Chapter 322: Chapter 292 How Am I Supposed to Say This? (Third Update)

Yi Luowa looked at Connie with a mischievous grin. "Want to know? Sure, but you’ve got to first tell me how your darling No. 5 drives you crazy, so I can figure out the antidote."

Connie’s face turned bright red as she stammered, "How am I supposed to talk about that?"

"Just say whatever comes to mind, hahaha..." Yi Luowa laughed, and as Connie reached out to pinch her, she quickly darted away.

"You’re laughing at me while I’m on the verge of a breakdown!" Connie huffed, plopping down onto the sofa angrily. "I thought once he came to live at our place, he’d calm down a bit. But every night, he sneaks into my room! Tell me, is he a total pervert or what?"

Yi Luowa tried hard not to laugh as she sat down beside her. "It’s all still fresh and exciting. Doesn’t matter what you say to him right now."

"So what should I do? My back still hurts as it is," Connie said, distressed and on the brink of tears.

Seeing her like this, Yi Luowa was reminded of her own tough experiences and let out a sigh. "You can’t just always give in—you need to learn how to say no."

"I have! It’s useless. The more I say no, the crazier he gets."

Yi Luowa chuckled helplessly. "There’s no one quite like you, huh? Catch him in a moment when he’s being normal and talk to him then. Also, know how to put on a little act? Be dramatic, exaggerate your pain. If he feels sorry for you, he might tone it down."

Connie pouted as she looked at Yi Luowa. "These pearls of wisdom—are they from your tried-and-true experience?"

"Mhm. Give it a shot; it might work. If not, we’ll brainstorm another plan." Yi Luowa scrunched her nose playfully.

Outside the door, the fourth and fifth brothers were standing eavesdropping. They exchanged a glance and slinked down the stairs, feeling awkward.

"Are we really *that* beastly?" No. 5 asked, looking at No. 4.

Fourth brother chuckled. "You’re the beast! I’m the civilized one!"

No. 5 sneered at him in disdain.

"Your wife’s just comforting Connie. I’ve already given mine a three-day break—there’s no way she’d bad-mouth me over this." No. 4 said with confidence.

No. 5 gave him a side-eye, like he was staring at a lunatic. "You? Stop for three days? Please, save your lies for the ghosts."

"Believe it or not!" Tong Airui shot him a glare. "By the way, have you talked to Connie’s parents about the engagement date?"

"Yeah, I’ve set it, but I didn’t have time to report back to Dad yet. He’s probably already rushed off to tell Mom."

"So which day is it? I need to plan my schedule."

"Dad offered a few dates, and they picked February 2nd. Their whole family will be able to make it then."

"Less than a month away, but we can manage. Connie’s already at the legal marrying age, so once you’re engaged, go get the marriage certificate. Give her that sense of security, and she’ll be able to fully enjoy everything you’re giving her. Otherwise, this sneaky behavior will always leave her feeling a bit uneasy." Fourth brother shared his advice, speaking from experience.

Tong Aino nodded in agreement. "Brother, when are you planning your wedding? Let’s do it together."

Tong Airui furrowed his brows slightly. "I’d love to, but your sister-in-law insists on waiting until she graduates before discussing it. You should go ahead first. Besides, Connie’s basically a princess—it wouldn’t be appropriate for your wedding to piggyback on ours."

"She wouldn’t dare say no!" Tong Aino scoffed. "I’ve already figured out how to deal with her."

Tong Airui immediately understood the implication behind his brother’s words. "You’ve got some nerve to admit that out loud."

Tong Aino chuckled sheepishly, scratching his head.

"I’ve been swamped recently. Once your sister-in-law goes on break, we’re planning to stay at Shen Ying for a while. You stay here to keep Dad, Mom, Grandpa, and Grandma company, okay?"

"No problem." Tong Aino felt a pang of sympathy for his brother, who was juggling so much. With four hours wasted commuting every day, he figured that extra time would be better spent catching up on sleep.

As the two brothers were chatting, Mi Chenshuo came barging in, looking flustered. "No. 5, you’re back! Perfect timing—I need to talk to you."

"What’s so urgent?"

"Our shipment over in Beidi is being held up. The branch office has tried retrieving it multiple times, but customs says they’ll only release it if I go over there in person. Don’t you think that’s absurd?"

Tong Aino grinned. "Maybe their customs official is just one of your fangirls, hahaha..."

Mi Chenshuo gave him an annoyed glare. "How can you joke at a time like this? The shipment’s deadline is in two days! If we don’t deliver it on time, we’ll be in breach of contract!"

