Tong Airui’s hand on the doorknob trembled uncontrollably, "No! Yi Luowa and I just came out of the nursery, they were still there then."

"Both of them are gone?" Yi Luowa froze for a moment, then rushed over.

"Yes, both are gone." At this point, Long Che’s face had already turned quite dark. The children disappearing without a trace left him feeling deeply uneasy.

Yi Luowa furrowed her brows and said, "It must be Youyou who took the kids away. I’ll go find her."

Long Che frowned as he walked over, took a thin wire out of his pocket, fiddled with the keyhole for two seconds, and with a "click," the door was unlocked.

Youyou heard the sound and had just reached the door when Long Che burst in, narrowly avoiding a collision.

Youyou quickly hid her hands behind her back, nervously scratching at the wall.

Yi Luowa hurriedly and carefully picked up her son, though her awkward technique earned her a distressed glare from Long Che.

Yi Luowa stuck out her tongue slyly—she barely got a chance to hold the kids, so she figured this wasn’t too shabby.

Youyou watched as Yi Luowa and Long Che walked out with the children, leaving only Tong Airui glaring at her ominously. She wanted to flee, but as soon as she moved, Tong Airui was faster, darting to her side in one swift motion.

Youyou quickly shielded her neck, "Brother-in-law... Fourth Brother, you, you..."

Tong Airui smacked her on the head forcefully, "Another time... You know what will happen!"

Youyou nodded vigorously, "I know, I know!"

"Know what?" Tong Airui’s icy gaze bore into her.

Youyou pouted, "I won’t steal the kids again, ever."

"If you steal the kids again, your uncle cuts your hand, and I’ll cut your foot!" Tong Airui shot her a warning look before turning and leaving the room.

Tong Yao had just finished knocking on Tong Aino’s bedroom door. Realizing the kids weren’t with the youngest child, the mother and her two daughters hurriedly came out of the room.

Tong Airui and his mother crossed paths.

Tong Yao’s voice trembled as she spoke, "Rui’er, did you find the kids?"

"Dad and Yi Luowa are taking them to your room." Tong Airui steadied his mother, "The kids are fine, just got taken by that silly Youyou."

"That girl, she’s such a handful!" Tong Yao sighed, "It’s not that we don’t let you all hold them. The kids are just too small; their bodies are still soft. If you don’t hold them properly, you could hurt them."

"I’ll walk you back to your room." Tong Airui supported his mother as they returned to her room.

Tong Aino and Connie followed closely behind.

By now, the two little ones had been placed on the big bed by Long Che and Yi Luowa. Despite all the commotion, they remained asleep.

Long Che tucked the blanket corners around his granddaughter and turned to Tong Yao, suppressing his fury as he said, "Tomorrow, let Yan Zi come pick her up!"

Tong Yao quickly signaled Connie to shut the door, then spoke quietly to Long Che, "Youyou and Xuanxuan are about to get married. Can’t you just tolerate her for a few more days? She didn’t mean any harm—she just likes Ziyan and Sangyu and wanted to play with them. She would never hurt them."

"Don’t make excuses for her!" Long Che straightened up, "Do you think anyone has time to babysit her all day? Besides, when Rui’er and I aren’t home, who among you can truly keep an eye on her?"

"I’ll watch her! Stop yelling, or you’ll wake the kids. These two little ones are cranky when they’re not well-rested." Tong Yao let out a deep sigh and climbed onto the bed. She was still trembling slightly from the scare earlier.

Yi Luowa reluctantly glanced at the children and tugged on Tong Airui’s hand, "Let dad and mom get some rest; let’s head out."
