Beneath the Surface: Secrets of an Obsessed Heart-Chapter 142 - 141
Chapter 142: Chapter 141
By the time Raiden finished his last meeting, the sun was already dipping toward the horizon, painting the sky in soft shades of orange and gold. His day had been long, filled with tedious discussions and negotiations, but all of that faded into the background as he hurried to one of Hiro’s favourite restaurants. He ordered their usual, double-checking everything to make sure it was perfect, before making his way back to the office with the bags of food in hand and the moment he stepped inside, his breath hitched.
The floor-to-ceiling windows behind the bed framed the breathtaking sunset, its warm hues spilling into the room and casting a golden glow over Hiro. The white sheets beneath him reflected the amber light, giving the entire space an ethereal feel.
Hiro was still asleep, curled around a pillow, his small body relaxed and peaceful. His sandy brown locks were tousled, a few stray strands falling over his face, and his soft lips were slightly parted as he breathed in slow, even intervals.
He was dressed in an oversized baby pink sweatshirt, the fabric slightly bunched up around his wrists, making him look even smaller and more delicate. The loose fit swallowed his frame, the neckline dipping just enough to expose the graceful curve of his collarbone. His black pants contrasted with the pastel top, hugging his legs comfortably but not too tight.
"Wow..." Raiden exhaled, stepping into the office and locking the door behind him. He set the bags of food down on the coffee table and without a second thought, moved toward the bed, unable to tear his gaze away from the sight before him.
Hiro looked so damn adorable, and Raiden’s chest ached with the urge to hold him. He hadn’t had the chance to do so the entire day so he quickly sat down on the edge of the bed, leaning over to press a gentle kiss to Hiro’s warm cheek. His arms wrapped around Hiro’s small frame, pulling him in as he whispered, "Wake up, baby. I miss you."
He felt a bit jealous also, for his bed and office had Hiro to themselves all day while he was alone going through boring meetings. Only thoughts of Hiro and their passionate lovemaking kept him entertained.
Hiro let out a sleepy murmur, his brows knitting together as Raiden began peppering kisses all over his face. He squirmed at first, shifting under the attention, but soon, his arms found their way around Raiden’s neck when he smelt Raiden’s familiar scent. He let out a content sigh, his voice soft and drowsy.
"You’re back," he murmured, still not opening his eyes.
Raiden chuckled, pressing a kiss to the tip of his nose. "Yes, baby. I’m back."
Hiro nuzzled closer, tightening his grip around Raiden. "Did I sleep for too long?"
Raiden smoothed a hand down his back, reveling in the warmth of his body. "Not at all. You needed the rest."
Hiro hummed, still unwilling to move. "Mmm... let’s stay like this for a bit." He loved it when Raiden hugs him or holds him. He always felt so secure and loved. He never thought a day would come where he would want Yamato Raiden to hold him, hug him, and kiss him.
Raiden didn’t mind staying like that at all. If anything, he wanted to keep Hiro in his arms forever. With a content sigh, he shifted onto his side, pulling Hiro snugly against him. His arms wrapped around Hiro’s smaller frame, holding him close as they lay together in peaceful silence.
The warmth of Hiro’s body, the steady rise and fall of his chest, and the way he fit so perfectly in Raiden’s embrace made it impossible to think about anything else. It had always been Hiro. He knew it since he first met the crying boy in the park. He knew they were destined. At that time, he just didn’t know how but later on, he realised that Hiro meant more to him than he ever thought. He wanted Hiro now and forever and even beyond that if that was possible. He never wanted to be away.
With Hiro he found peace, found joy, found love.
After a few seconds, Hiro’s eyelashes fluttered, and he let out a small noise of discomfort before squirming. His sleepy eyes blinked up at Raiden before he muttered, “We did it a lot. How are you still hard?” He could feel Raiden’s thick rod poking his thigh.
Raiden smirked, his smokey grey eyes twinkling in amusement. “It’s your fault for being so sexy baby. You smell so good and feel so warm. How can I possibly not want to fuck you?” He teased, slipping a hand under Hiro’s shirt and stroking his waist. “I’m practically always half-hard around you anyway. Don’t worry, I can control myself... unlike a little someone.”
Hiro flushed instantly, his ears burning bright red. In a barely audible whisper, he mumbled as he played with Raiden’s button. “You know... I can help you with it.”
Raiden chuckled, but he shook his head, brushing his lips against Hiro’s forehead. “Let’s leave that for tonight. At the party.” He winked, making Hiro’s blush deepen before capturing his lips in a soft, lingering kiss.
Then, with no warning, Raiden effortlessly scooped Hiro up in his arms. Hiro yelped, then giggled, wrapping his arms around Raiden’s neck as he was carried across the room. He loved how Raiden always took care of him, never missing a single opportunity to help—even when it wasn’t necessary.
Raiden moved them to the couch, settling down with Hiro still in his lap. Hiro only hummed in response, feeling perfectly content in Raiden’s arms as he let himself be spoiled.
Raiden reached over to the coffee table and opened the neatly packed containers, the rich aroma of the food filling the room instantly. The meal he had picked up was a luxurious Japanese spread—perfectly seared wagyu beef, buttery miso-glazed black cod, grilled eel draped over rice, and an assortment of fresh sashimi, including fatty tuna and sweet shrimp. There was also a side of steaming miso soup, delicate chawanmushi, a bottle of strawberry milk and two bottles of water.
Hiro’s mouth watered the moment the scent hit his nose, and his eyes gleamed with excitement. His stomach let out a quiet grumble, and he eagerly sat up, ready to dig in.
Raiden chuckled at his reaction and picked up a pair of chopsticks. "Alright, let’s get some food in you, baby."
