Chapter 526: Fighting Against Ares’s Army

A crimson aura erupted around him. Space distorted.

"Ares. Your family has taken my daughter from me..." He slowly turned toward the mountain of Olympus.

"Now I’m coming for you."

Hela stepped beside him. Artemis followed, bow clenched. Demeter and Persephone walked behind. Keres crawled after him, her head bowed like a servant obeying her master.

Cereberus growled and began walking as well, ready to tear apart Olympus if commanded.

Sharky didn’t stop any of them.

He wanted Ares cornered. He wanted answers. He wanted the truth of Echidna. He wanted his daughter.

And he would tear Olympus apart if needed.

Artemis stepped forward, her silver eyes sharp with urgency.

"Sharky... don’t confront Ares through the front gates."

He turned to her, his gaze burning red, wrath barely contained.

"There is an old war-path beneath Olympus," Artemis continued. "A hidden canyon route Ares once used during the Titanomachy."

She pointed toward a massive, shadowed gorge carved deep into the base of Olympus itself.

"No guards. No alarms. Only abandoned monsters and forgotten traps."

Demeter nodded in agreement, "It is the safest way to reach Ares without Olympus interfering."

Sharky held their words for a moment, then gave a slow, decisive nod, "Then that is how I enter."

---

Deep within his fortress, Ares raged.

Weapons lay shattered across the chamber. Statues lay broken. Cracks spidered through the walls. Even his war-hounds cowered, whining low as the god of war’s fury boiled over.

"DEIMOS... PHOBOS... BOTH GONE!"

Enyo sat nearby, her face still flushed, unable to meet his eyes, for reasons he did not understand and would soon learn.

Ares roared, his voice shaking the citadel itself.

"IT WAS THAT ASGARDIAN! THAT MORTAL! THAT, SHARKY VALOR!"

He slammed his spear into the floor, the impact sending shockwaves through the realm.

Within the roaring flames of the war brazier, an image shimmered, Sharky approaching Olympus.

Ares’ fury twisted into a savage grin, "He is coming for me... good."

Bloodlust gleamed in his eyes. "Then I will meet him with WAR."

He donned his blood-red armor, fastening it piece by piece. He seized his sword. His shield. His war-hounds rose beside him as a violent red aura erupted from his body.

"THIS TIME," Ares thundered, "I WILL KILL HIM MYSELF."

---

Back at Olympus, as Sharky prepared to enter the hidden canyon, thunder tore across the sky.

A blinding golden flash split the heavens. Zeus descended.

He landed directly before Sharky, lightning crawling across his body like living veins of power. Athena stood at his right, spear gleaming. Hermes hovered at his left, wings trembling with unease.

"Stop," Zeus commanded. "You will not take another step."

Instantly, the goddesses moved.

Artemis stepped in front of Sharky, bow drawn, moonlight coiling along the string. Demeter slammed her staff down, roots and thorned vines erupting from the stone. Persephone’s hands glowed as death-blossoms bloomed at her feet. Keres lowered herself into a predatory crouch, growling like a war-beast awaiting command.

But Sharky raised one hand. They stopped. He stepped forward alone.

"If you want to stop me," he said calmly, "you will need more than lightning."

Zeus’ brow furrowed. "I do not wish for war between Olympus and Asgard."

Sharky’s gaze never wavered. "Ares began this war himself. He kidnapped my son. His family took my daughter. He destroyed my peace."

Zeus’ expression darkened. "Sharky Valor... I will not allow you to kill Ares."

Sharky leaned closer, his voice dropping, quiet, lethal. "Then you will watch him die anyway."

Lightning cracked so close the ground split beneath them. Zeus felt it.

He had seen Deimos erased. He had seen a god end in a single instant.

Zeus clenched his jaw. "Sharky... if you confront Ares, it will ignite a divine war."

"I am not here for war," Sharky replied evenly.

"I am here for answers. But if answers require war, then I am ready."

Thunder rolled. For a long moment, Zeus said nothing. Then, finally, he stepped back. "...Then go."

His eyes hardened. "But know this, if you kill Ares, Olympus will retaliate."

Sharky walked past him.

Without turning back, he said, "Then tell Olympus to prepare."

And he descended into the secret canyon, straight toward the God of War.

---

The hidden canyon Artemis showed Sharky was ancient, carved by god-battles older than Olympus itself.

The walls were blackened by divine fire. Rusted weapons floated unnaturally in midair, trapped inside frozen time-warp scars. Bones of forgotten monsters lay fused into the stone.

As Sharky walked forward... The canyon awakened.

Crimson glyphs ignited along the rock faces, pulsing like open wounds. From the cracks in the stone, figures began to rise.

War Spirits.

They had no faces, only glowing red helms and burning spears clutched in spectral hands. Shadows of soldiers who had died for Ares, bound forever to his war-path.

Their voices merged into a single roar. "PROTECT THE WAR GOD!"

They surged forward. Sharky lifted one hand. Luminara energy flared.

The war spirits didn’t scream. They didn’t resist. They simply unraveled, melting into particles of mana that scattered like dust and vanished.

Behind him, Artemis stared, stunned.

"He didn’t even use killing intent," she whispered. "He just... erased them."

