t his!"
Yi Luowa froze.
Tong Airui also stood astonished.
Emperor Haotian frowned in confusion, "If it’s not his, nor Joen’s, then what—did the child spring out of a rock?"
"Sigh... Looks like to figure out the child’s biological father, we’ll have to revive Katya and hear the truth from her own lips," Queen Haotian remarked as she slowly sat down. "As for this matter, I’m done meddling."
Emperor Haotian laughed in agreement, "That’s more like it!"
"However, until we find the child’s birth father, I plan to help him finish graduate school."
"I knew it!" Emperor Haotian sighed and looked at his daughter helplessly. "Look at her—she keeps meddling in people’s problems even after they do her harm. That’s your mom for you!"
"Adult issues are separate from the child’s," Queen Haotian exhaled deeply. "Our generation carries heavy stains of bloodshed—otherwise, we wouldn’t have lost our daughter or caused our son to suffer chronic illness. Now we’ve found our daughter, and our son is cured—we need to do more good deeds."
"Dad, since Mom has already decided, just let her be," Yi Luowa said, giving her father a meaningful look.
Emperor Haotian nodded, "Zhi Lan, from now on, whatever you wish to do, follow your heart—I was just venting earlier. I’ll go check on Ziyan and Sangyu—are you coming?"
At the mention of her grandchildren, Queen Haotian’s face lit up with a smile, "Of course!"
