The others left after receiving their orders. Sharky and Zhuxie Chixin were the only ones left in the study.

Sharky was alarmed. He knew that the emperor was talking about Crystal’s master. And he already knew he was not able to do it.

Zhuxie Chixin shook his head.

He looked towards the Emperor, and replied, "Your majesty’s reward and punishment are not fair. I do not accept it!"

The emperor proudly said, "Does this emperor need you to accept what I want done?"

Sharky again replied, "Crown Princess is my sister, there is nothing wrong about carrying her, and about Princess. So from the Royal College time, we are friends, there is also nothing wrong here. So, your decision is wrong."

"What?" Sharky asked back. He was not in the mood to hear him.

"Okay, I am wrong here, but if you complete some tasks for me. I will personally apologize to you, and even give you some rewards." The Emperor said.

"I don’t need your apology, just tell me, what are your tasks," Sharky replied.

The Emperor again became angry with him. He didn’t know why this guy does not do as others do.

The emperor continued. "Help me take care of two matters. The first matter is to investigate how the assassins were able to get into the palace through the layers of guards."

Sharky replied. "Aren’t you assigning this task to the Left and Right Guard Generals?"

The emperor shot him a look. "They will investigate what they need to. But you also need to find it."

Sharky understood, the emperor didn’t fully trust the Left and Right Generals.

The emperor continued, "Secondly, you are to investigate who leaked out information regarding the fact that I wasn’t in the palace. Those assassins were able to grasp the timing so well. I refuse to believe that it was all just a coincidence."

Sharky asked back, "Why don’t you have Commander Zhuxie lead some other men to investigate this? They are much more skilled at this."

"If I tell you to do it, then you do it. What is with all of this rubbish?" The emperor’s expression became overcast. Normally, those subjects didn’t even dare to breathe too heavily in front of him, yet this fella continuously talked back to him.

After a bit of hesitation, the emperor thought that since he was going to assign Sharky to this case, then there are some things that he indeed had to let him know about.

Sharky was surprised. "Then you are suspecting Zhuxie and the others?"

He thought while walking past the rock garden, lost in his own thoughts. Suddenly, a hand reached out from the rock garden and pulled him in.

He was stunned at first, but then he recovered when the hand touched his shoulder.

One hand was on his shoulder, pulling him into the garden, while the other hand wrapped around his neck. If this person wanted him dead, he would be dead for sure.
