Chapter 662: Chapter 562 My Wife Calls the Shots! (One More)_2

"Give us an envelope!" Ziyan wrinkled his little nose.

"Big, big, big..." Sangyu repeated the word "big" several times in a row.

Bert laughed and asked, "What are they saying?"

Colin chuckled, "They’re saying that without big red envelopes, they won’t say hello to you."

Bert laughed as he pulled out his wallet, "Uncle has money but no red envelopes, what should we do?"

Sangyu glanced at her brother, Ziyan looked at his sister, and the two raised their tiny hands simultaneously, giving Bert two polite bows.

Looking at these two adorable little munchkins, Bert burst out laughing, took all the money out of his wallet, and placed it between the children. "You both come back tomorrow, Uncle will prepare two big red envelopes for you."

"Thank you—"

"Thank you!"

Bert crouched down with a grin, "You two little cuties, Uncle’s fallen in love with you! How about coming to the palace with me tonight?"

Sangyu froze, her wide eyes staring nervously at Bert as she quickly climbed into her mom’s arms and clung to her hand.

Yi Luowa chuckled and patted her daughter’s head, "Don’t be scared, Uncle is just teasing you."

"No, no, no, no..." Sangyu shook her little head furiously, looking pitifully at her mom.

Colin looked astonished, his jaw dropping, "How is this child so clever? She already understands everything at such a young age?"

"She not only understands words but also cares for others! The other day, my wife visited them; she told me that Tong Yao dropped an apple and it accidentally hit her foot. She purposely said ’ouch!’ and, without anyone telling them, these two crawled up and insisted on giving her a massage."

Sheng Duheng chuckled as he ruffled Ziyan’s dark hair, "Just you wait, Uncle will have them buy red envelopes first, then we’ll wrap a couple of small ones for you two now, and save the big ones for New Year’s."

Colin and Commander Ji quickly called out to Sheng Duheng, "Get a few more. It’s their first time here; can’t let the kids leave empty-handed."

"Uncle, don’t bother! They’re so young; even if you give them money, they wouldn’t know how to spend it," Yi Luowa grabbed Bert’s money, stuffed it back into his hand, and pulled Sangyu closer to Sheng Duheng.

Bert turned to Tong Airui, "We know you don’t lack money, but this is for the kids, not for you. A small gesture from everyone, no matter how little. So, who’s the decision-maker in your family?"

Tong Airui grinned, "My wife calls the shots."

"Hopeless!" Bert laughed as he stood up. "I’ll personally buy the red envelopes, then hand them out to every department. If there aren’t enough, I won’t be happy!"

"Tong Airui..." Seeing Bert about to head out, Yi Luowa quickly shot Tong Airui a look.

Tong Airui chuckled, "Don’t bother trying to stop him. The more you say it’s impossible, the more likely he is to do it."

Bert laughed, "Exactly! You all might as well stay seated; I’ll take care of this."

Yi Luowa looked helplessly at Tong Airui. Just as she was about to speak, a few more people entered the room. Everyone treated the two children like little treasures, laughing and chatting in the office, unwilling to leave.

All morning, Tong Airui’s office was bustling with visitors. The more people there were, the more energized the two kids seemed to be. Occasionally blurting out single words, every time they spoke, everyone would burst into laughter.

If Tong Airui hadn’t put his foot down later, the whole office building might’ve ended up in complete chaos.

After everyone left, Yi Luowa looked at the small mountain of red envelopes stacked on the coffee table, pouting as she glared at Tong Airui.

"Did you think through bringing the kids here?"

"I already thought about it in the car. If they didn’t give my son and daughter red envelopes, I’d be furious! Back when their families had kids, I gave red envelopes way larger than any here. We had twins, saved them one gift, and they’re secretly laughing; you just take it with confidence. Later, if their families have events, we’ll pay them back."

Yi Luowa pointed at the two little ones sprawled on the coffee table playing with the red envelopes, angrily saying, "Look at your son, and then look at your daughter. These two little money-grubbing rascals! The moment they see red envelopes, they’ll do whatever anyone asks them to. They’re completely embarrassing your family!"

"We didn’t embarrass you. If anything, we’ve brought glory to you! Look at how everyone’s complimenting us—smart, beautiful! Haha... I’m filled with pride. You don’t feel even a bit of pride?"

Yi Luowa rolled her eyes at him in disdain, "I can’t even bother talking to you! Deal with these red envelopes, don’t let them play with them anymore. I’ll go wash their hands."

"Let them play a little longer. Kids love bright-colored things." Tong Airui sat on the carpet, smiling as he watched his two children. "You two can play, but don’t put your hands in your mouths. If I catch anyone doing that, I’ll invoke the family rules!"

"Family fun?" Yi Luowa couldn’t help but laugh, remembering their so-called family rules.

Tong Airui shook his head, chuckling, "Family rules vary. For you, it’s ’Get in bed and lie down properly!’ For them, it’s spanking."

Yi Luowa glared at him coquettishly, "Even in front of the kids, you can’t stop talking nonsense!"

"They don’t understand that." Tong Airui chuckled, stroking his son’s head, "Son, did you understand what Daddy just said?"

"Lie down!" Ziyan grabbed a bunch of red envelopes and threw them onto the floor.

"Spank, butt!" Sangyu placed a red envelope on her brother’s tiny behind.

"Haha... Ma Dan, you two really do understand!" Tong Airui barely finished his sentence before his forehead got smacked.

Looking at his wife’s fiery gaze, Tong Airui raised his hand, "I’ll watch my words next time, okay? Don’t be mad, your Highness."

"Ma!"

"Dan!"

The little siblings each remembered a syllable and started chanting in a game-like manner.

"Look, they’ve learned it already!" Yi Luowa tugged at Tong Airui’s ear in frustration.

Sangyu noticed and swiftly crawled toward her dad, grabbing his arm to stand up, reaching for his ear.

"Pinch, pinch, pinch..." Sangyu couldn’t reach, so she urgently let out a playful cry.

"Haha..." Yi Luowa couldn’t hold back her laughter, enjoying the scene.

Tong Airui glanced at her helplessly, then tilted his head down, offering his ear to his daughter’s tiny hands.

Sangyu finally managed to pinch her dad’s ear and gleefully crawled back to play with her brother, continuing with the red envelopes.

"I really need to be more careful in the future... Beep beep..."

Tong Airui’s phone rang. Fourth Uncle took his phone out, glanced at it, then answered.

"Airui, Second Uncle Sheng just called, said they’ve caught the guy. I’m heading over now. Do you have time?"

"Nope, I’m babysitting." Tong Airui raised an eyebrow slightly, "Just come here. I’ll have Bert go with you for questioning."

"This is your turf. Is it really appropriate for you not to come?"

"The entire Xiawu belongs to the royal family. Which territory is specifically in my name?"

"I can’t out-argue you or outfight you. Forget it, I won’t waste time arguing. I’ll head over and see you when I arrive."

"Sure, come by. Just don’t come looking for me; I’m really babysitting." Tong Airui held his phone up to his son’s mouth, "Ziyan, say ’Uncle.’

"Un——" Ziyan dragged out the word with a long tail.

Leon laughed, "Is saying ’Uncle’ really that hard?"

"Give him money, and he’ll call you ’Uncle.’ No money, and you’re just ’Brother.’" Tong Airui grinned. "Alright, hanging up now, need to keep an eye on these two. My wife can’t handle them alone."

Yi Luowa waited until he’d hung up before quietly asking, "You didn’t bring the kids here just to avoid Leon, did you?"
