Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 64: Guilty
Callum grew increasingly panicked as his stepmother became increasingly aggressive. He was now thinking about how to stop her from entering his room. He kept clearing his throat as he slowly rubbed his stomach. He was actually sending a strong signal that he was hungry and wanted to finish his delayed cooking. If his stepmother entered his room excessively, his plans would be ruined in an instant. Especially if his stepmother entered the guest room, which was now Eliana’s room, he would panic even more.
"Mom, you really don’t have to go to this lengths. Besides, I just asked Patrick to help me find new furniture. You shouldn’t waste your money on useless things."
Diana nodded and patted her stepson’s shoulder. "Okay, then I won’t bother you any longer. Besides, I want to see Arabella after this."
"Please convey my message to her! I will not marry her."
"In fact, she came to see me a few days ago. She wanted me to help her persuade you."
"You don’t need to help her. If she really wants to marry me, she should be the one to seduce me."
"Don’t be too hard on her. She’s just a woman."
"Don’t worry, I definitely won’t disappoint her."
In the end, Diana decided to return to her residence to resume her activities, while Callum could breathe a sigh of relief after facing his greatest enemy. Now he returned to his lover, who was still hiding behind the walk-in closet. He was worried that she had secretly overheard the entire conversation from beginning to end.
As he entered the walk-in closet, he saw his girlfriend choosing watches from her collection with her little daughter.
"My daughter, which watch would you prefer me to wear?" Edith asked, showing me two watches: one with a butterfly motif and one with a plain beaded watch.
"I prefer watches with butterfly motifs because I really like butterflies," answered Eliana, pointing to the watch she was wearing on her left wrist.
Edith smiled broadly, stroking her little daughter’s tiny head. "I knew we had the same tastes."
"Why didn’t you tell me we have the same tastes?" Callum protested as he walked over to his girlfriend.
In fact, since overhearing the conversation between mother and son, Edith couldn’t contain her sadness. However, she tried to act strong so Callum wouldn’t worry her too much. Now she was flashing a beaming smile at her lover. Although she still didn’t remember anything about her relationship with Callum’s stepmother, she suspected from the start that something had happened between them.
"Callum, are you okay?" Edith asked, holding her lover’s hands tightly.
"Of course. I won’t be bitten by my own stepmother."
"But, hasn’t your relationship been going well all this time? Did she really offend you?"
"No. You don’t have to worry about me anymore." Callum poked his girlfriend’s nose for a moment. "I’m actually worried about you because you’re probably hungry."
Edith spontaneously embraced her lover’s hand. "Then, how about we continue cooking?"
"Of course. Actually, I’ve been really hungry for a while now."
"My poor darling."
"It’s okay. The important thing is that the problem has been resolved."
While enjoying breakfast with her young family, Edith kept a smile on her face for her boyfriend and twins. Every time her boyfriend pampered her, she felt increasingly guilty, as if she had instantly ruined his career. If they hadn’t met, would Callum be as successful as he is now? She didn’t want him to be reduced to the role of CEO of King’s Hotel.
"Edith, what’s wrong with you?" Callum asked, handing his girlfriend a few spoonful of soup.
"I’m fine." Edith briefly pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Why are you suddenly worried about me?"
"Because I feel like there’s something strange about you. If you’re feeling anxious, you should tell me."
As usual, Edith always uses pampering tricks so that her lover doesn’t worry her anymore. She rested her head on her lover’s shoulder while hugging him tightly.
"Actually, I’m a little sleepy today because I didn’t get enough sleep last night."
Callum stroked his girlfriend’s head for a moment. "Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Then I wouldn’t have had to wake you up so early."
"Mommy, forgive us!" said the twins in unison.
"It’s okay. This isn’t your fault."
"I should have let you wake up late today," Callum said, looking down.
"It’s okay. I don’t want to waste our holiday just sleeping anyway. Actually, today I wanted to go swimming with you and the twins."
"No way!" Callum snapped.
In an instant her lips moved. "Why? I really can’t swim? Besides, the weather is very hot today."
"Anyway, I’m not letting you swim today. It’s better for you to rest than to tire yourself out even more."
Eliana also nodded in support of her father. "What you said is true. It’s best if you rest today, Mom."
"Besides, we can swim whenever we want," Erdin added.
Seeing that her twins also cared deeply for her, Edith felt even more reluctant to leave Callum’s life one day. If she were the primary cause of the destruction of her young family, she couldn’t imagine what the future would hold. Would her twins harbor a grudge against her, or would they simply not care because they still didn’t understand adult issues.
"Okay, since your father is so stubborn about wanting me to rest all day today, I will definitely comply."
Callum kissed his girlfriend’s cheek repeatedly. "I’ll give you a brownie later for obeying me."
"I can’t wait to try your brownies even though we just made them yesterday."

Meanwhile, at another luxurious residence, Diana returned to her home and encountered Arabella, who was striding around the living room in her elegant state. Diana smiled kindly as she approached her future daughter-in-law.
"Arabella, what are you doing here?"
Arabella greeted her future in-laws warmly. "Of course, I wanted to visit you on your holiday. I happened to bring you some roses."
"Thank you, Arabella. You really care about me."
"Actually, there’s another reason I suddenly came to you. Is there any progress about Callum?"
