Beginning Of Multiverse Saga-Chapter 152: Test Decided For Crown Prince

"The academy strictly prohibits fights. Especially with statuses like ours, it would cause too much of a commotion if we really fought. Teacher might put us in detention! With my personality, I really wouldn’t be able to tolerate an isolation room where I had no one to talk to!" Johnny exclaimed.

Liana’s expression changed. She clearly had some lingering fears toward that isolation room too.

"How about this? I’ve been quite distressed about something. If the twelfth brother can answer my question, then I’ll willingly go back to where I came from, and I won’t bother you anymore," Johnny said with a giggle.

Liana was going to deny it, but Sharky stopped here, "You fatty asked the question, and if I will reply to you, I will beat you."

"Okay, then reply to me, I’ve been studying a theory recently... A bird’s shadow never moves." Johnny was scared that he would refuse and quickly said.

"Of course this is simple, the bird’s shadow always moves! Wherever the bird moves, its shadow naturally follows it wherever it goes." Sharky replied.

"Oh, but that may not be, you see." Johnny had a complacent smile on his face. He shook his head and said, "The bird’s shadow isn’t moving, because the bird and the shadow are linked together. New shadows are produced, while old shadows fade. It merely creates an illusion of moving."

"You are wrong," Sharky replied.

"How? Prove me," Fatty asked.

"If you found the answer to my similar question, you can also get your own answer." Sharky said, then he continued, "When you walk by the lakeside in the evening, a bright moon hangs overhead. You’ll find that the inverted image of the moon in the lake follows you as you walk. Are there countless figures in the lake, or is there only a single moon that follows you?"

Johnny replied, "Of course it’s a single moon. According to my theory just now, the moon’s reflection has never even moved."

Sharky smiled and said, "Suppose that there’s only one; then what about the person on the other side of the lake? Can it be that he won’t be able to see the same inverted image? In his eyes, that moon has always been following him, and the position of that moon is different from the one you see."

"Hm? Interesting..." Johnny continued to stroke his beard. "Then are there many of them?"

"Then if we say that there are many, why can you only see one?" Sharky asked.

Sharky and Liana continued their journey. And soon, they reached the Principal Scarlett place.

Sharky noticed the beautiful lotus pond, and he couldn’t resist the urge to get closer for a better look. The green lotus leaves in it refreshed the mind, as if they could instantly sweep away the fatigue of climbing the mountain. The lotus flowers of all sorts of different colors seemed to bring the whole place to life. Anyone would subconsciously want to pick one and fiddle around with it in their hands.

"I advise you not to pick any of the flowers." Liana seemed to have picked up on something and immediately cautioned Sharky, "Did you forget that, Teacher has beaten you because you picked a lotus flower many years ago."

Sharky’s hand trembled and he quickly pulled it back. "Thanks, I don’t want to imagine the painful scenery again."

"Good," Liana nodded.

A beautiful voice voiced her surprise within the courtyard deep within the trees. The distinguished lady seated across from her was also surprised and asked, "Principal Scarlett, is there something wrong?"

The Principal smiled and said, "It’s nothing much. Just like you, your brother has also come here."

These two were precisely Principal Scarlett and Crown Princess Catherine.

"Did he also come to ask for help?" Catherine asked, she continued, "Does he also want guidance regarding the crown prince’s great exam this time?"

"Although I do not want to participate in court politics. But since both of you have come here, I cannot ignore your brother’s words even if I don’t want to." Principal Scarlett said.

"I know," Catherine nodded, she knew better than others how much Principal Scarlett loved Sharky.

"So, you will really help the Crown Prince. Because due to his stupidity, this kind of great exam is unfair to begin with."

"Catherine, because of this, I want you to go outside and take back your brother. Tell him, I am not in the mood for a meeting," Scarlett smiled and said, "And, also you don’t need to be worried about the exam. There is some secret in the exam that I can’t help, but it’s all okay."

"Liana, let’s go to meet the teacher," Sharky said, and just as he turned, he was stunned. He saw a beautiful figure standing under the peach blossom trees.

Her long dress fluttered around, the ribbon tied around her waist making her figure look even more glamorous. Under the contrast of the peach blossoms, her charming face looked tender and beautiful. Who else could it be but Catherine.

He walked over and asked, "Catherine, what are you doing here?"

"For the same reason, you came here," Catherine replied, she continued, "Now, let’s go back, teacher is busy."

"Why? I need to ask the question, which teacher is going to set it for the fatty," Sharky replied.

"Just come with me, there is no need for this," Catherine said, she wants to take him back.

"What happened?" He asked, and he noticed there was a problem.

"Just come with me, teacher, don’t want to meet with you now," Catherine said, and she caught him.

"Sharky, I think you need to go back," Liana also said, since she noticed Catherine is in a serious mood.

Sharky nodded, he didn’t stop Catherine, and let her take him back. The two of them walked between the peach blossoms side by side. As a breeze blew about, endless peach blossoms fell from above, scattering down on their bodies.

The two walked along the small path side by side, their shoulders seemingly even touching a few times. The scene of the two embracing each other naked appears in Catherine’s mind. A flush of pink began to cover her entire face.

"What happened to you Catherine? Did you need some love seeds from me?" Sharky asked, looking at her blushing expression.

Catherine blushed a little, but she nodded, "Tonight spend the night with me."

Then they climbed into her carriage and returned back to the imperial palace. Since it was a Crown Princess carriage, no one dared to stop it. And soon, a passionate night was spent between Sharky and Catherine.

Catherine was discussing official business with important ministers inside. Sharky was also hearing her arrangement.

"As everyone knows, the crown prince’s test has already been decided?" Catherine asked.

"What is it?" Sharky asked.

Catherine continued. "It is decided that the dungeon in the royal academy’s rear mountain will open up in three days. The crown prince will kill the Serpent Of Silver Moon to prove his ability."

"Serpent Of Silver Moon?" Sharky was stunned. This didn’t sound like an easy foe at all!

"It’s a seventh ranked vicious beast. It’s much weaker than a dragon, but it’s a lot more formidable than ordinary beasts." Catherine looked worried.

Sharky was stunned. "Aren’t you just sending him to his grave then?"

He was no stranger to secret dungeons, and every single trip was a bitter struggle. Of course, those secret dungeons had all involved Unknowable Regions. However, even normal secret dungeons were dangerous.

If one put it nicely, this crown prince was simple, but if one were more straightforward, then he was someone who had learning difficulties and couldn’t function on his own. He probably wouldn’t be able to make it back after entering a secret dungeon even if he hadn’t been given any tasks, let alone if he had to kill a seventh ranked vicious beast!

Even though the seventh rank wasn’t high, would the crown prince be able to deal with it? It would make more sense if he ended up becoming a snack for that serpent.

Catherine said, "This is the proposal made by the ministers from King George’s side, so of course we’ll oppose it. Someone suggested that the crown prince was to become the future monarch and not a general who fights on the front lines, so it isn’t even his job to fight like this. Sharky nodded. "That’s pretty reasonable."

The crown prince’s side couldn’t exceed six ranks of cultivation, but they would have an advantage in numbers. The candidates that were picked will definitely have specialized skills. That way, even though killing that Serpent Of Silver Moon would be dangerous, it would still be possible. No wonder the crown prince’s side had agreed to the proposal.

"But would King George really be that nice?" Sharky couldn’t help but ask. This test was extremely important. "Ok, so the meeting ended." Catherine announced, and with Catherine’s decision, this meeting ended.

But as soon as Sharky came out of the meeting room, he was summoned by the Emperor.