Demeter’s expression hardened, "Ares has no idea what he’s provoking."

Sharky continued forward, unbothered. With each step, the canyon trembled, as if the land itself sensed what was coming.

---

Near the canyon’s exit, a figure dropped from the cliffs above.

Enyo.

She landed hard, knees buckling slightly, her legs still unsteady from Sharky’s earlier punishment. Her armor sat crooked on her body. Her hair was disheveled. Her face burned red.

But her eyes were serious. "Sharky... stop."

He didn’t slow.

She stepped into his path, trembling but resolute. "Ares isn’t waiting for a duel," she said. "He has created a trap for you."

Sharky’s eyes narrowed. "And you’re here to save him?"

Enyo shook her head sharply.

"No! I don’t care about Ares—" She swallowed, cheeks flushing deeper. "I’m here because... you’re my lover now. And I won’t let you walk into a slaughter ambush."

Artemis stiffened. Demeter folded her arms, eyes sharp. Persephone looked away, blushing faintly.

Enyo stepped closer.

"Ares is gathering everything, every war-beast, every divine weapon, every cursed soldier inside his fortress. He plans to strike the instant you cross the threshold."

Sharky met her gaze. "I appreciate the warning," he said calmly. "But I am not going there to fight."

His aura darkened. "I am going there to end this."

Enyo felt it, his power rising like a collapsing star. Her eyes widened. She backed away quickly, whispering in awe and fear, "...Olympus will tremble today."

She vanished into the shadows, unable to stand between Sharky Valor and the God of War.

---

Inside his citadel, the Bloodiron Fortress, Ares prepared for war.

The fortress was colossal, forged from black steel and soaked in the echoes of centuries of divine slaughter. Its walls were scarred by ancient weapons, its floors stained with the memory of blood spilled in forgotten wars.

Within the great hall, massive war banners hung like flayed skins, still dripping with fresh blood. Flaming braziers roared like chained beasts, casting violent shadows across the chamber.

Rows of war automatons, constructs born of iron and rage, stood motionless, eyes glowing red.

Ancient mythic beasts paced restlessly, manticores snapping their tails, chimeras growling, cyclopes dragging massive clubs across the stone.

Cursed soldiers clad in glowing crimson armor shouted war chants in unison, their voices shaking the fortress. A massive divine battering ram was positioned toward the gates, its runes burning with destructive intent.

And at the center of it all—

ARES.

He stood clad in full blood-red armor, veins glowing beneath the metal like molten fire. His war-spear burned like a miniature sun, radiating pure violence.

He slammed it into the ground.

"LISTEN, MY ARMY!"

The fortress fell instantly silent.

"The MORTAL who killed my sons walks toward this fortress!"

His shield rose, blazing with wrath.

"No god stops him, no Olympus survives without vengeance!"

He pointed toward the canyon exit beyond the gates. "When he steps through that gate—ATTACK WITH EVERYTHING!"

The entire fortress erupted. Weapons clanged. Beasts howled. The ground shook beneath the roar of war.

Ares grinned, wide, bloodthirsty, manic. Lp"Sharky Valor..." he snarled. "COME TO YOUR DEATH."

---

When Sharky stepped out of the canyon, Ares’ fortress loomed before him, massive, towering like a mountain forged of rage and steel.

The gates opened. And the entire War Legion of Ares charged at once.

War-beasts roared. Cursed soldiers screamed. Iron automatons marched in thunderous unison.

Manticores, chimeras, cyclopes, hundreds upon hundreds, surged forward in a living tide of destruction.

Behind Sharky, Artemis whispered in awe, "It’s a full-scale war... started by one god."

Demeter trembled. "Ares has lost his mind..."

Persephone clung to Demeter’s arm, eyes wide with fear.

Keres dropped to one knee behind Sharky, shaking as she whispered, "Master... destroy them."

Hela, standing apart from the chaos, remained calm. Sigurd rested securely in her bosom, his small presence steadying her heart. She did not doubt for a moment. Her faith in her husband was absolute.

Sharky stepped forward. His voice was calm. "Move."

The army did not slow down. Sharky closed his eyes and activated the power of Crystal Freeze.

A wave of absolute cold detonated outward. Every creature froze mid-roar. Every blade halted mid-swing. Even the air crystallized into diamond frost.

A single heartbeat of silence.

Then—CRACK—CRACK—CRACK—BOOOOOOM!

The frozen army shattered across the battlefield.

Divine monsters broke apart like glass, their remains dissolving into shimmering dust. Soldiers exploded into fragments of ice and mana. War machines collapsed into glittering debris.

The battlefield was wiped clean.

Artemis gasped, voice barely a whisper. "...one attack wiped out Ares’ entire army..."

Even Demeter, usually unshaken, whispered softly, "Ares has provoked a disaster."

Hela lowered her gaze to the child in her arms and gently tickled Sigurd’s side, her voice warm despite the chaos.

"Look, your daddy is destroying everything for your sister," she said quietly. "When you grow up... you’ll do the same for your mother and sister, won’t you?"

Whether Sigurd understood or not, Hela could not tell.

But the infant’s eyes glowed faintly as he let out a small squeak, his tiny fist clenching tightly, as if answering his vow in his own way.
