Mi Chenshuo glanced over and saw Park Shunyan looking at Yi Luowa. Furious, he stood up and directly blocked his line of sight.

"Luowa, you go ahead and get busy first. When it’s time to eat, just call us."

"Alright, I’ll go make arrangements. You guys carry on chatting."

As Yi Luowa just stepped out, Joyina chased after her holding the uniform. "Luowa, I couldn’t understand a word of what they were talking about; I’ll go with you."

"Let’s go. Honestly, I don’t have much to do anyway. I’ll just make a phone call later and have someone else book the meal." Yi Luowa glanced at the uniform in Joyina’s hands. "Is this the uniform they sent? I’ll take you to Tong Airui’s so you can change."

Joyina wrinkled her nose. "No other place to go? Honestly, I don’t like your Tong Airui. Always pulling a long face every single day."

Yi Luowa nudged her. "When does Tong Airui ever pull a long face? He’s always smiling every day! When you guys came wasn’t it still wartime? He was busy with work, that’s why he had that attitude."

"Always defending your man!" Joyina pouted slightly.

Yi Luowa let out a snort. "Are you going or not? If not, go find my third brother."

"Your third brother is even worse; I’d rather stick with you!" Holding the uniform in her arms, Joyina followed Yi Luowa and ran into Tong Airui’s office.

Tong Airui leaned back in the leather chair and tilted his head toward the door. Seeing Yi Luowa come in, he smiled and said, "We can go home tonight."

"Really go home?" At the thought of seeing her child, Yi Luowa’s face lit up with joy instantly.

"Yes, my work is done..." Tong Airui was clearly smiling, but as soon as he saw Joyina squeeze her way in, his face darkened like a storm.

Joyina pointed at him and said to Yi Luowa, "See? As soon as he sees me, he has this expression."

"Didn’t see it!" Yi Luowa turned away, grinning.

"You must be seriously nearsighted! Otherwise, how could you choose him to be your man?" Joyina muttered and glanced around. "Where should I go to change clothes?"

Yi Luowa glared at her. "That room to the right is a bedroom. You can go change there."

"Go to the room on the left!" Tong Airui said firmly, his tone carrying weight.

Joyina frowned. "Which of you do I listen to?"

Yi Luowa chuckled. "Listen to him. Haha... The left is the bathroom."

"Bathroom then!" Holding onto her clothes stubbornly, Joyina marched into the bathroom.

"Why does she keep hanging around me instead of enjoying her life properly?" Tong Airui raised his voice intentionally.

Yi Luowa shot him an annoyed glance. "She just claimed you pull a long face every day. Can’t you at least try not pulling a face?"

"Am I pulling a face now?" Tong Airui sat up straight.

"Go look in a mirror yourself later! I’m inviting my third brother and Bert to have lunch in the back garden, do you have anyone you’d like to invite? Let me know the count so I can arrange the meal."

Tong Airui frowned slightly. "Who’s all coming to our place for lunch?"

"Bert, my third brother, Joyina, Old Eight, Youyou, and that guy experiencing life—Park Shunyan."

"Who?" Tong Airui thought he had misheard.

"Park Shunyan, that celebrity from H Country."

Tong Airui rubbed his temples. "Our third brother, seriously! He’s bold enough to bring anyone in."

Yi Luowa looked at him quizzically. "Isn’t he just a celebrity? What’s the big deal?"

"Didn’t Third Brother tell you who he really is?"

"He did! Park Shunyan."

"Besides being a celebrity, he’s also Park Huanyan’s son!"

Tong Airui sighed. "Where is he now?"

"He’s with Bert. Since you were all busy earlier and Bert seemed more free, I asked him to look after them both."

"Not bad arrangements—it saved me quite a bit of trouble." Tong Airui smiled. "For lunch, let’s keep it to us few; we’ll save the celebration feast for tomorrow night."

"Alright, it’s up to you. I was just afraid I’d make decisions without consulting and make you mad. During today’s lunch, you can’t pull a long face. Got it?"

Tong Airui looked thoughtful. "’Pull a long face’—what’s that? I don’t understand."

Yi Luowa was amused by his response.

Joyina came strolling out while clutching her pants. "Luowa, these pants keep slipping without a belt."

"Didn’t they give you a belt?" Yi Luowa pursed her lips in annoyance. "It’s frustrating. We’re the same size and mine barely fits, so yours must be constantly slipping."

"Your size is perfect, but I’m a bit slimmer." Joyina tugged on her pants and walked over. "Oh, I remembered—I do have a belt. I got bored sitting in Bert’s office and played with it; it’s probably still there."

"I’ll fetch it for you." Tong Airui offered kindly, standing up.

Joyina’s eyes widened in shock at Tong Airui. "I wouldn’t dare use your help."

"Can’t I be nice to you?" Tong Airui said as he quickly stepped outside the room.

