Billionaire's Long Journey of Chasing His Love-Chapter 562 - 483 Chapters 22 - s
Mi Chenshuo called Tong Airui, "Fourth Brother, join the chat group!"
Tong Airui lazily leaned against the sofa and handed the phone to his wife, "Third Brother told me to join the group chat. Check out what they’re up to."
Yi Luowa opened the group chat and laughed after glancing at the messages.
Mi Chenshuo: Fifth Brother wants to kill Seventh Brother!
Mi Chenxuan: My Fifth Brother is already at the hospital entrance!
Lance: What’s going on between Fifth and Seventh? Seventh was just on the phone with me earlier, saying he wanted to hide out at my place for a few days.
Little Raindrop: Instead of stopping them, you’re all sitting here chatting!
Tong Ai Ni: My Fifth Brother won’t actually kill my Seventh Brother; they’re obviously just messing around.
Joyina: What’s the situation?
Luo You: This whole thing is clearly Seventh Brother’s fault!
Tong Ai Ni: Tell us quickly, what happened?
Mi Chenshuo: Fourth Brother, are you in the group yet? Fifth Brother listens to you. Hurry up and call him to talk him down.
Yi Luowa chuckled and read the conversation aloud to Tong Airui.
"Third Brother wants you to talk to Fifth Brother."
Tong Airui propped his face up slightly, "Not my problem!"
Yi Luowa mischievously typed seven words: Tong Airui says he’s not getting involved!
Lance: Luowa, if Fourth Brother won’t step in, you have to. Don’t let them escalate this; they’re brothers—any injuries would be bad.
Yi Luowa replied with a grin: Fifth Brother is just overjoyed. He went to find Seventh Brother to celebrate; he won’t hurt him.
Monica: Overjoyed? What’s going on?
You Jia: Could it be that Fifth Brother’s wife is pregnant?
Tong Airui: Exactly—she’s pregnant!
The group exploded with chatter. No one was worried about Maizekai anymore; all their attention shifted to Connie.
Connie finally appeared in the group after a while: Thank you, everyone!
Tong Ai Ni: What’s the situation on my Fifth Brother’s side?
Connie: Seventh Brother bolted; Tong Aino nearly wrecked his office.
Tong Aino: I’m furious! Just wait until I catch him!
Monica: You finally left your hideout?
You Jia: Congratulations to Fifth Brother on becoming a father.
Tong Aino: That’s music to my ears! But I still haven’t calmed down. If any of you see Seventh Brother, let me know.
The group immediately fell silent.
Yi Luowa laughed, handed the phone back to Tong Airui, and shouted toward the second floor, "Come down here! No matter how hard Fifth Brother tries to guess, he’d never think you’re with us."
You grabbed Maizekai’s arm and dragged him down. "Serves you right for scheming all the time. I almost wanted to tell Fifth Brother you were here."
"I was doing it for his own good. Where’s the scheming in that?" Maizekai pulled away from You’s hand and strolled over.
"You let Fifth Brother take a hit for nothing!" Tong Airui glared at him. "If I didn’t need a doctor right now, I’d throw you out."
"It wasn’t for nothing. This was for the sake of their marriage..."
"Stop!" Tong Airui cut him off. "First, check on me—can I go underwater tomorrow?"
"In this cold weather? No way!" Maizekai scoffed.
"It’s a hot spring."
"Still no!"
"Youyou, call Fifth Brother..."
"Hold on! I’ll check for you."
Under Tong Fourth Brother’s threat, Maizekai was forced to hook him up to an IV drip again.
The RV headed southward, and by nightfall, they arrived at the scenic Mountain Spring Hotel.
You got out of the vehicle and was dazzled by the view. "Sis, this place is so beautiful! Fourth Brother really knows how to pick a spot!"
Yi Luowa supported Tong Airui as he stepped out of the vehicle. Looking at the mountain ranges, she smiled and said, "We’ve been in Xiawu so long, and I never knew it had such a breathtaking place. Last time we went out, why didn’t we come here?"
"Last time, we couldn’t do much anyway. Better to save it for this trip."
"For what purpose?"
"You’ll know tomorrow," Tong Airui chuckled, wrapping an arm around her waist as they entered the hotel gates.
Maizekai looked over at You and asked, bewildered, "What’s Fourth Brother planning?"
"You’ll know tomorrow!" You snorted at him.
What’s Fourth Brother planning?
Fourth Brother is preparing a surprise for his wife!
The next day, Fourth Brother brought his little wife here and shot a fashionable underwater wedding photoshoot.
