Chapter 165: Interlude 1-2: On That Day, Twelve Thousand Years Ago II

"The target here is Demon Sword ’Slaifdein’, so Jamie’s gonna have to get a teeny bit serious."

"Would you be accompanying him, or would Lord Westley handle it alone?"

The Elf, Ghyrre, posed this question to Miranda and hearing the name ’Westley’, the kneeling Race Lords reacted with shock.

Now it made much more sense why their masters were being so reverent; the silver-haired man was a Westley!

No one in the Interstellar Stage didn’t know the name ’Westley’.

If you said that name, then you were referring to the Apex World Estea’s Westley Werewolf Clan!

Then again, they didn’t know that this man wasn’t just any Westley, but one of the Clan’s current Ancestors.

Miranda skipped her way to where Jamie stood at the top of the Observation Deck and wrapped her arms around his waist, placing her chin on his shoulder as she spoke.

"Are you still pissed?"

"No. And come down already."

Jamie grabbed Miranda’s hands and pulled her over to his front, before pushing her shoulders down to ground her.

Due to their height difference, Miranda couldn’t place her chin on Jamie’s shoulder without levitating a bit, and that was what she had just done.

She could increase her height; however, she hardly did that. She, like Jamie, preferred to stick with the appearances they had as at the time they reached the peak of physical maturity and stopped ageing.

Miranda remained silent in Jamie’s arms as she watched the six ’assistants’ she had brought over disappear into the deep field of stars around them.

A few minutes passed and finally, Miranda spoke up.

"They’re in position."

"Good."

Jamie unfurled his arms from Miranda’s waist, before taking a step forward and vanishing in a small flash of light.

It was finally time for him to take action.

Nameless Battlefield

Planet Touclite

Calesius Galaxy

August 12th

Year 9938

Amidst a gruesome landscape of death and decay on a planet in the next star system from Deron HQ’s, a red-eyed man clad in ragged robes sat upon a throne crafted from the bones of countless victims.

His throne stood atop a mountain of corpses, towering a thousand meters high.

The nameless battlefield below was drenched in blood and gore, with rivers of crimson, green, and various other hues cascading down the mound like grotesque fountains.

The faces of the deceased, twisted in eternal horror, stared blankly into the sky. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Above this macabre scene, Jamie floated in the sky, his expression unchanging, seemingly unmoved by the horror and devastation beneath him.

"Distasteful."

That one word escaped Jamie’s lips as he glanced at the rivers of blood below him.

"So much blood going to waste."

It turned out that he wasn’t bothered about the massacre, but the fact that the blood from the Massacre was going to waste.

Ignoring his statement, the man wearing tattered robes looked up at Jamie, his eyes narrowing as he spoke.

"You...you’re not like those other Deities calling themselves Kings. You’re different..."

It was an observation made as a result of the warning his instincts sent out to him upon setting eyes on Jamie.

He tried to appraise the Hybrid, but...

Only the first three lines gave him clean data. The rest of Jamie’s status board was filled with a bunch of glitched text that was honestly hard to look at.

"Your Deity Level...do you even have a Deity Level?"

The man questioned what kind of Existence Jamie was and Jamie’s reply left him surprised.

"Deity Level? I left that shit behind over a billion years ago."

Jamie then held up his hand and all the countless rivers of blood stopped flowing. Next, the blood floated up from the ground and seeing this astonishing display of blood control, the man cursed out.

"Fuck...a Vampire!"

Still, there was a piece of doubt in his mind, as he had never heard of any Vampire who had lived as long as Jamie had said.

’There shouldn’t be any Vampires that old left after the ’Destruction Supreme’ wreaked havoc 500 Cosmic Cycles ago!’

These thoughts were relegated to the back of his mind as right now, he had to face this man who was definitely here to kill him.

He was the current host of the Demon Sword Slaifdein, after all.

The ’Mad King’ Yuliv!

Yuliv charged forward at light speed, reaching Jamie faster than the blood could reach him. He held out his right hand and a gleaming silver sword manifested in his grip.

With this sword, he stabbed right into Jamie’s chest, however—

***CRACK-SSHHHRING!

—the sword shattered to pieces upon contact with Jamie’s body.

"What?!"

A shocked expression manifested on Yuliv’s face at this sight. It quickly changed to fear in the next moment as Jamie cursed.

"Fucking Hell."

Faster than Yuliv’s brain could compute, Jamie’s hand blurred and a fist of azure blue lightning and flames crashed in on the side of his head, sending his whole body hurtling through the air for kilometres on end.

Jamie glanced in his direction and millions of blood spears were conjured from the never-ending rivers of blood on the floor.

With but a thought, Jamie sent all of them flying towards the man while his gaze went down to his suit.

Seeing the small tear on his white shirt, his brow twitched in anger.

"Mira had this custom made for me, and you nameless bastard dared...!"