Joyina turned to Yi Luowa. "Luowa..."

Yi Luowa smiled helplessly. "Let him go. He doesn’t have much else to do right now anyway."

Joyina pouted slightly.

Yi Luowa chuckled. "You and Youyou, really—you’re always afraid of him, but come on, you’re still his sister-in-law. Do you honestly think he’ll eat you alive?"

"You’re right. From now on, I won’t be afraid of him." Joyina walked around the room with her pants in hand.

Yi Luowa smiled at her, picked up the phone, and called the guards at the back garden to arrange the lunch.

Joyina’s belt was delivered promptly, but not by Tong Airui—it was Youyou who brought it instead. When Youyou entered, Joyina was bouncing around on the shaggy carpet.

Youyou shot her a glance. "Good thing you don’t have kids yet; they’d probably be shaken away with all your bouncing."

Joyina took the belt from her hands. "Didn’t I tell you to go take a nap? Why are you here again?"

"I couldn’t sleep. People downstairs are training and yelling loudly."

Yi Luowa looked bewildered. "I heard from my brother-in-law that Xuanxuan has an apartment arranged in the family quarters. Why’s there training in the family area?"

Youyou shrugged her lips. "Lin Zhanpeng and the others, punishing themselves."

"They really shouldn’t blame themselves like this." Yi Luowa sighed. "We need to find time for your brother-in-law to talk things over with them."

"My brother-in-law went right after Mi Chenxuan told him. He asked us to return to the back garden too."

"Give me a moment." Joyina fastened her belt and followed the other two out the door.

As Yi Luowa entered the yard, she saw Lin Zhanpeng and the other six standing neatly in a row.

Tong Airui stood before them, expressionless, and it seemed like they’d been in a standoff for quite some time.

Tong Airui glanced at Yi Luowa before turning to Lin Zhanpeng’s group and saying, "I understand you’re feeling terrible, but there’s no need for this self-inflicted punishment. What’s done is done. The only thing we can do now is learn from it. I’ve given you leave, not dismissal. If you keep standing in the yard quietly protesting like this, then by all means, keep standing."

After delivering his message, Tong Airui turned and went into the hall.

Lin Zhanpeng and the six others turned to Yi Luowa simultaneously with pouting faces.

Yi Luowa mimicked them, pouting back.

Lin Zhanpeng couldn’t hold it in and started laughing. "Fourth Sister, stop making us laugh. Help us out and plead with Fourth Brother. We don’t want leave; we want to go on missions."

Yi Luowa furrowed her brows slightly. "The war’s over. What missions? After this incident, everyone’s terrified—your families must be worried sick. Go home and take some time, then come back to await orders. Fourth Brother and I are going home today; why don’t we go together?"

"If Fourth Brother and Sister are going home, then everything must be fine." Yao Zhenghao tugged Lin Zhanpeng’s sleeve.

Lin Zhanpeng nodded. "Alright, we’ll go home with you."

Yi Luowa frowned playfully. "You all! If you’d agreed earlier, Fourth Brother wouldn’t have gotten so mad. Stay for lunch, and after you’ve eaten, go pack your things."

"No, we don’t deserve lunch." Lin Zhanpeng gave the others a signal, and they all ran out of the yard.

Yi Luowa shook her head helplessly. "Seems like they’ve developed a real psychological hurdle."

"Fourth Sister, don’t worry about them. The kinder you are to them now, the worse they’ll feel." Mi Chenxuan walked out. "Later, assign them a tough mission. Once they pull it off, they’ll bounce back."

"Got some experience, huh?" Yi Luowa teased him with a smile.

Mi Chenxuan grinned. "I thrive on setbacks."

"Hopefully, they’ll be just like you." Yi Luowa laughed as she pulled Youyou and Joyina into the hall. "Go in first and rest for a bit."

The three entered the room laughing.

Tong Airui saw them come in and pointed upstairs. "The food will take a bit. Go upstairs and relax for a while."

"We still have guests; going upstairs would seem rude." Yi Luowa smiled and poured each of them tea.

Park Shunyan stared at the slender fingers resting on the porcelain teacup, his mind momentarily drifting.

Tong Airui noticed his odd behavior and instantly his face darkened.

Mi Chenshuo furrowed his brow slightly and kicked Park Shunyan’s leg.

Park Shunyan immediately snapped out of it and turned to Mi Chenshuo with a smile. "For a moment, I thought I was looking at a work of art."

"That work of art already has an owner!" Tong Airui raised his eyebrows slightly and pulled his wife closer to him.

Park Shunyan smiled. "Duke Airui, if you’re willing to transfer her, I can offer a high price!"

Tong Airui shot him a lethal glare. "My wife is my priceless treasure! Do you think I’d transfer her? And let me clarify—she’s a person, not an object!"
