Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 283: Dimensional Detour
Unknown Dimensional Realm
Pinecone Galaxy
January 20th
Year 2019
Jamie stood in a seemingly endless expanse of white.
The blankness around him was eerily reminiscent of the sterile rooms reserved for psychiatric patients.
He expanded his spatial perception to its limit and quickly realized that this space wasn’t as infinite as it appeared.
It was, in fact, rather small.
’About the size of an average planet’s surface area, perhaps?’
Of course, Jamie’s perception of small was also rather skewed.
But given the dense concentration of ambient energy within the space, its actual size was far less significant than he’d initially expected.
’This means breaking out of it would be much harder...’
Jamie sighed at the realization before focusing on the basketball-sized orb of power resting in his palm.
The fragment of his power whose lingering connection to the Amphitheatre of Eternity had been exploited to drag him into this space.
He scanned it over and over, confirming that every last vestige of the Amphitheatre’s connection had been erased.
Now, it was just a normal fragment of his power.
If this fragment were granted to a Mortal, it would be enough to instantly elevate them to at least a High-Tier Deity—assuming, of course, they weren’t overloaded and blown to smithereens by the overwhelming cosmic energy.
Jamie had fragments of his power scattered across various locations in the Universe. Some were in places that he had long since forgotten.
However, he did remember two specific fragments located in the Pinecone Galaxy.
One was the orb currently hovering above his palm.
The other was on a High-Level World named Kaelithis, situated in the Knesix Dimension, a few hundred thousand lightyears from the Amphitheatre.
Kaelithis was Jamie’s next destination after the Amphitheatre.
While there were power fragments closer to the Vela Galaxy, scattered across nearby galaxies and dimensions, Jamie chose to come to Pinecone first for two reasons.
The first was that the fragment in the Amphitheatre was one of the larger ones.
The second—and far more compelling—reason was the nature of the fragment on Kaelithis.
Unlike the orb in his palm, that fragment wasn’t just raw power.
It was actually a piece of Jamie’s Spatial Aspect Manifestation.
To explain an ’Aspect Manifestation’, one first had to understand what an ’Aspect’ was. And to grasp that, it was essential to know what happened after one fully comprehended all Ranks of Universal Laws.
Once an individual mastered Universal Laws, they needed to gain a deeper insight into them—an understanding of how these laws interconnected with the fabric of existence and how they were derived from the foundational Concepts of the Cosmos.
After this, they assimilated these laws into their Souls, elevating their Law Origin Cores to an entirely new level. From these assimilated laws, an individual could then coin an Aspect—a personalized representation of the laws they had deeply understood.
This Aspect became the core source of their ’power’ for a significant period, making their Authorities effective against opponents within Existence Realms of that level.
Physically manifesting an Aspect, however, was a feat only achievable much further down the line.
For instance, the Aspect of the Space Snake that Jamie’s Replica had used against John was one such manifestation. Another example was the Aspect of the Wolf, which Jamie and his younger sister had employed on numerous occasions.
The question of why one would manifest their Aspect physically naturally arose, but there were a variety of reasons.
Coating one’s weapons with this power, or wielding it directly as a weapon, were two of the primary and most common reasons.
Jamie had done the latter, and in doing so, a fragment of that Manifestation had broken off.
Naturally, he had not manifested it for the fun of it—he had been in a battle where that level of seriousness was required to secure victory, and his opponent had managed to break off a piece of this Aspect Manifestation.
After defeating his opponent, Jamie had simply left the broken fragment behind on that world—this time, for the fun of it.
Living for hundreds of millions of years could easily drive someone to madness if they weren’t careful. That was part of the reason Jamie always sought amusement, making up a solid 10% of his motivation.
As for the remaining 90%? That was, of course, driven by his inherently hedonistic nature.
And so, Jamie had left the fragment behind, curious to see how those who stumbled upon it might use its power.
Eventually, he grew bored of watching them and left the galaxy without reclaiming the fragment.
Now, however, he wanted it back.
Jamie had planned to retrieve the fragment after collecting the power from the Amphitheatre, intending to absorb both together. The fragment was meant to assist him in processing the power of the other Existences whose Data was stored in Level 6 of the Amphitheatre’s Archives.
Since the other power fragments in the Amphitheatre belonged to different people, there was bound to be some rejection in absorbing it so Jamie planned to use the Aspect manifestation Fragment to aid in this process.
However, due to John’s interference, the power Jamie had retrieved from the Amphitheatre ended up being far less than anticipated. As a result, he no longer needed the fragment’s assistance.
That didn’t mean he wasn’t going to reclaim it, though.
Since controlling the power he’d taken from his Replica did not require the fragment’s aid, Jamie had planned to absorb the power first and retrieve the fragment afterwards.
But someone had redirected him to this strange dimensional realm instead.
Clicking his tongue in irritation, Jamie coated the giant orb of cosmic energy with the power of his Imperial Privileges, isolating it to prevent dissipation. He then stored it in his Subspace.
Taking a single step forward, he crossed the vast distance to the ’end’ of the space in an instant.
He raised his palm and pressed it against the invisible wall before him, and soon, a door-sized opening was torn in the spatial wall.
Beyond it lay a dark, void-like curtain. With a slight push, he parted it, revealing the next space within the dimensional realm.
In the short time he’d been here, Jamie had scanned as much of the realm as possible and discerned its structure.
If the entire dimensional realm could be compared to a house, the space he was in was merely one room.
This room was directly connected to another, which was connected to yet another, forming a linear series of spaces. Each room varied in size and contents, but their interiors remained imperceptible until Jamie physically entered them.
The space he’d been redirected to seemed to be the first room. Now, he stepped into the second.
What greeted him there, however, caught him by surprise.
"Of all things, I certainly didn’t expect to see someone else here."