Yi Luowa never expected that someone as stubborn and against conforming to societal norms as Tong Airui would voluntarily cooperate with the photographer to fight through two days underwater.
Looking at the unedited raw images on the computer, Yi Luowa giggled like a fool, "These shots are so stunning—they hardly look like us!"
"Don’t look like us? Then who do they look like?" Tong Airui held the mouse and continued flipping through the pictures.
"Like international celebrities!"
"The photographer who took these pictures also works with international celebrities." Tong Airui paused. "A magazine contracted him for photos, but he turned it down to shoot for us instead. He wants to use some of our pictures. How about this one?"
Yi Luowa glanced at it and almost burst into laughter, "Just showing two backsides?"
"When he brought it up, I already said it’s either back shots or one-third profiles at most."
"If he’s fine with that, then I don’t mind. At least no one will know it’s me." Yi Luowa reached out to ruffle his hair. "I’ve been worried you soaking in water for days might worsen your illness."
"I’m not that fragile. Look—I’m fine now." Tong Airui smiled and placed the selected images into a folder before sending them off.
"If you feel unwell, you’d better not force yourself."
Tong Airui smirked devilishly, "How about we test it out in bed?"
"You’re shameless!" Yi Luowa laughed and stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"To pour you a glass of water."
"I’m not thirsty. Wife, tomorrow let’s visit Huacheng instead."
Yi Luowa paused mid-step and turned to look at him, "Let’s save that for next time—you’ve had nonstop phone calls these three days. Don’t you think it’s time to head back?"
"Are you tired?"
"I’m okay, just worried you’ll get exhausted..."
"Missing the kids?"
Yi Luowa smiled lightly, "Honestly, it feels like those two kids were born for your parents, not us. They’re already so grown-up, yet we’ve barely had time with them. Now that Connie’s pregnant, don’t you think we should take care of our own kids more?"
"You’ll have to discuss that with Dad. If he agrees to let us raise them, then we’ll do it ourselves."
Yi Luowa pouted and set the glass of water beside him, "Talking about it wouldn’t change anything. The best Dad would compromise on is letting us take Ziyan."
"Sangyu can’t live without Ziyan. Don’t set your hopes on any of them." Tong Airui took a sip of water and laughed, "When I called back this morning, Grandma said, ’I can’t even get close to Sangyu and Ziyan. No one from Nuo’er’s household better try to fight me for the kids!’"
Yi Luowa pursed her lips, "Grandpa and Grandma are so old—I hope they don’t overexert themselves."
"There are plenty of staff at home; they won’t overwork themselves." Tong Airui playfully pinched her nose, "Always worrying about others. When will you think about yourself for a change?"
"Anything I overlook, you’ve already taken care of for me. Why bother thinking too hard?"
Tong Airui smiled and said nothing more. Aside from an uncle, his wife had no other family left. If he didn’t think of her first, who would?
On the second day, they didn’t go to Huacheng; instead, they visited Joyina.
Joyina’s rented racetrack was about to expire, and that night, she made at least five phone calls which finally convinced Tong Airui to let his wife help her out.
When Yi Luowa arrived at the scene, she personally performed several high-risk stunts as required by the script.
Joyina watched from behind the monitor and screamed excitedly, "Director, how’s that? Want another take?"
The director shook his head repeatedly, "No need—it’s perfect!"
"Alright! Wrap it up—I’m taking them to dinner."
Sitting nearby, Tong Airui replied in a deep voice, "No dinner for us; we’re heading back."
Joyina pouted, "Saving me money?"
"We’ve been out for days. Luowa misses the kids," Tong Airui said as he stood up and walked toward Yi Luowa. Without even letting her change out of the racing gear, he dragged her onto the RV.
"Why are we leaving in such a rush?" Yi Luowa asked, confused.
Tong Airui frowned slightly, "While you were filming, Muta Grand called me—told me to go to the palace immediately. When I asked what it was, he didn’t say."
"Could it be another emergency?" Yi Luowa, slightly unsettled, started unzipping her racing suit.
"Judging by his tone, it doesn’t sound good." Tong Airui rubbed his forehead. "I’ll drop you and You off at home first before heading to the palace."
"Alright." Yi Luowa nodded, grabbing a box of medicine from the medical kit and slipping it into Tong Airui’s bag. "Don’t forget to take this."
Tong Airui promised her firmly.
When the RV arrived at the palace, Tong Airui got out and went straight to Muta’s office.
As soon as Tong Airui entered, he saw his father and Leon, both of whom looked unusually grave.
"Uncle Muta, what happened?"
