Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 596 - 512: What bad thing haven’t you done yet! (Part 1)
Tong Airui lifted his head from the table, suppressing a laugh and said, "Wifey, let me tell you, that Queen Haotian is really amusing. She gets so mad at me, she throws childish tantrums."
Yi Luowa furrowed her brows slightly, "Why are you provoking her for no reason?"
"It’s fun!" Tong Airui laughed as he stood up. "Next time I tease her, I’ll bring you along, so you can enjoy too. You’ve been so stressed these days, look how your pretty little face is all scrunched up together."
Yi Luowa’s mouth twitched fiercely, "Queen Haotian has enough to worry about. Stop adding to her troubles already. Youyou wants to bring that small horse back, go check on her. I’ve told her, but she won’t listen."
"Then let her bring it back, the kids can play with it." Tong Airui chuckled and ruffled her hair, "Wifey, you didn’t defend Queen Haotian in vain. She’s pretty decent to you."
The slaps Queen Haotian gave Nancy were no joke; she really went all out. Tong Airui thought about it and found it satisfying enough.
"She’s a good person, you should stop messing with her." Yi Luowa started dragging him outside, "That small pony is still nursing; it’s so little, how do you plan to care for it? Go talk to Youyou."
"Bring its mother back too," Tong Airui laughed, "We can afford to keep them."
"Will Dad agree?"
"That depends on our daughter. If she likes them, Dad won’t dare say a word. If she doesn’t, I’ll have someone send them back. What’s the big deal? Look at you worrying over nothing! From now on, don’t worry about anything; if the sky falls, I’ll hold it up for you." "Alright, and if you can’t hold it, we’ll just both get squashed," Yi Luowa rolled her eyes at him, "What did you say to Danton today? He wouldn’t come out with me."
"I told him, there are too many people who want him dead right now. If he doesn’t want you dragged down with him, he better stay away from your son!"
Yi Luowa was furious and reached out to pinch his arm.
Tong Airui hastily hid his hands behind his back, "I’m doing this for his own good. Kai Di is trapped in the mountains. She’s desperate and could do anything. If something happens to Danton, we wouldn’t be able to explain to his parents."
Yi Luowa gave him a long look, "Take your hand out!"
"Why? I already explained, and you still want to pinch me? No way!" Tong Airui acted like a child, holding his hands behind his back and retreating.
Yi Luowa burst out laughing, "The way you’re acting right now, we should record it. When Ziyan and Sangyu grow up, we’ll show them what kind of silly dad they have."
Tong Airui saw that his wife finally smiled, walked over with a grin, wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and headed toward the door, "I’ll go ask Second Uncle if he has any venison or deer blood. If he does, we’ll have it for lunch. I need some nourishment."
Yi Luowa pinched his waist hard, "You’re already exhausting enough—if you nourish yourself more, where’s my sanity supposed to go?"
Tong Airui winced in pain, "Wifey, your thoughts are too impure! Why does your mind immediately go there at the mention of venison? Did I not ’serve’ you properly last night, making you think about it even in broad daylight?"
Yi Luowa twisted him again, and the two finally stepped out the door. Strangely enough, Tong Airui’s antics instantly brightened Yi Luowa’s mood. She left with a heavy heart, but walked away much more at ease.
Yi Weiyang not only sent over the pony’s mother but also brought its father along. Now the three of them, a little family, were being inspected in the courtyard.
Yi Luowa sneaked a glance at her dad’s face and saw no reaction, letting out a sigh of relief.
"Let the kids take a look. If they like them, keep them. If not, send them back quickly. Otherwise, we’ll have to build a stable at home."
Long Che said this directed at his son, and Tong Airui hurriedly pulled his wife’s hand into the main hall.
"It’s cold. Don’t bring them outside; just look from the door," Long Che added.
Yi Luowa quickly agreed. The couple carried the two little ones from the nanny’s arms and stood by the door.
Youyou and Danton each led a pony over, with the foal sticking close to its mother.
Ziyan and Sangyu saw the new fluffy sights, and their big, bright eyes lit up instantly.
"Giggly giggle..."
"Giggly giggle..."
Long Che looked at his grandchildren giggling like this and smiled, quickly instructing someone to choose a spot for building a stable.
From then on, the family had plenty to do. When the two little ones were awake, they wouldn’t stop fussing without seeing the three horses. But once they saw them, they’d burst into laughter.
After dinner, Long Che and Tong Airui went to the study. Dragon Che’s most pressing concern was the disposal of Haotian’s stash of Shenghua weapons.
