Beyond the Bloodline-Chapter 263: Dimensional Rupture
The violent streams of energy were fired in all directions, with one of them passing just over their heads.
But despite how close it got, Jamie didn’t flinch, clearly unconcerned by it.
"Ignore the roar. Take these guy—!!"
Jamie’s words were cut off at space itself sent him a warning. His head snapped in the direction of two of the breath attacks from the dragon’s head and his expression darkened.
"Fuck."
He cursed under his breath, mentally scolding the him of a few seconds ago who decided to ignore the breath attacks.
Those two breath attacks were heading straight in the direction of the portal, the one that had brought them into this snowy realm.
It had swirled shut after they entered, but the link between this realm and the planet Estea was still there, hidden just beneath the surface.
The space in that area was unstable due to the ’hole’ that had been torn through it, which had only been temporarily sealed.
If the right ’conditions’ were met to ’clear’ this snowy ’dungeon realm’, the portal would reopen, allowing them to return.
However, if the breath attack of a low-tier deity like the eight-headed dragon were to strike this delicate space—
**KAABOOOOOOM!!!
—the resulting explosion would cause the surrounding space to fracture. The seal covering the ’hole’ in space shattered, and the portal to Estea was forcibly recreated.
But calling it a portal was an understatement. It was more of a dimensional rift—an uncontrollable tear in space—that began to pull everything from the snowy realm into it.
A rift like this would suck up the land, the environment, and anything caught in its pull, before forcefully spitting it out into Estea.
And that’s exactly what happened.
The force of the dimensional rift was absolute and terrifying.
Space itself warped and contorted as the rift widened, and the powerful suction tore through the landscape like an unstoppable tide.
The snowy forest itself was ripped from the ground. Trees were torn from their roots, their trunks snapping like twigs, their branches flying in every direction, carried away by the violent pull of the rift.
Mountain groaned and split apart, their massive rocks shattered and ripped free from the earth. Pieces of stone the size of houses were dragged upwards, their jagged edges slicing through the air like deadly projectiles before they were sucked into the rift.
The ice elves, those unlucky enough to remain in their village, were not spared. Buildings were torn from their foundations, collapsing in on themselves as the village was uprooted from the land. The remaining elves were dragged along, their bodies pulled mercilessly toward the rift.
Their screams echoed as they were torn apart by the strong force of space itself.
David, Davina, Wanette, Jamie, and the adventurers from the Iron Fang Guild were not exempt from the rift’s pull.
Their bodies were wrenched toward the rift, but luckily for them, Jamie was around, so his spatial energy bubble shielded them from being ripped apart.
However, everything outside of that bubble—everything not under Jamie’s protection—was violently ripped from the ground.
Even the massive eight-headed dragon, with all its power, could not resist space’s pull. Its gargantuan body was yanked by the rift and drawn into it along with everything else.
The rift consumed all, from the smallest fragment of earth to the largest creature, before forcefully expelling them into the other side—onto Estea.

Halrith City
Efvahona Region (Elf)
Neutral Continent
December 6th
Year 2018
The Halrith City branch of the Adventurers Management Association was in a frenzy.
A gate had malfunctioned in a way they had never encountered before, and the adventurers of the top guild in the city were caught inside.
Researchers and mages surrounded the sealed portal, monitoring the situation with increasing concern.
The plan was simple: study the gate and try to reverse the malfunction to bring the stranded adventurers back.
But as they continued their work, one of the monitors blinked to life, signalling an unexpected spike in spatial activity.
One of the technicians noticed this and muttered with wide eyes.
"It’s... opening?"
He leaned closer to the screen, only to frown in confusion. The readings weren’t stable. They weren’t even close to being stable. The spike in energy fluctuated violently, jumping in and out of coherence.
"Unstable spatial energy! Everyone get back, now!"
Sadly, no one present was fast enough to react to his warning.
The energy of the sealed portal began to swirl and with a deafening roar, the gate exploded outward.
Spatial power surged, ripping through everything in sight.
Equipment toppled, glass broke and structures crumbled into dust. The force of the explosion was so intense that the ground shook, and a blinding flash of light engulfed the area.
Unfortunately for the people of Halrith, the explosion did not stop there.
The portal widened in size until the rift was large enough to be seen from everywhere in Halrith. Then, the giant body of the eight-headed dragon was flung out violently.
It crashed down onto the streets, its form skidding across the urban landscape, crushing buildings and infrastructure beneath it like a child tossing aside toys.
The deafening crash was accompanied by the sound of tearing metal and splintering stone. People screamed in terror, their lives ending in a storm of chaos as the dragon’s massive body flattened entire city blocks, its tails whipping around like battering rams, knocking down anything in its path.
ROOARRRRR!!!!
The dragon’s roar filled the air, echoing through the city as its heads thrashed, disoriented but furious. Buildings collapsed, sending clouds of dust and debris into the air.
Amidst the chaos, Jamie and the others were flung from the rift as well, but Jamie’s protective bubble of cosmic energy shielded them from being crushed.
As they landed, Jamie’s expression darkened as he surveyed the destruction and cursed under his breath.
"Fuck."
With such a wide breach in space, he could already tell how pissed ’Estea’ was going to be.
Before anything could happen, Jamie held up his hands in surrender and spoke.
"For the record, Estea, this was not my fault. I did not do this. It’s the dragon. Blame the dragon."
David, Davina, and Wanette exchanged confused glances, unsure of who Jamie was speaking to.
Only Jamie understood that he needed to get the planet’s consciousness that was already glaring at him to stop.
But truly, it wasn’t his fault. Not in the slightest.
All he did was enter the dungeon. He had nothing to do with the malfunctioning of the gate, and he sure as hell wasn’t the one who summoned the dragon.
He had planned to fight the beast in the other realm, not drag it into Estea. But the dragon—that was the true cause of all this destruction.
It was the one responsible for shattering space and pulling everything into this world.
After absolving himself of the blame, Jamie turned to the others around him and spoke.
"Get as far away as you can. I’m going to kill that oversized lizard now."
With those words, Jamie disappeared, reappearing directly under the dragon’s neck with his arm pulled back.
!!
The dragon sensed Jamie at the last moment, but there was nothing it could do to stop the fist coated in cosmic energy that crashed down on its chest with an earth-shattering impact.
Authority of Gravity
The weight behind Jamie’s fist was amplified by a burst of gravitational power magnified exponentially.
The dragon’s scales shattered upon contact, splintering like glass under the weight of Jamie’s punch.
It let out a screech of agony as the force of the impact sent its massive body hurtling through the air and towards the rift.
Sadly, the rift had shrunken a bit—Estea’s automatic spatial repair at work—so it wasn’t wide enough for the dragon to fall through. As such, it ended up crashing into the ’air’ and collapsing to the ground in a heap.
Blood seeped from the shattered scales on its chest and the dragon roared in rage once more, four of its eight heads wincing in pain while the other four looked around to find the culprit of its pain.
Jamie landed atop what was left of a building and snapped his fingers, expanding his spatial power to cover the entire city.
He conjured a dome-shaped barrier over Halrith City, one designed to contain the impending devastation.
Knowing all too well the kind of destruction a battle between Deities could unleash, Jamie had to do this to keep the entirety of the Efvahona Region from being deleted off the map.