Tong Aino laughed and gave him a playful punch. "Well then, you’ve got no choice but to sacrifice your charm and charisma. Haha..."

Realizing that discussing with him was going nowhere, Mi Chenshuo snorted in frustration. "You’re the big boss of Zhuoyuan, while I’m just your deputy. If you’re not freaking out, why should I? Forget it—I’m not going!"

"Of course I’m freaking out! Why wouldn’t I be? Third Brother, wait a second. Let me call my uncle and see if he can give us some advice."

Before Tong Aino could even make the call, Mi Chenshuo had already snatched the phone out of his hands.

"You’re trying to use my dad to pressure me again!"

"At least you’re self-aware!" Tong Aino smirked at him. "So, are you heading off now, or do you want to grab a nap first?"

"Get lost!" Mi Chenshuo threw the phone onto the sofa, storming out of the house in a huff.

Tong Airui, who had been quietly observing, chuckled and followed after him. "Third Brother, do you have Joyina’s number? If all else fails, you can ask her. I’m sure she’d be happy to help you out."

"Got it." Mi Chenshuo got into his car and, just as he was fastening his seatbelt, stuck his head out. "Thanks—if you hadn’t mentioned that little girl, I’d have completely forgotten about her."

Tong Airui waved with a smile. "Drive safe!"

As Mi Chenshuo’s car drove out of the gate, Yi Luowa came running downstairs. "I heard voices and figured you were back. Have you had dinner?"

"Already ate." Tong Airui ruffled her hair with a smile and whispered, "Your period should be over by now, right? I can’t survive even one more day."

Halfway through stepping into the house, Tong Aino overheard this and internally sneered at his brother. Just earlier, he’d gone on about how civilized he was, claiming he’d given his wife a three-day break. But the truth? She’d been on her period, and he’d been holding it in for three days.

"Ahem..." Tong Aino cleared his throat exaggeratedly and sauntered over. "Beast!"

Tong Airui shot him a sideways glance, grabbed his wife, and went inside.

"Hey, I still have something to say to you!" Tong Aino chased after them.

"No time for your nonsense. I’ve got to get up early tomorrow for Shen Ying," Tong Airui said without turning around.

"Beast! We came from the same womb, you know. I’ve been gone for days and want to catch up, but you tell me you’re too busy!"

"Save your chatter for Connie. Oh, by the way, Dad had your room remodeled a bit. Whatever you two talk about, we won’t hear a thing." Tong Airui glanced back with a smirk and headed upstairs.

Tong Aino’s mouth curled up in a small grin. Dad wasn’t so bad, after all. For a moment, he’d thought Dad only cared about the eldest son and didn’t bother with him.

The next day, before Yi Luowa even woke up, Tong Airui had already left silently. Lately, his packed schedule meant he was leaving early and returning late almost every day.

When Yi Luowa woke up, the bed beside her was already cold. She glanced at her phone’s calendar. Just four more days until her break. No matter what, she was determined to go with Tong Airui to Shen Ying this time. Otherwise, no matter how strong her body was, this kind of grinding lifestyle was bound to wear her down.

After freshening up, Yi Luowa walked out with a pouty face. When she reached Tong Aino’s door, a wicked smile crept onto her face. She pressed the doorbell a few times and then dashed down the stairs.

By the time Tong Aino groggily opened the door in his pajamas, Yi Luowa was already hiding out in the dining room.

Connie followed him out, glancing around suspiciously. "There’s no one here."

"Must’ve been my sister-in-law!" Tong Aino grumbled, rolling his eyes. "Tonight, I’m pressing *their* doorbell."

Connie chuckled. "Can you be any more childish?"

Tong Aino turned to look at her, spotting her already dressed in her work clothes. He frowned. "Who told you to get dressed?"

"I have to head to the office. If I don’t get up now, I’ll be late." Connie shot him a glare. "You need to learn to have some self-control."

"Just keep learning from my sister-in-law, huh? Nothing good comes from that!" Tong Aino teased, poking her on the forehead.

"If I could learn even a tenth of what your sister-in-law knows, I wouldn’t be bullied by you like this!" Connie huffed, giving him a glare before sprinting down the stairs.

"Who’s bullying you? I’ll avenge you!" A voice drawled as someone leisurely walked into the room.

Connie couldn’t help but laugh when she turned and saw him.

Hearing the commotion, Yi Luowa came running out of the dining room. "Whoa! Did you just get back from Africa? How are you this tan?"