Tong Airui waited for his dad to finish asking and answered solemnly, "When Queen Haotian originally hid the weapons, she had already planned for their destruction. She had prepared a super high-temperature carbonization pit beneath the cave where they were stored and has now begun the incineration process."
"Is Kai Di targeting that stash of weapons?"
"Yes, she suspected they were hidden there. Once she arrived, she headed straight for the cave. Fortunately, she was intercepted every step of the way and couldn’t reach the location before the Queen had them destroyed."
Long Che furrowed his brows slightly, "Kai Di has been besieged for so long and still hasn’t been taken down? What exactly are Emperor Haotian and his team trying to achieve?"
Tong Airui shrugged, "Kai Di is not to be underestimated. Even while imprisoned, she can still control outside operations."
Long Che chuckled softly, "Haotian is truly ruled by women."
Tong Airui smiled, "If not for Emperor Haotian’s familial sentimentality, Kai Di would be no match for Queen Haotian."
"You can’t say Emperor Haotian is entirely wrong here. If your aunt did something that outrageous, I’d also hesitate to handle her ruthlessly."
Tong Airui nodded, "Queen Haotian asked me the same thing before, and my answer was the same as yours. Fortunately, there’s no one like that in our family."
"Kai Di has done countless vile things just for the throne. Most of it might be excusable, but swapping Nancy in the delivery room and poisoning Danton—that’s crossing the line. If Emperor Haotian still doesn’t put an end to her, then he’s not fit to be called a man..."
As Long Che was speaking, Tong Airui’s phone rang. After listening to the call, he opened up his computer.
The father and son, one seated and one standing, stared intently at the live broadcast from Jinniu Mountain on the screen.
"Kai Di wants to see Emperor Haotian. She claims she has an earth-shattering secret to trade for her life and that of her people," Tong Airui explained as he watched the footage.
Long Che furrowed his brows slightly, "Could Kai Di be up to some more tricks?"
"Let’s wait and see... Emperor Haotian’s here." Tong Airui pointed at the corner of the screen, where someone in a hazmat suit appeared. "That’s Emperor Haotian, and the person following behind him should be Queen Haotian."
"Hmm, judging by her figure, it must be her."
Tong Airui turned up the volume, "Let’s listen in on what they’re saying."
On screen, Kai Di, with her son in her arms, glared at Queen Haotian standing behind Emperor Haotian, her bloodshot eyes brimming with rage, yelling, "Vixen, who told you to come here! I don’t want to see you! Get lost!"
Queen Haotian chuckled lightly, "At this point, you’re still so arrogant? Go on, tell us what tricks you have up your sleeve. Once you’re done, you and Jinniu Mountain will vanish from this world."
Long Che turned to his son, "What’s Queen Haotian planning?"
"The weapons have been completely destroyed. She’s worried about lingering threats, so she plans to flatten Jinniu Mountain—there are over ten bombers ready to take off."
"Looks like they’re playing hardball this time."
As they were talking, Kai Di in the footage suddenly rushed toward Randy with her child. Randy didn’t move, but his nearby guards sprang into action—over a hundred of them raised their guns, aiming at Kai Di.
Kai Di clutched her son tightly and stopped in her tracks, crying out to Emperor Haotian, "Brother, I’m your biological sister! Why are you treating me like this! Killing our second brother wasn’t enough for you, and now you want to kill me too? Don’t you think about how you’ll face our parents later!"
"After everything you’ve done, what face do you have to go meet our parents?" Emperor Haotian’s voice sounded hoarse, showing he hadn’t been doing well recently. "If it weren’t for you stirring the pot, I wouldn’t have fought a civil war with our second brother for so many years. If you hadn’t forced Xia Rou to swap the child, I wouldn’t have been separated from my daughter for twenty years. If you hadn’t poisoned Danton, he wouldn’t have been bedridden for years!"
"Ha ha... so what? I poisoned Danton, and you people poisoned Joseph! If it weren’t for you poisoning Joseph, I wouldn’t have escaped!"
Emperor Haotian froze, turning to look at Queen Haotian.
Queen Haotian shook her head; it was clear she didn’t know about this, "Joseph was poisoned?"
"Ha ha..." Kai Di let out a despairing laugh, her child seeming oblivious in her arms, unmoving. "You vixen, you won’t even admit your deeds. Vile woman, why didn’t that fire at Sacred Infant Hospital burn you to death back then!"
"Shut up!" Emperor Haotian roared, "Are you saying you started that fire back then? Kai Di, is there no evil you haven’t done? You truly disappoint me!"