Yuliv felt his blood turn cold when Jamie’s voice reached his ears, and rather than wondering how the sound got to him despite their distance, he focused on the more imminent threat in the form of the millions of blood spears trying to turn him into a porcupine.

Flipping his body around, he landed on the floor and conjured blades upon blades of silver, using them to slash at the blood spears while also moving his body to dodge the majority of them.

Explosions rang out as the blood spears crashed on the ground and ignited, surprising Yuliv even more as he not only had to worry about blood but fire as well.

’Who the hell did those guys call?!’

Just as he thought that, one of the blood spears transformed mid-air, changing forms into a sledgehammer, another changed to a sword, a third changed to an axe and they shot towards him with twice their already ridiculous speed.

’I have to escape this onslaught!’

He released a burst of pure destructive energy that vaporized all the blood weaponry within a kilometre of his position, however, that space was almost instantly filled up again.

Yuliv gritted his teeth and ran forward, vaulting over one spear, twisting his upper body to dodge the sledgehammer, rolling to the side to avoid the axe and then swinging his blade to block the sword.

He repeated these motions at hypersonic speed, crossing the kilometres of distance between him and Jamie who was too busy fixing his suit.

Suddenly, Jamie’s pupils turned in his direction and hand constructs of blood emerged from the ground, grabbing his legs and holding him in place.

In the split second that he was immobilized, a sea of blood surged from behind, engulfing him with its waves.

Twisting his hands, Jamie swirled the blood around Yuliv and encased the man in a giant orb of blood with only his leg sticking out.

He then clenched his fists, causing the blood to contract, pressing on Yuliv from all directions to pulverize him.

"Hmm?"

Jamie sensed a distortion in space and his eyes darted to his right side, just in time for a silver sword floating around to disappear, with a bloodied Yuliv appearing in his place.

Yuliv’s eyes widened when he saw Jamie was already looking in the direction he planned to strike from, and he quickly cancelled his attack and leapt back.

A wise decision, as a giant fist of blood descended from the heavens and punched through where he was, crashing onto the earth below with so much force that it broke through the planet’s crust and reached the magma layer.

But just as Yuliv landed on the ground, the blood around his feet coagulated to hold him in place, before dozens of blood spears emerged from the ground and pierced him all over.

His powerful durability was ignored completely by Jamie’s spatial power, enabling the blood spears to draw blood from him.

’Fuck! Trying to fight him on this planet was a mistake! Didn’t think they’d send a vampire!’

Yuliv frowned as he forced himself free from the blood spears, throwing a backflip to avoid the five others that pierced down from above before landing atop a corpse.

"You control blood, but I can control the bodies the blood came from!"

With that declaration, Yuliv activated an ability he gained as the Host of Slaifdein, releasing waves of death law energy that permeated into the millions of corpses around him.

They twitched repeatedly, before slowly rising to their feet in unison, their blank eyes glowing with eerie red light.

"Oh, so that’s why you were waiting here."

Understanding this, Jamie nodded and scanned the levels of all the undead charging towards him.

’Deity Level 500? This guy has Race Lords as undead...pretty powerful.’

Many of these undead were mages in their lives, and they retained their powerful magic even after death.

What followed was a bombardment of countless beams of multi-coloured lights, striking Jamie from all directions.

Curses and hexes of all kinds were layered on him and even space was sealed to prevent him from escaping.

Unfortunately, trying to seal the Child of Space in Space...was one of the dumbest things you could do.

Jamie casually moved like normal even under the spatial seal, and to the millions of projectiles around him, he snapped his fingers and called out.

|Void. |

Space distorted, swirled into multiple points with then bloomed into blue-rimmed wormholes, paving the way for eerie darkness that devoured all to gain access to the material world.

This darkness which was the antithesis of all matter spilled outwards, removing all the energy and matter that comprised of the spells by simply making them disappear.

Yuliv felt chills down his spine at the sight of this, but those chills suddenly disappeared as the portals closed up.

’Can he not maintain those things for long?’

Wrong answer.

The real answer was that Miranda scolded Jamie for destroying ’existence’ in that place, making it impossible for anything to exist there for the next few millennia when the Galaxy’s automatic repair could finally work.

As his dear lover had stopped him from using his true Void, he decided to go with a different approach.

He looked up and ascended high into the sky, with Yuliv sending the countless undead after him, wielding weapons and magic of all kinds.

Reaching the limit of the planet’s atmosphere, Jamie spread out his arms and looked down before declaring.

|Black Starfall|

His skill was activated and gravity distorted at multiple points around him. The distortions did not interfere with one another because of the spatial power separating them, allowing for thousands of these distortions to bloom undisturbed.

When Gravity was distorted to the limit, breaking down space to form singularities...you usually got a Black Hole.

And that was what Jamie rained down on the corpses.

Thousands of mini black holes with small masses that could not absorb too much matter before reaching their limit. When they reached these limits, they violently vomited the matter they absorbed in the form of pure energy, which was then ignited into dark explosions.
